"I think that's best for both of us, don't you agree?" asked Mars. "You and I will never have any relationship after my children are born. You're free to go and you can have Wintermere."

"I've ordered Roshan to prepare a nice chamber for you. You can move there after breakfast," said Mars continued his words. "After that, we will only see each other to reproduce .. "Nothing," Emmelyn replied in a low voice. "I have got no more questions..."
"Okay." Mars walked over to the door and opened it. Before he stepped outside, the man turned and looked at Emmelyn. "From now on, if you need anything, you can pass it on to Roshan."
Emmelyn nodded silently. She just stared at Mars, who turned around and went back to the courtyard and closed the door behind him.
Emmelyn didn't realize that she was still standing there, staring at the man's back, until he disappeared behind the door.
What do I do? What if this scummy prince really fell in love with me? Emmelyn thought nervously.
She was now worried that Mars would fall in love with her and act possessive and do everything he could to tie her down in Draec. Ahh .. it would be really bad for her.
The girl massaged her forehead and rolled her eyes. "Ah .. that's right. Then it's better if we avoid each other."
With that in mind, Emmelyn finally gave up on going up to the third floor and walked towards the dining room. There Roshan greeted her with delicious dishes from the castle's cooks.
"Roshan, the prince said earlier that he told you to prepare a chamber for me?" asked the girl, stirring the tea. "Is that true?"
"That's right, Your Highness," said Roshan. "After you have finished with breakfast, I will take you there."
"Hmm .. alright."
Emmelyn enjoyed her breakfast with her mind busy thinking about what Mars said earlier. Somehow she couldn't forget the sad tone in the man's voice.
During this time, she always considered Mars Strongmoor the same as his reputation out there, the devil incarnate himself.
His political opponents and the rulers of the colonies he defeated on the battlefield described him as a cruel monster. Before she came to Draec, Emmelyn also pictured Mars as the devil.
Even after she disguised herself as a servant in this castle to roam freely around the prince to kill him, Emmelyn still thought Mars was a cruel and terrifying man.
That impression had only recently changed after the failed assassination attempt.
