It was time for her to live and have a new life, without her family and to start her own. When she got to the airport she gave them her ticket and boarded the plane to New York.
Later in the middle of the night around twelve, she landed safely in New York, then went to carry her suitcases and took a cab to one of her friend's houses, Marilyn's house. When she got there she stood in front of the gate and threw her phone on the floor smashing it, she picked up the phone pieces throwing them in her bag, because later on, she would put them in water and then burn her passport.
Marilyn was the only true friend and best friend Marcella ever had. They meet during college when Marcella was just a freshman and so was she. They were roommates so they just hit off and since then they had been best friends
She needed a new life, especially from all the drama she went through and the heartbreak. As she thought of what she went through with James otherwise known as Nikolai she started to tear up. She shook her head then wiped her eyes as said to herself.
"No more reminiscing about the past"
She pressed the doorbell and waited for her friend to respond.
"Who is it"
"Hey Marilyn it is me, Marcella"
"Aaaaaaaaaaaa, oh my gosh you are finally here I am on my way down hold on.
Marcella waited for her friend to come downstairs to the gate to unlock it. After Marilyn opened the gate and she hugged her.
"Oh my gosh, I missed you so much" Marilyn did and hugged the life out of her.
"Me too" Marcella wheezed out.
"Come on let's go inside," Marilyn said and carried one of her suitcases while she carried the other one and followed her inside.
When they got inside Marilyn took her straight to the guest room and said.
"I am sure you are jet-lagged, why don't you settle down, take a shower wear something comfy, then I will bring you some food and then you should have some rest"
"You just read my mind thank you so much," Marcella said and hugged her.
Marilyn left the room to prepare food for her and then she removed her clothes then dumped it into the hamper and entered the shower when Marcella finally decided to come out of the shower she saw her food on the bedside table and saw Marilyn arranging her clothes in the closet.
"Thank you so much, Marilyn, I don't know what I would do without you"
Marcella said and took the food to eat because she was starving to the extent she was literally swallowing the chicken salad.
"It is okay, and slow down you will make yourself sick" Marilyn scolded.
After she had finished eating she went to put on her nightie and went to bed.
"I will see you tomorrow, good night"
"Good night Marilyn and thank you"
"Oh stop saying that,what her best friends for" Marilyn said and left.
The next day Marcella woke up around ten in the morning and took a shower to get ready for today, when she finished everything she went downstairs to the living room and saw Marilyn sitting on the couch.
"Hey"
"Hey, are you feeling better today?"
"Yeah" Marcella nodded.
"Are you hungry, I made some pancakes just some minutes ago"
"Yes, sure"
Marcella went to the kitchen and Marilyn followed her.
"So how as life been?" Marilyn asked and she sighed.
Marcella explained everything that happened to her including the minus the mafia and the baby.
"That fucker, just because he hated your father doesn't mean he has the right to use you like that, when I see him my foot is gonna be way up to his ass" Marilyn finished breathing heavily because she was angry.
"I have accepted it has happened, which is why I always to start anew"
Marcella said and showed some pancakes and fruits into her mouth.
"We need some champagne to celebrate your new beginning," Marilyn said and stood up to get it but Marcella stopped her and said.
"No don't bother, I...I...I am pregnant"
Marilyn stared at her as if she had grown two heads for two minutes to be exact and said.
"What! Does he know?"
"No and I don't plan to tell him don't want my baby around that kind of man, I almost Died because of him," Marcella said and robbed onto her palms.
"No Marcella don't cry, it is okay. You are a strong woman and I know you will surpass this" Marilyn said and rubbed her back soothingly.
"I just feel so stupid, I put my family in danger because I was just so foolish, I couldn't even look my family in the face," Marcella said as she cried.
"It is okay it is not your fault and I am so glad you came here, you could start anew and make that fashion line you always talked about"
"I don't even know anymore" Marcella sniffed.
"Shhhh, don't cry again just eat and we will talk about it, and everything will be fine okay.
Marcella said and nodded.
