The Guardian gods Chapter 126

"Really. I don’t know why but every part of this world is filled with their offspring" Red answered confused. Then Ebonwarth took a look at the dragons around before asking with a serious tone "So have any of the gods been receiving human worship yet" Almost like a memory was unlocked in all the dragon brain, their eyes dilated as they all looked seriously at each other before Amethyst spoke up "In my continent, it hasn’t become widespread but it is a rising trend among the humans" The other dragons shook their head as before Cerlu spoke up "No human have seen the amphibian race yet and know nothing of their existence so now worship from the humans to the sea god" Red then spoke up "But from the way things are going it won’t be long, very soon the gods offspring will introduce their worship to the humans not knowing what they are doing" "I’m sure you all have smelt the scent of those disgusting demons, they have made their way into this world and from how things are going the humans yet have no idea on what is going on. I wouldn’t put it past me if the offspring of the gods already noticed something wrong" Virdig showed a thinking look "You mean to say the existence of the demons will lead to the humans turning to the offsprings of the gods for help and in turn exposing their existence. In turn humans will do what they do best, admire or worship anything higher or unexplainable to them" Virdig words made all the dragons nod their head in agreement. Red then spoke up "It seems our goal and purpose in this world have presented themselves" "Indeed, even though we are now dragons, this world is where we were born so we have every right to protect it," Ebonwrath said. The dragons murmured amongst themselves, their eyes gleaming with anticipation and uncertainty. The inherited memory and enigmatic ways of the origin gods weighed heavily upon their minds. "I really don’t know if we are lucky or unlucky to be one of the dragons in existence to share worlds with Origin gods in it" Amethyst said in a questioning tone. A chuckle came from Ebonwrath, "I would say luck in a way, most born dragons have to ascend to get into a world but we are born in it, our starting point is much higher than most" "Our transformation into dragons is both a blessing and a burden," Red deep voice said, his voice resonating with solemnity. "We must tread carefully in our new goal, lest we incur the wrath of the gods and invite calamity upon ourselves, like you said we are starting at a higher point that most and I would like to live long enough to enjoy the benefits." A wave of concern spreads through the gathered dragons. They know what they plan to do will cause the ire of the gods, challenging the already established order of this world but they have to do something and can only hope that the gods are reasonable and understand why they do the things they do. "Be careful on how things play out, humans and gods have been known for their cunningness. If in our haste to do right we become mere pawns in the game of gods and humans that will be disgraceful" Ebonwrath said as Virdig sighed lazily in turn. "You just made me not want to do this, I really don’t enjoy mind games" Virdig said as other dragons nodded their heads in agreement. The years went by fast and only one year left before the prophesied time, Nana said the gods will awaken. The planet Nana has undergone a huge change over the last 49 years, almost like a silent agreement, every part of the world was changing. The prehistoric world of Nana was no longer there, instead it was a world that was quickly rising in technology. Kingdom sprouting all over the place, humans no longer wearing furs but dressing decently in their robes and clothes. Strangely what hasn’t changed was how the planets still was bountiful with trees and remaining with life in, even with all the quick infractrasure going on, this was because of a well known group or some call it "Cult of Ikenga" that serves under the God of Nature known as Ikenga. The residents of Nana, know well to care for nature and not take more than its needed from it because of this group, as people have come to fear and respect the name of the god Ikenga. Most kingdom now sprout throughout the world of Nana has a respect for this said god. It all started with a kingdom long since fallen which serves as an example for all others on what this "Cult" Could do if one was to pose a threat to nature and the land itself. The kingdom of Eldoria located in the southern continent stood as a testament to human ambition and power. For decades, its rulers had exploited the land without regard for the consequences even after the countless warnings whispered by the Cult of Ikenga. As the kingdom’s borders expanded, forests were razed, rivers diverted, and mountains stripped of their riches. The people of Eldoria reveled in their prosperity, blind to the damage they are causing to the surroundings. This led to the cult of Ikenga taking matters into their own hands. Crops withered, rivers ran dry, and the earth grew barren. Desperate for salvation and too prideful to stop their doings, the rulers of Eldoria turned to forbidden magics, seeking to bend nature to their will. Their hubris would be their downfall, and their kingdom became a sight to see for everyone around the world of Nana. In the dead of night, as thunder rumbled ominously in the distance, the Cult of Ikenga descended upon Eldoria, led by one of its leaders Brix. Clad in robes of green and wielding the power of the earth itself, they unleashed a power rarely even seen before. When dawn Came over the shattered remains of Eldoria, the kingdom lay in ruins, a stark reminder of the consequences of arrogance and greed. The survivors whispered tales of the wrath of the gods, their voices filled with fear and awe of the incident. Torrential rains flooded the once-proud streets, swallowing buildings whole. Earthquakes shook the very foundations of Eldoria’s castles, reducing them to rubble. And from the shadows of the forest, creatures chased away because of the doings of the Eldoria people also joined in the pandemonium. The kingdom of Eldoria was left that way for a week for the others to see and served as a warning, and before the eyes of those who came to see the fallen kingdom, Brix and the treants around restore the previously destroyed land back to the way it was before. The only proof of the Eldoria kingdom ever existing was the buildings, stones and rubbles now overgrown with weeds that can tell the tale of a prosperous kingdom ever being there. This incident brought fear to many and at the same time respect, as they have always undermined the work of the Cult of Ikenga since their existence was known. Most know of the story about how the Cult began a few months after the rain of fire disasters hit their world. It was the Cult of Ikenga who took it upon themselves to travel all over the world of nana to make sure that their land was restored and people once again have food to eat and animals to hunt as after the disaster, food was hard to find and animals were also scarce too. Another group or beings known throughout the world of Nana over the last 49 years were the dragons, who goes by by many names for the humans but the one they were mostly known for were "Teachers" It’s common knowledge for humans that dragons were the ones that brought them out of their ignorance about life. The dragons were the ones who took it upon themselves to educate most humans on the common knowledge about their world. They were the ones who taught humans how to lead, framing and growing a civilization, they also taught the humans knowledge about the mysterious energy flowing in their world which is "Mana" Though the humans have grown in strength and power, even to the level of starting a kingdom of their own. In a way the dragons are indirectly one of the reasons why there are so many human kingdoms around. Before the last disappearance of the dragons, they did something that today has an effect on the pact of growth for the people of Nana. They with their knowledge created something called "Gates", which can be located in different location around the world, sadly the existence of the gates were short lived before it was monopolized by their neighbor which the humans have come to know as "Offspring of the gods"
