The Editor Is An Extra Chapter 69

In a large grand hall, with no observable ceiling, eleven individuals sat around a high table, each sitting far from each other. Just their presence alone, was more than enough to render those of a lower rank powerless, or even outright crush them. It was a given, after all, they were all Alpha ranked beings. These eleven, were eleven out of the twelve seat holders of the Grand Templar. The Grand Templar was the name of the alliance formed by the four races to resist the Darkwalkers nearly a millennia ago, and afterwards, the heretics they left in their wake. Suddenly, with no trace whatsoever, a blue haired man appeared on the last seat. But none of the others were fazed. "Tardy as ever, eh Maximus?’ A man with a two black horns adorning his head in a crown chuckled. "Shut your mouth Regulus, before I shut it for you." Maximus said, his dark eyes gleaming with intent. "Ohohoho, I’d like to see you try. It’s been a long time since I’ve stretched this bones of mine." Regulus replied. "Would it kill you two to not be at each other’s throat everytime you meet?" A mature woman with silver- blonde hair and pointy ears reprimanded. She was Ellaria Worldcrest, the Elven Empress. Maximus, the blue haired man was the whetstone emperor, while Regulus the one who spoke first, was the Demon empire’s duke, and also the younger brother of the Demon emperor who sat a distance from him. Out of the twelve seats of the Grand Templar, the humans acquired six of them. Four were occupied by the four emperors of the human domain. One was occupied by the chancellor of the Astral Mystic Institute, and the last was occupied by the chairwoman of the Aetherials association. Unlike depicted in most fantasies, Humans in Nahaar were actually strong, arguably the strongest race out of the four races inhabiting the world. The rest of the six seats were split evenly between the other three races. The Demons had the Demon emperor, and his younger brother, the Duke. The Elves had Eleven Empress and her husband, the prince consort. While the Merfolk had their empress, and one of her daughters. "What have you called this meeting for Rhudeus?" A red haired man, Sevas Necron, turned to the Demon emperor. This got all their attention, making almost all of them to turn towards the stoic dark haired man whose head was adorned with a crown of black horns, and then an actual blood red crown on his head. "It has come to my attention that some people are pushing boundaries." The Demon emperor said, his eyes glaring hatefully at a jet black haired whose eyes were closed. The man had a dignified aura, and looked like someone who had just entered his early thirties, even though those who knew him knew he was well over seventy years old. He had a dark crown, adorned with blue jewels, sitting on his head, and his robes were equally black. "If you have anything to say to me Rhudeus," the man opened his eyes. "Stop beating around the bush." He said calmly. That was all the demons needed to hear. "We will not take lightly to you trying to step into our territory, Amon." Regulus answered in place of his brother. "Pray tell, how did the waters become your territory Rhudeus?" A mad glint passed through Amon’s grey eyes as his aura took a sinister turn. He completely ignored Regulus, and turned to Rhudeus. Regulus inwardly snickered. This was the Amon they knew. The former calm expression he was showing was just a facade. He wouldn’t be known as ’The mad Emperor’ among them if it wasn’t. "You’re trying to build some fortress on my part of the water border." Rhudeus answered. "Oh am I?" Amon nodded in faux contemplation. "That does sound like me." he muttered. "So I just got called here because of another one of your border wars?" Selene, the Merfolk empress sighed exasperatedly. "Some of us have better things to do." "You’re one to talk Selene." Sevas, the Necron emperor turned to her. "What about how your people are becoming increasingly hostile to mine?" "Watch the way you talk to my mother, Sevas." The other merlady on the seat snapped at Sevas. The room soon devolved into a cacophony of sounds and accusations. Thankfully, it was built to withstand Alpha level beings, else their raised voices and tumultuous auras alone, would have been enough to flatten the place a million times over. Even though, it was just enough to withstand them not accidentally breaking anything. Any sudden spike of aura from even one of them, and the room would collapse. Once one reached Alpha rank, it was like they were on a completely other level of existence. They’ve surpassed their mortal limits, but weren’t quite immortals. Demi– immortals would be putting it aptly. Even though, while these individuals weren’t enemies, that didn’t mean they were friends either. After all, only an Alpha ranked being can kill another Alpha ranked being. The seat holders of the Grand Templar were more like friends with benefits, allied against the Darkwalkers at first, then against the heretics, who to their knowledge have significantly weakened. But they still had their own differences, especially humans, who still had conflicts between themselves. "Might I suggest you all calm down." A noticeably older gentleman projected his voice, causing the hall to terribly quake in protest. This was the chancellor of the Astral mystic Institute. He was certainly older than everyone here, after all, he had been holding his seat for over three centuries. All the other humans currently on this table, had at some point been through his institute, so he garnered some respect, no matter now little. "We’re not scared of you Amon." Regulus said at last. While humans were undeniably the strongest race, the Demon Emperor was undeniably the strongest individual. He was an Alpha+ ranked aetherial. The only one currently alive in Nahaar. The rest, like Amon– the Darkfell emperor, Sevas– the Necron emperor, Selene, the Merfolk empress, Ellaria– the Elven Empress, and Lucas Neville– the chancellor of the Astral Mystic Institute, were all at the Alpha neutral rank. As for the rest, like the daughter of the Merfolk empress, Maximus– the Whetstone emperor, Fenrir– the Ashton emperor, Alexa– the chairwoman of the Aetherials association, the prince consort of the Elven Empress, and Regulus, they were all Alpha- ranked aetherials. "Instead of bickering like mere children, I think we should address the most optimal issues like the increasing number of attacks the heretics have executed in most recent times." Lucas, the older gentleman suggested. "From what I’ve heard, it’s not only in the human Domain, but also in other continents." the old man continued. "That is astute, chancellor." The only female human on the table turned to the old man. "Recently, It has come to my attention that some of my association’s trade goods have been highjacked by none other than the heretics." "Are you sure it’s not just your fellow humans doing that?" The other Merfolk on the seat snickered. "Enough, Celeste, don’t provoke another argument." The Merfolk empress intervened. "Fine, mother." Celeste sighed. "But you never know with these humans, they’re snakes in bipedal form." But it seemed Alexa wasn’t going to let it go. "Says the one who got smitten by a human, enough to bear him a child." she retorted. The hall went silent at that. Celeste’s face changed. The entire room began to shake, but none of the others looked faze. "Enough Celeste, don’t destroy the hall." Selene chided, before the hall gradually stopped shaking. Everyone knew about it. It wasn’t that hybrids weren’t a regular case, interracial marriages do happen, and hybrids were born. There was just one problem with that. Said hybrids were unstable, and don’t even live long enough to see their awakening. And the people in power just couldn’t be bothered to fix it, because if hybrids were being born, the concept of the difference in race would very quickly go blurry. Over a millennia, or even a few centuries, there would be no Humans, Elves, Demons, and Merfolk. Instead there would be an entirely new race. So, no one with the power to try and fix that, ever entertained the thought of fixing it. "Ahem!" Lucas coughed awkwardly to diffuse the tension. "As I was saying, the heretics...." ---------------- While the seats of the Grand Templar were in the middle of a discussion/argument, the briefing hall of class 1–Alpha was having a totally different drama. And it was all because of the youth that stormed inside the hall. "I demand to be included in this council!" ~A few moments earlier~ Calum was livid. He was the scion of the illustrious House Forge, but that red haired bitch hadn’t chosen him as part of her elites, and instead, left him with the dregs. The other ranks like strategist, or captain, he could argue she chose correctly. But for the vice commander, she actually chose some idiot who’s only good point was being born a prince. He, Calum was supposed to be the Captain, or even the Vice commander. But when she didn’t chose him, he thought, surely he must be in the elites. But she hadn’t chosen him either. And then there was that blue haired bitch, assigning him to guard the flag like he was some sort of thug. So he stormed into the hall. "I demand to be included in this council!" ************ POWERSTONES GOAL!!! 200→ 1 extra Chapter on next release. 500→ 2 extra Chapter on next release.
