The Scarlet Old God sensed the eerie nature of this clock. Though it was just a fragment of a forbidden power, it carried a faint threat.
Just as it prepared to kill this insolent ant, the clock trembled. A wave of Twilight Light spread out, turning the world—previously illuminated by the scarlet light of a flesh sun—into a radiant golden world!
Instantly, the scarlet hue was tinged with twilight, transforming the Old God into a Golden Statue, moving sluggishly, unable even to reverse time.
As the Clock Eye leveled up, its skill effects were enhanced.
The sun and moon rotated, burning a vast amount of blood energy as fuel. Chu Yi moved like electricity, the Divine Hand trailing a luminous streak through the frozen time. Under the Dragon Soul effect, it transformed into a White Dragon—a being of pure annihilation—that bared its fangs and brandished its claws as it pierced deep into half of the Scarlet Old God’s cranium.
Inserting it was like piercing soft tofu; there was no resistance. The Divine Hand feasted on the rich will of the Evil God, devouring it heartily.

The golden world shattered, and the scarlet hues surged once more.
Ignoring the pain of being devoured and the fury of being deceived by an ant, the Scarlet Old God once again seized control of time. Time flowed backward, forcibly pushing Chu Yi away.
But the Divine Hand, having consumed the Old God’s essence, was not bound by time. As a result, the Scarlet Old God, half of its head already bearing a large, bitten-out chunk, saw its once-rich, deep scarlet hue dim even further.

Chu Yi raised a hand, establishing new rules, and the thorns originating from the Scarlet Old God ground to a halt.

Seizing control of the thorns from the Scarlet Old God, Chu Yi smirked. With a wave of his hand, the thorns transformed into several frenzied shadow dragons, which lunged toward their former master with sharp claws and fangs.

This was one of the seven King’s Spears: the Blood Spear. Anyone pierced by it, whether living creature or inanimate object, would enter a state of continuous bleeding that could neither be erased nor counteracted. This was no longer a mere Treasure, but an embodiment of authority itself!

Once I seize the boy’s body, these two Pet Beasts will be of great use. The Scarlet Old God thought, momentarily ignoring them to focus single-mindedly on devouring the boy’s soul.
Chu Yi calmly observed the scene. Seeing the extraction progress reach 30%, he thought, I’ve found a solution.
Once the five seconds of invincibility passed, another Doomsday Clock was cast. Space-time froze, and all the gnashing, bloodthirsty maws were stilled. The vast Twilight Light filled the entire scarlet world, stabbing into the Scarlet Old God’s body like a sharp blade. Its initially slow-moving figure came to a complete standstill. Only its chest, densely covered with scarlet eyeballs, stared intently at him.
With them so close, Chu Yi thrust one hand through half of the Old God’s cranium, while with the other, he threw out the Soul-Calling Banner, activating the Soul Capturing Spell.

The Divine Hand glowed white, like a hazy mist, engulfing the Scarlet Old God. A distinct rustling sound emerged from within, spine-chilling and growing louder! Evil Ancient Ones and Ancient Evil Gods were the finest sustenance for the Divine Hand. With the activation of the Soul Capturing Spell, a portion of the deep scarlet essence was dragged out, making it easier for the Divine Hand to consume.
Oh yes, this thing too.
Chu Yi eyed the Iron Spear in the Scarlet Old God’s hand. He immediately snatched it, casually delivering a hard slap across its face. Through the Evolutionary Almanac’s omniscience, Chu Yi learned that this was a King’s Spear. Collecting all seven would open a door, summoning the great King of Deep Red.

The twilight shattered. The Scarlet Old God exploded into a burst of light, evading the Divine Hand’s devouring grasp and returning to the flesh sun. It was both furious and shocked beyond measure. The Blood Spear and it were symbiotically linked, one of the seven keys to summon its main body. A single thought should have returned the spear to its hand. Yet, this opponent had used some unknown means to sever its connection to the Blood Spear!
Originally, it had intended to occupy its opponent’s Life Chart. Now, however, the Scarlet Old God’s mind was consumed by a single, overwhelming impulse: to kill him.
