I looked at the two before me. Excitement thrilling in my body as we all sat in the living room.
My tongue lolled out of my mouth as a yawned and Daimen reached down to ruffle my ears, which I huffed at but I enjoyed it all the same.
"Rocky. Ya feeling alright?" He asked and I snorted wondering why he spoke to me like I could communicate back to him yet I still entertained him grumbling, "I'm tired but I'm more than alright."
Beside him River laughed and even though I couldn't understand what was so funny, I was happy.
I would forever be happy as long as I could see them everyday.
Even though I would always be a little envious that I could not speak to my family I would not change it for the world; especially now that we would be expecting another addition to our small pack. Just the thought made my tail wag and I leapt to my paws and onto the couch between the two.
Daimen shouted something along with my name while River chuckled and hugged me to her, running her fingers along my flank and I grumbled and nuzzled her stomach.
I couldn't help but wonder it if would be a male or female? Maybe multiple? A whole litter? No... I wasn't too sure that humans had litters.
But no matter what, I would watch over the little one till my dying breath.
Just the thought of someone hurting this new pack member made me growl. And I could taste the flesh of the last halfwit to raise a hand at my pack burning in my mouth.
Humans could be very stupid.
After all—
It had took everything to get these two boneheads together; and I'd almost failed.
I looked at the two and gave a shake before licking at their faces, which they declined with playful shoves.
You should know by now—I was the main character.
Without me, where do you think everyone would be?
