In the private room, the server’s attitude changed instantly upon seeing her unable to pay.
"Miss, are you trying to dine and dash?"
Daisy Stone shook her head in denial, "No, my friend will be back soon to help pay!"
Saying this, she was about to go find Samuel Grant and Clara Bennett.
The server blocked her way, letting out a light snort, "I’ve seen many people try to dine and dash, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it here at Chga. I’m telling you, if you don’t settle the bill today, no one leaves!"
Hearing this, everyone panicked.
"Daisy Stone, if you didn’t have money, why did you invite us to Chga for a meal?"
"We thought you were really wealthy, turns out you were just pretending!"
"You said you’d treat, don’t expect us to foot the bill."
Daisy was both angry and embarrassed; those who had just praised her changed faces swiftly.
Half an hour later, she received some money, endured the pain, and settled the bill.

Daisy Stone walked out of the restaurant and saw Clara Bennett and Samuel Grant waiting at the door.
They must have heard her being humiliated by the server in the private room.

"I’m teaching you that adults must take responsibility for their words and actions. Working at the Foster family requires caution, and you need to be mindful of your words and deeds." Clara, holding her arm, smiled innocently, "You’re not mad at me, are you?"
Could it possibly be that this was all just a joke by Clara?
Regardless, now wasn’t the time to fall out with her.
Someday, she would take everything away from Clara, crushing her underfoot like a worthless bug.
"Of course, we’re good friends. I know Clara didn’t do it on purpose, but..."
She glanced at the handprint on Samuel’s face, "It shouldn’t have been so harsh, right?"
She knew Samuel especially valued his face.
This action was almost like costing him all his dignity.
Clara smiled carelessly, a trace of apology on her face, "It’s nothing, letting Samuel suffer a little is to teach you a lesson, no big deal. Right, Samuel? You wouldn’t want to see Daisy entering the Foster family and ending up putting you down in front of your uncle, would you?"
Samuel nodded, face gloomy, "You must not betray Clara’s kindness towards you."
Clara’s lips curved slightly as she spotted a tall figure approaching in the distance, her gaze shifting subtly.
The man, dressed in a custom suit, was neat and sharp, his features well-defined, exuding authority and charm.
Too much of a leader due to his long-time presence in the business world, he carried an air of authority and noble demeanor.
William Foster looked up, meeting her gaze, his expression a bit inscrutable.
He walked with steady steps, approaching.
"Uncle?" Samuel paused, nervously said, "I was just about to head back with Clara."
William glanced at him lightly, his tone flat, "If there’s nothing more, return sooner and don’t wander aimlessly."
Samuel responded dutifully.
Daisy hurried forward, eyes full of expectation, "Mr. Foster, hello! Do you still remember me?"
"I remember, last time Samuel brought you to meet me, asking me to help find you a job." William said nonchalantly, "Clara, Samuel does care about his friend."
William’s voice was deep, and when he said "Clara," it sounded particularly tender.
Daisy’s face changed, she hurriedly explained.
"Mr. Foster, Samuel was only so enthusiastic because of Clara..."
Samuel nodded in agreement, "Yes, Uncle, please don’t misunderstand, affecting my relationship with Clara."
"Why are you both so anxious to explain? I didn’t say anything, did I?" William lit a cigarette, his gaze resting on Clara, a slight smile in his eyes, "How could someone as beautiful and sensible as Clara easily misunderstand?"
She somehow felt he said that on purpose.
Samuel’s gaze moved over them, sensing a peculiar difference in the way his uncle looked at Clara. Specifics eluded him.
As for Daisy, it was audacious enough for her to set her sights on his uncle!
"Uncle, if there’s nothing else, we’ll leave first."
Samuel tried to hold Clara, but she avoided his hand, moving closer to William.
Clara glanced at Samuel, who looked puzzled, and said calmly, "I have unfinished business, you take Mia back first."
Samuel seemed worried, "Should I stay with you?"
He felt Clara’s attitude towards him had subtly changed, like she was gradually slipping from his grasp.
"No need, I’ll call you if anything comes up."
Samuel frowned, staring at her as if trying to see through her thoughts.
But Clara was so calm that nothing seemed amiss.
Watching their figures recede, Clara put away her calm gaze, turning back to face William’s eyes full of interest, showing a hint of confusion.
"Mr. Foster, why are you looking at me?"
William wrapped his arm around her slender waist, speaking in a deep, magnetic voice, "Clara, have you forgotten our relationship? Isn’t calling me ’Mr. Foster’ a bit distant?"
Her heartbeat lost its rhythm.
Being this close, she could even smell the faint woody scent on him.
"I haven’t forgotten, Mr. Foster. It’s just that I still need time to get used to this title."
William’s eyes narrowed slightly, the interest within them growing stronger, "Seems you’ve discovered the story between my good nephew and your good friend."
The rumor outside was that Clara loved Samuel endlessly.
But in reality, it wasn’t so exaggerated.
"Yes!" Clara admitted openly, surprised, "How did you know?"
Through memories of her past life, she learned about Samuel and Daisy’s relationship.

William smiled mysteriously, instead of answering directly, he asked a question in return, "How do you plan to deal with them?"
"I want him to regret it for life, to have nothing left!"
Clara received a call from Daisy Stone, it was afternoon by then.
Seeing the call, Clara immediately understood the situation.
Samuel was truly despicable, getting Daisy, who was already several months pregnant, involved in such disgraceful events was utterly shameless.
But one must admit, Samuel’s trick was indeed ruthless.
