The Flying Colors Chapter 7

Grey chuckled. “But I saw Red when I came in. He was in the garden eating a whole strawberry cake." Cashmere's eyes widened. "What?" She opened the refrigerator only to find out that the cake she put there earlier was now gone. "Ugh, I can't believe Red still took it. I already gave him two slices earlier." Cashmere bit her lower lip. Now, Grey was here. But her cake was already gone. "Come on, Cashmere," Grey said beside her. "Don't be sad now. I can punch him for you, you know." Cashmere turned to Grey, who she found smiling at her. She couldn't help the smile that formed on her face. "Really? Can you do that?" He shrugged, smiling. "Well, he stole your cake. I think he deserved a punch for that." Cashmere chuckled. "Thanks, Grey. But I think I'd just punch him myself." Grey playfully raised his brows. "You knew how to punch?" "Of course, what do you think of me? Weak." It was Grey's turn to chuckle. "I didn't say anything, Cash." She pursed her lower lip. "Anyway, I still have cupcakes here in the fridge. Do you want some, Grey?” I took the tray of cupcakes that u put in the ref and placed it on the counter. "Wow," Grey commented, glancing at the cupcakes before looking at me. "Are you sure you want to give me some? You know, I have a feeling one isn't enough for me." Cashmere chuckled. "You can take all of them and I wouldn't mind." "What?" His eyebrow raised in curiosity and amusement. "Really, Cashmere?" Cashmere bit her lower lip. "Well, you can pay me if you decide to eat all of these," I said, joking. He grinned. “Sounds fair enough...” He took one and tasted it. “How was it?” Cashmere asked, she couldn't hide the excitement in her voice. “Damn. It's so good.” Grey even gave her a thumbs-up. “You're really the best, Cash.” Her heart made a cartwheel inside her chest with his praise for her.  “Thanks, Grey,” she said, smiling widely. “If you ever decide to put up a bakeshop in the future, I swear I'd be one of your regular customers," he said. "I might even franchise it." “Wow, Grey,” she muttered, amused. “Are you sure about that?” “Of course,” he answered, confidently. “You don't believe me?" Cashmere smiled. “I believe you..” She secretly bit her lower lip as she watched Grey devour the cupcakes in front of them. Shucks, the way he bit, chewed, and swallowed the cupcake was enough to seduce Cashmere. She continued to watch his every move. How his naturally red lips moved, how his jaw clicked, how his Adam's apple bobbed up and down. Cashmere found herself swallowing as Grey licked some crumbs off his lips. She couldn't help but remember Irani's questions to her the other day in the library. "You've been crushing on Grey for almost a year now, right? Is it just a happy crush? Or did you ever wish that your feelings would get reciprocated, too?" Cashmere closed down the book on the table and turned to Irani who was looking at her with a curious face. "Well, it was a happy crush at first. But lately, I couldn't but wish that he would finally notice me or just find me attractive." "Don't you have any plans to tell Grey that you like him?" Cashmere shook her head. She then pursed her lips. "I don't, Irani. Even if I tell him that I like him, nothing would happen. It's unlikely that he'd notice me in a romantic way." Irani frowned. "Why is it impossible when you're pretty, Cashmere? Not only that. You're also kind, and adorable and you baked so well. What's not to like about you?" Cashmere chuckled. "You're really my best friend, Irani." "What? All of them are true, Cash. So, I don't understand why you believe that Grey couldn't like you." Cashmere sighed. "It's because I'm Blue's younger sister." "What does Blue have to do with this?" Irani's brows furrowed more. "Because Grey only sees me as a sister, Irani. Since I'm Blue's younger sister, his bandmates also think of me as their younger sister. And that includes Grey." Irani slowly nodded in understanding. "I get it. In short, you got sister zoned?" Cashmere nodded at her best friend. "Yeah. That's the term, Irani. Sisterzoned." If there's seenzoned and friendzoned, there's also the term sisterzoned. It would be unlikely for Grey to like her in a romantic way since she was his friend's little sister. She knew that Grey only sees her as a little sister, nothing more, nothing less. That's the reason why never once thought of admitting her feelings for Grey. "But what if you're the only one thinking that way, Cashmere?" Irani said. "Why don't you try to tell Grey your feelings first? He doesn't have a girlfriend anyway, does he?" Cashmere shook her head. "He doesn't have one." Even if a lot of girls were flocking over Grey, she never heard of him having a girlfriend ever since she'd met him. Among the four members of the Flying Colors, she could say that Grey is the nicest. He isn't hot-headed like her brother Blue, he isn't a playboy like her cousin Red and he isn't a snob like Indigo. Grey was the good boy of the band. "Well, he's been single since you know him. So why don't you try to admit your feelings for him, Cashmere? There's nothing wrong if you decide to take your chance." Cashmere sighed. "I don't think I have the courage to do it, Irani." Just being around Grey was already making her heart pound like crazy. What more if she'd try to confess to him? “Cash, you're spacing out.” Cashmere was back in the present when she heard Grey's voice. She blinked a few times and awkwardly smiled at him. "I'm sorry, I just remembered someone…" "Who?" Grey's eyebrows rose at her. Even his forehead furrowed. "Who is it that you're thinking, Cashmere?"
