Abomination was a demon that grew over time. The longer it remained in Hyades, the greater the corruption it would spread. At the same time, the mayhem it caused would catalyze greater evolutions, and in due time, it would be practically unstoppable.
"Hard to say," Yue shook her head. For the first time since regressing, she felt like she had lost all control over reality. "In my original timeline, we didn't manage to defeat Abomination. We only managed to expel it from our dimension. But since the Sword Saint isn't its vessel…"
Yue harboured an unthinkable thought… She aimed to kill this immortal being and sever the wings of the Demon Cult once and for all.
"If I remember correctly… Abomination is immune to all physical damage."
"That's right, it will regenerate anything that damages its body."
"And it is resistant to most magic spells."
"Magic doesn't work when it's shrouded with that thick demonic miasma." Yue answered once more, her tone deepening gravely. "Ah, and don't forget its mental interference immunity!"
"That doesn't make me feel any better…"
While Amon and Yue were deep in their strategy meeting, the Abomination finally stirred from its slumber. After the summoning, it had taken some time to adjust and grasp its surroundings. Instinctively, Amon and Yue stepped back, retreating to stand beside Arya and Bawi, who were watching the scene with wide, fearful eyes.
"A-Amon… B-Big brother… W-What is that?" Arya stammered, her voice trembling with fear.
"I don't have time to explain! Take Bawi and head to town! Help with the evacuation!" Amon ordered sharply.
"B-But, a-are you really going to face t-that?!"
Arya pointed a shaky finger at the monstrous creature. Though it hadn't fixed its gaze on her, a wave of despair washed over her. Against that demon… she felt as insignificant as a firefly beneath a full moon. Beside her, Bawi's hand gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, her muscles quivering with tension.
"Don't worry," Amon said with cold resolve. "I'll handle it."
"He's right, Arya. Don't dwell on it too much," Yue added, her voice calm and reassuring. "After all, he's not alone."

"Heh heh heh, we won't die that easily. I still owe you a niece, after all!" Yue responded with a playful chuckle.
Amon watched silently as Arya and Bawi withdrew. While they weren't truly safe in Espadavale, at least they were away from the epicentre of the chaos—and that was the best he could hope for.
Just as Amon was about to drift into anxious thoughts, the demon hovering in the sky let out a wide yawn. From its maw poured a thick miasma that spread like a suffocating fog, gradually engulfing half the cliff in dense mist. Slowly, grotesque creatures began to take shape—oozing into existence as they dripped from the clouds and emerged from the ground like a merciless plague, each one more menacing than the last. Sensing the threat, Amon narrowed his eyes and raised his blade, preparing for the onslaught.
"Abomination… It's creating demons."
"Fortunately, it's not attacking outright… It wants to whittle down the area with numbers."
Yue answered with vigour as the mana within her body churned. Seven rings erupted into the skies as her ethereal self became downright illusory. Almost instantly, a legion of spiritual soldiers appeared at her footsteps, filling the wide cliff in a structured formation.
At the same time, she twisted her fingers and allowed every ounce of her mana to break free. Monarch-tier Spirits descended en masse, creating a pressure that would make most magicians suffocate in horror.

With a snap of her fingers, the spirits all attacked in unison. The monstrosities that Abomination created were no match for the Spirit Empress's onslaught, and they were slaughtered by the hundreds.

"Aim for the vessel!" Yue explained as she orchestrated her spirits like a general on the battlefield. "As long as we can sever the connection to our dimension, we can drive Abomination out."
Amon glanced at the hideous monster that had just as much flesh as it did skin. Not to mention, it was immune to physical and magical damage with an absurd regeneration rate. Immortal was a kind way to describe it.
"I'll just have to try."
