Chapter 25: Her Perfect Cooking Skills!

Li An’an kept her children company for two days before restarting work.
However, it had been raining constantly for the past few days. She could only stay in the house and feel depressed.
Chu Yichen came downstairs. His stomach was not feeling well today, so he did not go to work.
“Li An’an, go cook some porridge for Young Master. His stomach is acting up again.”
Butler Chu gave the order. Before she was retained as a maid here, she had aced the cooking test. Therefore, since Auntie Zhang was not around today, she would have to do the cooking.

Chu Yichen walked down, looking pale and sullen because he was not feeling well.

“Who cooked this?” he asked.

Li An’an didn’t dare to look at Chu Yichen. He knew that Auntie Zhang didn’t cook the porridge the moment he ate it. No wonder he was so picky.
Chu Yichen suddenly asked.
“Did you go to the mall two days ago?”
“No, I was sick and resting at home.”
Chu Yichen sneered. He took a white napkin and wiped the corner of his mouth. “There’s a price to pay for lying to me. Think carefully before you speak!”
Li An’an was terrified, but for the sake of her three children, she would never admit it.
Chu Yichen couldn’t have seen the children, could he? No, it couldn’t be that coincidental, and he wouldn’t be so calm if he did! He was trying to get information out of her.
“I really didn’t. I was sick. Don’t tell me you saw someone else and thought of me? I didn’t know you cared so much about me. Thank you for your concern. I’m very touched.” Li An’an looked deeply moved.
Chu Yichen pursed his lips and stood up from the dining chair.
“Butler Chu, her punishment is to mop all the corridors on the second floor.”
“And from tomorrow, she’ll make a bowl of porridge every day.”
With that, Chu Yichen walked upstairs. He would never admit this, but that latter part was the real punishment he had intended!
Li An’an complained silently, “Just say so if you wanted to eat porridge! You must be nuts if you think that excuse is convincing!”
Butler Chu walked to Li An’an’s side.
“Li An’an, the hospital keeps records. As long as you’ve been there, it can be verified. Do you remember Bai Feifei?”
“What happened to her?”

“Li An’an, Auntie Zhang broke her leg when she was out. She needs to recuperate for two months. From now on, the kitchen will be handed over to you. You can ask Auntie Zhang about Young Master’s preferences!”
