Pacing around the room, Patricia fumed in annoyance. She was getting countless questions and messages regarding Valerie's show up at her wedding party.
Claudia shook her head and sighed. “Patricia, will you stop pacing around? The way you keep walking up and down is starting to make me feel dizzy.”
“Mom, I can't take it. You know very well the reason I invited Valerie to my wedding party, right? I just wanted to make a fool out of her, but I ended up making her famous. You were the one who gave me this idea in the first place.” Patricia cried out.
Upon hearing that, Claudia turned to Patricia with her eyebrows knitted. “I also thought you would end up being humiliated. No one knew it would turn out like this. You won't believe how many of my wealthy friends wanted that stupid girl for their sons.”
With that, Patricia clenched her fist furiously. “That's not even the issue, Mom. Did you see her boyfriend? I can't believe that Valerie would have such a capable boyfriend.”
Claudia fumed with anger at the thought of the kind of man Valerie showed up with at the party. She never would have thought that she's actually the girlfriend of the President of Davison's empire. She was still marveled.
“That's surprising. Who would have thought Valerie actually had such a boyfriend? He's a perfect man” Claudia mumbled.
Patricia freaked out. “He's in no way better than my husband, Justin. Have you forgotten what you said about Justin some time ago? You also told me that he's every woman's dream man, right? Why are you suddenly speaking so highly of that President of Davison's empire?”
Without hesitation, Claudia scoffed. “You're the only one who hasn't heard of the almighty Davison's family. Trust me, you'll be green with envy if you really know how wealthy they are”.
The statement came like a blow to Patricia. She was dumbfounded, and her jaw dropped. She knew her mother would never bluff about issues like this. Valerie had always gotten the best of everything since they were kids. Just when she took one of the things her sister cherishes so much, she got something that was even better. She thought.
“Why does Valerie always get the best of everything in life? Why does she keep coming back and taking everything from me?”
Claudia, on the other hand, on seeing how sad her daughter looked, hugged her tight and patted her back. “Cheer up, Pat. You're still on the safe side of it all. You've finally gotten Justin to yourself. Isn't that what you've always dreamt of?”
Patricia forced a smile at her, and sighed. “Now, all I want is to get that stumbling block of a stepsister out of my life for good”
“Don't you also want to get the President of Davison's empire to yourself? You could push Justin back to her, and get the desirable CEO” Claudia smirked.
Patricia scoffed. “Mom?” She rolled her eyes in displeasure.
“What? You're my only daughter, Patricia. I want every good thing in life for you. There's no way I'm letting my stepdaughter Valerie take that handsome, good-looking CEO of such an extraordinary company” Claudia bit her lower lip.
Upon hearing that, Patricia puckered her eyebrows, trying to wrap her head around what her mother meant. She was obviously pregnant with Justin's child, and she's legally married to him. What then was her mother talking about when she said she'll help her get the CEO, who is Valerie's boyfriend? After a few seconds of silence, Patricia managed to speak up. “I don't understand you, Mom. How do you expect me to marry someone else when I'm heavily pregnant with Justin?”
Claudia laughed heartily, and paused. “It's just a baby, right? You can have the child for him, and annul your marriage”.
“Mommy?” Patricia gushed in shock.
Claudia patted her back, and whispered. “You should have everything best. You're my daughter, and there's no way I'll let that stupid Valerie win over you.”
Meanwhile, Valerie was still staring directly into President Ethan's eyes. She was obviously drooling as he held her in his firm arms. Even in the suffocating attire, she could help but gulp in attraction.
Furthermore, she was smacked out of her thoughts when she handed her butt on the hard ground. Ethan, who got tired of her staring at him, let go of her, and she fell on the ground, groaning in pain.
Little Audrey gasped, and rushed to help her poor Miss old-fashioned up. “Daddy, why did you drop her?”
Turning his gaze away, and putting on his glasses, Ethan coldly replied. “Bringing your clumsy nanny wasn't a good idea, baby”
“Oh, yes it wasn't” Valerie didn't even realize when she screamed out.
President Ethan and Audrey glanced at her. She gulped nervously, and thought.
“Valerie! Why do you keep getting into trouble by the day?”
“Miss old-fashioned, do you really not want to go with us?” Audrey pouted her mouth, and tears circulated in her eyes.
Valerie bit her lip, and hugged her tight. She just couldn't bear to see Audrey cry, and that seems to be her weak point. The little girl wouldn't stop blackmailing her with that.
A loud but annoying voice cut into the conversation. “There's no reason for her to come anyway. Servants should be treated as servants”.
Everyone turned their gazes, and to their surprise, it was no apart from the stunning witch, Rebecca.
Audrey glared at her before turning to her Dad, who was equally astonished. “Daddy, did you invite her to the boat ride?”
“What are… what are you doing here, Rebecca?” Ethan stuttered.
Rebecca laughed hysterically as she brought, out of the pack of cigarettes she was holding, a stick of it. Placing the cigarette in between her lips, she lit the cigarette. Smoke emanated from her nostrils and mouth as she blew the smoke on Ethan's face.
Rebecca chuckled. “I don't need to be invited. Let's all have fun”.
“No way!” Audrey cried out, glancing at her father.
