The Extra Seeks Chaos Chapter 20

The sunlight peeked through the window, signifying that it was already morning. Arin's eyes fluttered open as he stared at the ceiling for a few seconds. His mind instantly drifted to today's events, including the plan he had in mind. 'If I play my cards right, everything will work out,' Arin thought as he got up and stretched his arms. He decided to carry out some light exercises before doing anything else. As soon as he finished, he walked toward the bathroom and freshened up before coming out. As he started putting on his uniform, a sound suddenly reverberated through the room. "Huh? What was that?" Arin muttered, but he quickly realized what was going on. His stomach just spoke an ancient language, and he didn't need anyone to tell him that it meant hunger. 'Shit... I didn't eat anything before sleeping yesterday,' he thought. He had planned to go to the cafeteria, but it seemed he had fallen asleep before he could. Arin sighed and closed his eyes. "I'll just go this morning before class." Reflecting on yesterday, before he had slept off, he had decided to ask the system about the Hidden Elements. Though he tried to twist his questions to make them less obvious, the system still refused to give him any information. It only mentioned that there were "some" Elements in this world that no one knew about, and Chaos was one of them. Arin finished putting on his uniform. "There are many mysteries in this world, but the biggest mystery remains the system... What exactly is it? Who created it?" Arin muttered. If there was one thing he noticed, it was that the system was hiding things and didn't want to let him know about certain things. It was clear that someone was controlling it. While Arin was thinking about all this, a smirk formed on his face. "If it turns out that someone is trying to use me, then I'll just use them..." As for when he would get another spell for the Chaos Element, he didn't know, and the system hadn't even mentioned it. 'Well, I don't have to rely on the system. I'll just find a way to create a spell myself.' Arin walked towards the door, ready to leave, but at the same time... He suddenly heard a knock on the door, making him squint his eyes. "Who is it?" Instantly, a boy's voice was heard. "I came to deliver your training gear." 'Why does that voice sound familiar?' Arin couldn't help but think as soon as he heard the boy's voice. Nevertheless, he walked towards the door and opened it, revealing the boy. 'No wonder his voice sounded familiar,' Arin thought as he stared at the boy. It was the red-haired boy from his class who had answered the Weapon Training teacher's question. He was currently holding what looked like clothes. "Good morning," the boy said. "Teacher Dan assigned me to deliver the training gear to all the male students." "I see..." Arin said. "Okay, thanks." He collected the clothes from the boy before shutting the door. Arin walked back to his bed and sat down, scrutinizing the training gear. The first thing he noticed was that his name was printed on it. He then unfolded the cloth to get a full view. It was a full-body training outfit, black in color, and from what he could see, it was designed to be tight-fitting. This was likely to provide ease of movement during training while also enhancing physical feedback. They would have to wear it for the Weapon Training class, but for the Magic Theory class, they would be allowed to wear their normal uniforms. Knowing that, Arin dropped the training outfit on the bed before leaving the room and shutting the door. Instantly, he walked down the stairs and reached the exit of the dorm building. "I should've expected this," he muttered as he spotted Lina standing not too far from him. She was just looking at the other students who were passing by, waving at some of them. Her eyes were darting from left to right, and she was tapping the ground with her toes, making it obvious she was waiting for something or someone. Her eyes darted to the male dorm building, and she instantly spotted Arin. Her eyes widened, and her mouth dropped open as she dashed towards Arin. "Arin! Arin!" Lina waved at him while running, a bright smile on her face. Since Lina had said she would check up on him, Arin had a feeling that she would be here. Of course, she couldn't possibly enter the male dorm building, so she decided to wait outside. Finally, she reached Arin, her arms wide open, ready for a hug, but Arin just began walking past her. Shock was evident in her eyes. "Huh?" she muttered. "What just happened?" Before she could even ask Arin anything, he spoke. "Good morning," he said. Since he didn't hug her, he decided to at least talk to her; otherwise, there was a possibility that she would break down in tears instantly. "Oh, good morning! How are you feeling now?" Lina asked, ignoring the fact that Arin didn't hug her. She just assumed he still wasn't feeling well. "I'm better now," Arin said. "I'm going to the cafeteria." Lina's eyes instantly lit up in excitement, her white hair swaying in the cool breeze. "Perfect timing! I'm also going to the cafeteria." Arin nodded as they both continued walking, chatting along the way. After a few moments, they reached a one-story building that wasn't too far from the main Academy building. As soon as Arin entered the building, the sweet smell of meat, bread, and other delicacies wafted toward his nose, making his stomach growl once again. "Hehehe," Lina chuckled as she heard Arin's stomach grumble. "I guess you're just too hungry." Arin couldn't help but glare at her after hearing what she said. "Bro, don't be mad at me," Lina pouted. To be honest, Arin was tired of all this, but after remembering his goal for today, he decided to ignore it. 'I just have to eat, attend class... and then...' Arin thought as an image flashed in his mind. 'It must have started blooming by now...'
