Thea's Point of View
She moved her side lip up and pulled me toward the bar.
A bouncer blocked our way into the bar by standing in front of it. “Megan! You haven't been here long, have you?" He gave Megan a smile.
Oh. So Megan is here all the time?
"You're right, Li! I'm kind of busy. Can I still get in even though I'm dressed this way? We were not ready because..."
"Without question. The only thing I want to know is how old is your friend? And I've only just seen her?"
"She just came with me. Please, let us in! You're younger than my friend!"
"Who can resist both gorgeous, anyway?" The bouncer laughed.
We were welcomed inside by the blue light, the smell of alcohol, the loud music, and the mixed smoke.
"It's making me dizzy," I whispered to Megan, but she didn't hear me, so I put my ear to hers and yelled.
"There's a lot of noise. Can I just think of something else to do to get back at Craig?" Because the music was so loud, I still had to shout in her ear.
"It will be easier for us to do it like this. Sit down and wait. I'll make sure that your husband gets here." She yelled in my ear, too.
I sat down at the bar's counter. Megan was just standing beside me and asked for a glass of wine. "I'll get my friend a Rum light. I can't let her throw a bunch of puke."
"Wait a minute!" I stopped the bartender. "Is there nothing else there that's stronger?"
"We have Rum Dark, but I have tequila for you. Silver tequila is superior to gold tequila for margaritas." He explained everything to me, even though I couldn't understand what he was saying.
"That's all up to you. Just give me some excellent alcohol." I kept looking around because I was afraid that someone might know me.
"Are you sure I can't be seen by anyone?" I asked Megan and tried to be less harsh. The noise at the bar counter was no longer too loud, so there was no need to yell.
Megan couldn't answer my question because the tequila was already in front of me. We talk about why she doesn't work with them to run their business. She just said that she didn't like the name "Arrange Marriage."
Two men came up to us while we were talking. Both tall and of mixed race. They were younger than me; I think they were in their early 20s.
I remembered Craig...
I have no idea how old Craig is. I think he is between 28 and 30 years old. It's terrible to think that I don't know even the smallest things about him. What is his favorite?
I was on my second shot of tequila when Megan pushed me out of my seat and over to the guy with the undercut.
“There! She is yours to keep. And—No, she isn't married!" Megan winked at me. I couldn't say anything because the man had already touched me. I'm dizzy, so I can't stop him.
"Please let go of me. It's not true what Megan says." But the music was too loud for him to hear me.
When I turned to leave, he grabbed me at the waist and made me dance. I could feel what it was between his legs. I tried to push him, but I was too weak because I was so dizzy. When he grinds even more, the thing in the middle of his pants gets bigger. I can already feel his breath on the back of my neck.
Who is he? I try to move his face away from my neck, but he stays put. I don't know what to say.
I was about to ask for help from the guy next to us when a man walked up to me.
"Ahhhh!!!"
I heard a scream from the dancers before I could even look up to see who it was. And...
The person who was putting pressure on me was now laying on the ground.
The next thing I knew, Craig stood next to him, and the anger in his eyes was clear to see.
Craig hit the man, sending him tumbling to the ground. He was gasping for air as blue lightning whirled around his hands and gripped them tightly. Smoke surrounded him.
After wiping the blood off his lips, the man stood up. When he screamed, the roars in the studio made bouncers run toward us.
"Who're you?! You scumbag?" He was about to hit Craig when two bouncers stopped him.
Craig stayed put and gave the man a stern look. I stood there, too, and watched what was going on. I don't know what to do. Instead of getting angry like Megan and I had planned, I kept quiet.
The man was still trying to get away so he could get back at Craig when Megan and another man, who was hit by Craig, came to help.
Megan smiled and waved, but I just looked at her like she was crazy. The man was yelping like a crazy person at his sounds, and he looked like he was about to drool.
Because of what happened, my once-drunk soul and shaky mind seemed to have been rehydrated and refreshed.
"I'm fine. You can let me go." Craig said and the bouncers let him out slowly to keep him calm.
When Craig doesn't move, they let go of him. When everyone thought everything was finally fine, Craig suddenly jumped up and hit the man in the face again.
People who used to shout are now laughing. Craig dragged me out, and I couldn't catch my breath because of how fast he walked.
“Ouch!” I groaned.
These high heels hurt my feet, and it just snapped. I was shocked and felt like I couldn't move my foot.
He came to a stop, but he didn't look back. He also let go of my hand.
"Are you going to tell your husband why you're here? Why did you leave the event without telling anyone and then say you don't want to go home?"
I could see how angry his eyes were. I just sat there and rubbed my foot, even though he didn't look up. I didn't say anything and kept tapping my foot like nothing had happened.
