The Extra Seeks Chaos Chapter 192

Vaelric's long red hair fluttered, fully showing the scar on his left cheek, as he folded his arms with a grin on his face. "Finally, we can all show these humans who the supreme race is," he said as his grin widened. The Vampires behind him laughed after hearing what he said. Even though they didn't look like it, they were actually Vampires. They looked like humans because they were now able to cover their Blood Energy. Yes, they were now able to do that because of a single person. "Vaelric, I've done my part now," a man said as he stepped forward from the crowd of Vampires. He had white hair, and the slight wrinkles on his face were the evidence of his declining age. He also had white beards and was wearing a black cloak. Unlike the others present, this man was actually human, and he was the one who made it possible for these Vampires to be able to wield Mana. Because of that, these Vampires present could now cover their Blood Energy with their newly gained Mana, hiding their Vampiric features. It was also the same for Vaelric, but he decided to still remain in his Vampire form for now. Vaelric turned to look at the old man who just arrived beside him. An amused smirk formed on his face. "Oh, that's true," Vaelric said. "We're now able to use Mana and have discovered our different Affinities. We have even learned a few Spells because of you." The old man nodded his head rapidly before speaking, "Yes, so you have to keep your own end of the deal." Vaelric glared at him. "What deal?" "Huh? We agreed that you would let me go immediately we arrive at the human realm," the man said. "It's time to fulfill your own part of the deal." Vaelric chuckled. "Oh, that..." He suddenly leaned closer to the man, his eyes glowing red. "I'm sorry, human, but that won't be possible." The man gritted his teeth. "What the hell do you mean by that?" "You heard me," Vaelric said. "Sorry, you're just a weakling. What makes you think that I have to uphold a stupid deal when I can just beat you to death?" The man's eyes suddenly teared up as he stuttered. "Ah, I... I knew I couldn't trust you." "Hahaha! What a joke!" Vaelric exclaimed as he gripped the man's neck. "You knew that you couldn't trust me, yet you still chose to trust me. How is that my fault?" The man struggled to release himself from Vaelric's grip, but it was to no avail. Vaelric's gaze deepened. "Now, listen to me. From now on, you'll do every single thing I tell you to do. Is that clear?" "Though, if you want to die in one of the most painful ways possible, then you can try running away or disobeying my orders. I won't hesitate to grant your death wish." The man's eyes widened as he forced himself to nod even while gasping for air. With that, Vaelric released him. "Everyone, let's start making plans on how to start the attack," he said as he faced the other Vampires. "Let's bring hell to these humans..." Arin's eyes snapped open as usual. He glanced at the window, and the rays of the sunrise were able to peek through even with Roxanne blocking the window. "Rise and shine, Master!" Seraphine exclaimed in his head. "Shut up, Seraphine," Arin winced with a frown on his face. "You're too loud." "Hehe, I just thought I should say something that some of the humans here say," Seraphine said. Arin just shook his head as he stood up. "Greetings, Master," Roxanne said. "Yeah, hope you enjoyed staring outside all through the night," Arin said with a small smile. "I don't really stare outside that long," Roxanne said, returning the smile. "I stop at one point and practice with my Blood Energy." Arin nodded as he walked into the bathroom, ready to freshen up. "How about you, Seraphine? How is your practice going?" Arin asked. "Hmm, I'm not that close to Ranking Up yet, but I'm still making progress," she replied. She was now able to stay outside for about an hour and a half now because she recently ranked up, so her practice had gotten much better. Arin nodded, and after freshening up, he exited the bathroom, ready to head to class. "I think I've gotten a better understanding of the Water Slash Spell," he muttered. "But I shouldn't create a new Spell yet. Maybe I should just get a little bit more understanding." He had been in the Mana Space all night till this morning, practicing his Water Slash Spell and observing little details about it, like the time it took to activate it, and also the timing at which the Slash would split to form two more Slashes. That was how to get an understanding of a Spell. He wore the bracelet and left Seraphine in the room before exiting the building. A few minutes later, he arrived in the class and went to his usual seat. 'I haven't seen that Assistant Principal since that day,' Arin thought. 'Either she's not in the Academy now, or she's actually in the Academy but hiding somewhere.' It wasn't like she had any reason to hide, but that was the theory Arin could come up with. 'And I've been even more curious about those eyes of hers ever since that day Riya told me about them.' Immediately Arin thought of Riya, she just walked into the class as if she was summoned by his thought. The class went smoothly, and since the competition was over, the Weapon Training class was also held. Though, Dan wouldn't stop complaining about why it was his class that had to get stopped because of the competition, and not Riya's class. Even though he was complaining about all these things under his breath, Arin could still hear him with his enhanced ears. Apart from that, Arin, Tessa and Alex were trained harder by Dan in the class which Arin guessed was as a result of them being the ones who would represent the Academy in the tournament. 'The last dude among us four might be facing the same thing in his class.' Finally, the class ended, and everyone retired to their rooms, awaiting the next day. "I haven't met Tessa as Chaos for a while now," Arin muttered as he entered his room. "Mostly because you're laying low," Seraphine said. "Remember, we still don't know who that Assistant Principal lady really is, and what her motive is." "I know," Arin said. "I should be able to meet Tessa after the tournament, though." With that, he entered his Mana space to practice his Water Slash Spell one more time before he would begin creating a new Spell. Understanding a Spell made it stronger bit by bit, so it wasn't like what Arin was doing was a waste of time. "Though, there's still a lot of things to do," Arin muttered. "I have to find out what the special thing about my Blood Armour is, especially that red orb." "Then I have to try creating a new Chaos Element Spell, then also create Water Element Spells, and also Rank up and learn new Vampiric Skills." "I don't need blood for now, moreover, I have to resist the urge so that I'll be able to go without blood for a long time in the future," he added. Arin sighed as he sat down on the ocean-like surface. "One thing at a time, Arin." He raised a brow. "But why do I feel like I'm forgetting something?" But the moment he had that thought, he instantly remembered. "Yes... I still don't know what my Special Ability as a Progenitor is..." He had long since realized that it wasn't the Chaos Element, because he already had the Chaos Element even before becoming a Vampire. "I also don't think it's the fact that the Chaos Element is the weakness of the Three Supreme Races," Arin muttered. "It was already something the Chaos Element could do, but I just didn't realize it." The thought kept bugging him for a few minutes before he decided to focus on his Water Slash Spell for now. "So many mysteries... but I swear, I'll solve them one by one while slowly achieving my goal." "So... we're going to wait here for how long? Forever?" Arin stared at Ron, the third boy among the four students who would represent the Academy in the tournament. "Just wait, Ron. I believe the carriage is almost here," Alex said as he folded his arms while glancing at Tessa and smiling at her occasionally. Arin just shook his head. "They're taking their time for sure." Just like Arin thought, the day of the tournament had reached in the blink of an eye, and all the first-year students had already been carried by the carriages in the Academy. The four of them were told that a carriage sent by the King himself would pick them up, but they had already been waiting for about an hour now. Before Ron could say anything else, they suddenly spotted a carriage heading towards them. The carriage stopped in front of the main Academy building, and the man driving it stared at them before speaking, "Alright, get in, we're heading towards Blackstone City at full speed." Instantly, the four of them entered the carriage. And before they could even sit properly... The carriage instantly moved with speed, almost making Tessa fall off the carriage. Instinctively, Arin caught her by the waist, stopping her from falling.
