The Extra Seeks Chaos Chapter 220

"I trust you, Arin," Leon stared at Arin with a smile. "And I'll follow you..." Arin smiled beneath his mask. 'Perfect...' With this, he could now carry on. "Thank you, Leon," Arin said. Leon smiled in reply. He had already decided in his heart that this was the right decision. He didn't know what would happen from here on out, but he was ready to follow Arin. Tessa stared at Leon, her gaze soft. "Thank you, Leon." Leon instantly looked at her, his eyes gleaming as he rushed towards her. "Anything for you, Queen Tessa!" "So you only agreed because of Tessa, huh?" Arin joked as he shook his head. Tessa chuckled as she tried to push Leon away from her. "So, where will we go to since we're not joining any army?" Leon asked. "About that..." Arin grinned as he stared at Tessa. After a few more minutes of discussing, Arin finally told them to meet again here fifteen minutes after the class where everyone will be assigned to a city. With that, Arin exited the forest. Pulling his mask, he headed towards the dorm building. There was still a few minutes before everyone was expected to go to their different classes. "Everything is happening so fast," Arin muttered as he entered his room and sat on the bed. "That Vaelric... He never liked peace," Seraphine muttered, though her voice held a certain kind of anger. Well, because of what Vaelric was doing, her father was getting stressed, and any daughter would not be happy with that, right? Arin smiled wryly. 'If this had happened in the novel, then at least, it would've been the first time something chaotic happened.' Thinking about it, Vaelric was never satisfied with the fact that the King wasn't intending to wage war against the humans, which meant that this would have eventually happened. But why hadn't it happened yet in the novel? What was making it delay? Till the novel went on hiatus, nothing much was mentioned about the Vampires, which meant that the readers didn't even know much about the Progenitors. That was why Arin's knowledge was quite lacking when it came to things related to the Vampires. 'So, this could only mean that the author wasn't planning for Vaelric to attack the humans anytime soon,' Arin thought. And if he were to come up with a reason for that, then the answer would be... Arin's eyes widened slightly. 'Did the author perhaps delay Vaelric's attack because he wanted to further strengthen Alex?... If that's the case, then that means...' Arin got up, his brows furrowed. 'It can't be possible, right?...' If it was true that the author wanted to further strengthen Alex before Vaelric's attack would happen, then that meant that... 'Vaelric is stronger than Alex...' Arin shook his head. 'No, that's not possible.' Though, the more Arin thought about it, the more he was beginning to feel like it was possible. 'Vaelric... Stronger than Alex...' Arin sighed as he realized it was time to go to the classroom. 'I'll make sure to keep this thought at the back of my mind... It might just turn out to be true.' With that, he left the room and the dorm building and began walking towards the Main Academy building. On his way, his mind drifted to the notifications he has been receiving. Ever since the tournament began, the system had been displaying a notification numerous times. At one point, he even had to tell the system to stop showing him notifications because it could distract him in the fight. Curiously, he activated the notifications again. [An Unwritten Event is happening.] [An Unwritten Event is happening.] [An Unwritten Event is happening.] [An Unwritten Event is happening ×100] Arin raised a brow as he saw the amount of times this particular notification came. Of course, he knew what the notification meant, and it was even beneficial to him. 'Ah, this just shows that the fourth skill is a real deal,' Arin thought. 'To some extent, that skill is my trump card.' He smiled as he remembered the effect of the skill. Finally, he got to the class and went to his usual seat at the back. A few minutes later, Riya entered the class, holding a heap of papers. Without saying anything, she instantly began sharing the papers one by one. As soon as she shared for the first four students, she began speaking while sharing for the rest. "As you can see, your name is displayed on that paper, along with the city you have been assigned to," she began, "and there's also instructions written on the paper. You must follow those instructions once you get to the city you were assigned to." The students who had already received their own paper began reading through what was written on it. A girl suddenly stood up abruptly, making the chair make a loud creak sound. Everyone instantly looked at her as she exclaimed in joy. "Yes! I got assigned to the city my parents live!" Chatter instantly filled the classroom. Her happiness was understandable, and even a few others who had already received their own paper stared at her in envy. "Alright, that's enough!" Riya said, making the class calm again. She continued sharing the papers until she finally reached Arin. They both stared at each other for a few seconds, as she dropped the paper on his table. The look in her eyes. He could tell something was off. And whatever it was, it was definitely related to the paper. Averting his gaze from her eyes, he picked the paper and began reading it while she continued sharing for the last set of students. As Arin read the contents of the paper, his expression began changing. His expression went from calm, to surprised, to curious, and then realization. "I knew it," Arin muttered as he gripped the paper. "The King wouldn't just give out three blessed items like that..." On the top left of the paper, his name, Rank, and Affinity was written, followed by the city he originally came from. The contents of the paper read: Arin Vale, as the principal of your Academy has announced, students will be joining an army. Due to being among the three students who won the tournament for your Academy, you have been assigned a special task. A royal carriage will arrive in the Academy, and take you to the city where your family are living. After staying with them for the whole day, you will be taken to the castle where you will have a meeting with the King, and you will receive further details of your task. Make sure to gather all your belongings today in preparation for when the carriage will arrive tomorrow. Arin's eyes went down to the bottom of the paper and saw that the royal family's insignia was there, signifying that it was indeed straight from the castle. As soon as he raised his head, his eyes met with Tessa who was staring at him. He nodded, signifying that he also received the same message. 'Ron must've also received the same message,' Arin thought. Now he knew why Riya was staring at him like that. She had definitely read the contents of the paper. The class was once again filled with chatter as the students began discussing about the different cities they were assigned to. Riya didn't bother to say anything this time. She just let them talk, after all, this was likely the last time some of them would speak to each other again or even see each other. And apart from that, some of them who ended up being assigned to the same city used this opportunity to become friends. After all, it wasn't like they would know anybody in the new city they were going to. "Alright, class. I guess this is the end of my class," Riya said as she prepared to leave the class. But before she could leave, a boy's voice was suddenly heard. "Thank you for teaching us a lot of things, Miss Riya. We will miss you." Her head instantly turned, searching for who spoke. And behold, her ears weren't betraying her. In that instant, the students suddenly realized that Riya would no longer teach them. Riya was quite strict, but in the end, it was her strictness that made them learn well. They learned how to focus and listen attentively because of her. Yes, she wasn't the most playful teacher, but in the end, she did her job and taught them well. She was their teacher. Riya didn't even know when a smile blossomed on her face. The girl seated beside Leon suddenly got up and rushed towards Riya, hugging her tightly. "W... We will miss you," the girl said in-between sobs. The other students were instantly touched as some began tearing up. The other girls in the class also rushed towards Riya, hugging her as well. The boys remained seated, but their eyes held a look of respect as they stared at their teacher. Her eyes were widened and she didn't know how to react to this. Gently, she wrapped her arms around them, hugging the crying girls back with a smile while she glared at Arin. Arin just chuckled and gave her a wink before standing up. Without a doubt, Arin wanted her to realize her worth, and with this, she would now know that she had made a great impact on the lives of the students. 'Alright, time to continue the plan,' Arin thought as the image of where him, Leon, Tessa and Riya would go flashed in his head. 'That would be the perfect place. And as for the occupants, I have a plan for that...'
