"Ugh..." Alex groaned as he got up, now standing inside one of the girls' rooms. "Such teamwork... Even better than the last time."
But in the blink of an eye, two individuals suddenly appeared in front of him.
Without wasting time, he slammed his right foot on the room floor, summoning two Earth Walls.
Two swords instantly collided with the Earth Walls. The first one instantly shattered, but the second one managed to hold on, though severe cracks were on it.
But because Alex's feet were shrouded with Mana, and he slammed it on the floor, the floor couldn't hold on any longer.
The floor instantly caved in, making Alex fall to the room directly below him.
Two girls who were inside the room screamed as they dashed forward, evading the debris that was falling down.
What were two girls doing in one room, though?
They instantly opened the door and ran outside, still screaming.
Alex swiftly landed on the floor alongside Arin and Tessa, who didn't waste time attacking him.
They weren't intending to give him any breathing space.
Tessa instantly lunged at him, with her ponytail-styled hair bouncing behind her.
She instantly swung her sword towards Alex with force.
Alex furrowed his brows as he clapped his hands, using a Wind Element Spell, and instantly, the large debris that was behind him levitated and rushed towards Tessa's incoming sword.
The sword easily destroyed the debris, but Alex had already activated another Spell.
Lightning instantly shot out of his outstretched sword, heading towards Tessa.
The lightning was insanely fast, but there was someone else in the room who was faster.
"It seems you've forgotten that I'm here," Arin muttered with a smile.
In the blink of an eye, he had already appeared in front of Tessa with his two swords raised in an X shape.
The lightning collided with Arin's sword as he successfully deflected it.
In that same instant, Blood Energy gathered in his right hand as he quickly arrived in front of Alex.
Alex couldn't even say anything and barely managed to raise his sword on time before...
The force of Arin's sword was enough to send Alex flying. His body blasted through the wall of the room but still didn't stop.
He broke through two more walls before coming to a stop. Using a Wind Element Spell, he was able to land smoothly.
The occupants of the room that Alex's body destroyed had already begun screaming and running out of the dorm building.
Alex landed outside the dorm building as his eyes scanned the surroundings, readying himself for any attack.
"Tch... That Chaos... He's even faster than before," Alex muttered under his breath.
Arin's speed was something that gave Alex problems in their last battle, and now, he had already noticed that Arin's speed had even increased.
"Not only his speed, but also his strength," Alex added.
Alex grinned. "He wasn't the only one who improved..."
Tessa had already exited the dorm building and set her eyes on Alex, while Arin was still strolling out of the building, walking through the debris.
Since the battle started, he hadn't done much against Alex apart from this last strike. Seraphine, Tessa, Roxanne, and Leon were the ones who had really attacked.
'It's not like I don't want to attack him,' Arin thought. 'But I'll just be wasting my stamina, Mana, and Blood Energy.'
Arin had a good reason for this. He wanted Alex to go all out from the start.
If Alex didn't go all out, then he'd have to keep attacking, eventually making Alex go all out, but by then, he must have used a good amount of his Blood Energy and Mana.
'It'll be better if he just goes all out from the start, so that every bit of Mana and Blood Energy I use will be worth it.'
While Arin was having these thoughts, he had already reached the second-to-last room that was destroyed, and he could even see Alex through the gaping hole in the wall.
But then, he noticed that someone was seated on a chair at the corner of the destroyed room.
She had a small smile on her face as she stared at Arin with her deep purple eyes.
Her long purple hair was fluttering slightly, with a fringe covering her right eye.
Arin's eyes widened slightly. 'Kiara...'
Arin stopped walking as he stared at her. They both stared at each other in silence.
'The way she's looking at me...' Arin thought. 'She definitely knows.'
'She knows that I'm Arin.'
With the look in Kiara's eyes, it was obvious that she knew that the person she was currently staring at wasn't some mysterious masked dude.
She knew who was behind that mask...
She chuckled lightly as she got up from the chair while walking towards Arin.
"You know... Your scent gave you away," she muttered.
Arin was yet to say anything, though what she just said confirmed his suspicion.
"I recognized your scent that day we danced at the ceremony," she continued. "And it's the same scent you still have now... There's no difference."
Arin furrowed his brows. 'Recognized my scent? What is she? A dog? Because she's certainly not a Vampire... Or wait, maybe she's a Vampire who has completely masked her Blood Energy. Maybe that's why I felt strange when she smirked at me and even when we danced at the ceremony...'
Arin's thoughts spiraled as he had different theories about what Kiara was, because she certainly wasn't normal.
'I mean, a normal person wouldn't sit down on a chair so comfortably in the middle of an almost completely destroyed room,' Arin thought.
At this point, Arin knew that there was no point in lying.
He gazed at her before asking, "I'll ask you again. Who are you?"
He still hadn't forgotten about Alex, who was currently being jumped from all corners by Tessa and the others.
Suddenly, Kiara's smile vanished as she squinted her eyes.
"Wait... This Energy I'm sensing from you..."
Arin raised a brow. "Huh?"
Kiara's eyes suddenly widened. "D... Don't tell me... You are a Vampire?!"
