The gate flung open, and a sparkling sports car drove into the magnificent mansion of the Davison's.
Immediately the car halted in the parking lot, the door was opened and Rebecca got down from the car.
She blew the gum she was chewing noisily as she approached the entrance. The guards standing at the entrance greeted her in chorus. “Good day, ma'am.”
Ignoring the greetings, she turned to one of them. “Get my luggage from the car trunk immediately.”
“Yes, ma'am.”
She walked into the house. Her eyes caught Valerie's figure seated in the sitting room and watching television. She fluttered her lashes in disgust.
“What's that b*tch doing here? I thought Ethan would have annulled their freaking marriage.”
Walking to the sitting room, she picked up the remote control and turned the television off, before turning her gaze to Valerie. “Why are you still here, you thwart?”
“Rebecca, why did you turn off the television?” Valerie asked curiously.
Rebecca scoffed. “I see you've got guts, right? A loose woman like you should be in a brothel, not a mansion.”
“You are the one I should be asking you. What are you doing in my house, Rebecca? You're my husband's ex fiancée, and you're not welcomed here.” Valerie spoke with confidence.
Freaking out, Rebecca glared at her. “Are you talking to me like that? How dare you?”
“Take a look at this. That's a diamond ring, and this indicates that I am married to President Ethan Davison. You're not welcome in my house, and I won't let you talk down on me just because of a mere video that means absolutely nothing.”
Rebecca couldn't believe her eyes. She never thought Valerie could talk back to her, and she wondered what gave her the guts to. Shouldn't she be in her shell, crying her eyes out? “You, shameless prostitute, you dare speak to me in that manner?”
Rebecca raised her hand to slap Valerie, but she caught her hand in the air and said. “Do not even dare.”
Rebecca's jaw dropped in shock. How did Valerie become so outspoken after suffering a humiliation?

“Oh my gosh, Mom! This is the best decision that we've ever taken. It is all over the news that President Ethan's new wife is actually a whore.” Patricia laughed in fulfillment.
Mrs. Claudia smirked. “I've always told you to trust my judgment. Sincerely, the moment I found out that his ex fiancée still likes and wants him for himself, I thought that out as the easiest way to unleash and get our plans executed.”
They clinked their glasses together. Valerie felt so excited to know that her opponent would be hiding her face in shame. “I wonder how she's coping at Davison's villa, huh. Who knows if the President is planning to divorce her soon?”
“What are you talking about, Patricia? What kind of man would want to be with a harlot? Didn't you see the look on the faces of the people who came to the wedding? I'm sure everyone must be criticizing her.” Claudia burst into laughter.
They shared a laugh, Patricia continued. “I'm worried, Mom.”
“Worried? Don't tell me you're still thinking about that stupid husband of yours? You know, before you even got married to that man I told you that I never liked him for you, but you insisted.” Claudia rolled her eyes.
Patricia scoffed. “That's not the issue. Ever since this incident happened, father has been so down. Are you sure he's going to survive this?”
“Who cares? All I care about is the humiliation of that freaking stepdaughter of mine. Even if your father dies, I'll still get the upper hand because I have access to every single document that will help us acquire his wealth. That Valerie, she won't get a dime from it.” Claudia lowered her voice to speak.
Shocked, Patricia almost screamed, but had to clasp her palm over her mouth to prevent herself from making any sound. “Mom, are you saying that you want my father dead?”
“What? Why are you sounding like he's your beloved father? Has he ever treated you with love, the way you treat Valerie?” Claudia eyed her.
Grumbling, Patricia replied. “I know you cannot measure the love he has for Valerie with the one he has for me, but he has been a good father to me for the past years. Do you expect me to agree with you in killing my father?”
“Shut your mouth. Seems you've forgotten so soon who has been by your side all these years. You actually think that man is your father?” Claudia snorted.
Widening her eyes, confused, Patricia gulped hard before speaking. “What the… what the hell are you talking about, Mom?”
“What I'm saying is that he is not your biological father.” Claudia mumbled, and a gasp escaped Patricia's mouth.
Breathing hard, she tried to understand exactly what her mother was saying. “Are you kidding me, Mom? Oh, this has got to be a joke, right?”
“It's no joke, and no one knows about it, not even Mr. Watson.” Claudia continued.
Tears circulated in her eyes, but she managed to blink them back. “If Mr. Watson is not my biological, then who is? Why am I here with him instead of my father?”
“Are you daft? Your father is a nobody. Actually, it was just a fling and I got pregnant with you. At that time, I happened to have a nightstand with Mr. Watson's. So, when I found out that I was pregnant with that man, I decided to pin it on the man you call father now.” Claudia replied.
Patricia broke down. “All these years, I've always thought that I was a true 'Watson'. How do I explain that I was actually a mistake? How could you hide something like this away from me, Mom?”
“Do you expect me to tell you when you are only going to behave like this? You ought to behave yourself. Once we take down Mr. Watson, you and I can have his wealth all to ourselves.” Claudia snapped.
“Is that so, Claudia?”
A voice came from the entrance, Claudia and Patricia quickly turned their gazes to the door. It was Mr. Watson.
