After we finished checking the appliances, they were still plugged in and closed all the windows and doors. Manang told me that I could finally rest. But when I went up to the second floor, I glanced at the stairs leading to the third floor---the master's bedroom. Rozzean.
"He still hasn't come down to eat," I said to myself.
I took a deep breath and went to my room. Manang's room was far from mine, downstairs, so I couldn't chat with her now, and I would ask the things I wanted to know about this house tomorrow.
I became curious about what she said, that perhaps sadness might be the reason why Rozzean has so many plants here. Like, it's his therapy.
"Why would he be sad?" I thought. In reality, this house is huge and beautiful. It's a dream house for many, and he has so much money. He can buy whatever he wants. What could be the reason for him to be sad?
"Wait, why am I even thinking about this?"
I stood up and headed to the bathroom in my room, but before that, I made sure to lock the door to my room.
"Ugh, it's so hot," I muttered as I removed my main uniform. Underneath the polo shirt, I was wearing long black sleeves.
I decided to take a quick shower. Today has been exhausting, to be honest. I'm overacting a bit, but I need to be on top of my game because Manang Selya is very observant. Rozzean might not uncover my secret, but it could be Manang who finds out.

I removed my fake bangs for a moment and washed my face. I glanced at my fake freckles. I used a waterproof brown ultra-defining eyebrow pencil for those. It seemed effective as I rubbed them, and they didn't come off easily.
Once I had removed all my clothes, I stepped under the shower. I let out a soft scream as I felt the cold water.
"Damn! It's so cold!"
I quickly turned on the heater. My body couldn't handle the cold.
"I wonder what will happen tomorrow? Manang said she would teach me how to clean the pool. I suddenly got excited, which means I'll get to see the pool here. But where could it be? I didn't see the pool earlier, even though I explored some parts of the house."
I grabbed the shampoo and applied it to my hair. After I finished showering, I faced the mirror again, still without any clothes, and struck a pose.
"Even though you're a glutton, Tangi, it's a good thing you don't gain weight and your body shape stays the same—"
I stopped talking when I heard a sound.
Was that a ring?
I put on my fake bangs and adjusted them slightly. As I left the room, I searched for the source of the ringing. It was a device inside a drawer. A cellphone?! Why is there a cellphone here?!
The screen displayed "master's bedroom." I furrowed my brow. I answered and put it to my ear.
I furrowed my brow again when I heard nothing.
"Hello?"
Still, no one responded.
"Hello?"
Still, no response! As I was about to end the call, I heard something.
"W-Water..."
I could hear Rozzean's raspy voice, very faintly. My eyes widened. I knew it! He's sick!
The way he cleared his throat and his coughing. It's possible that the reason he came home early today is because he's not feeling well!
"S-Sir Rozzean?"
"I n-need water, bring water to my room."
"Okay, sir! Hold on!"
I quickly ended the call and placed the cellphone on the bed. I was in such a hurry that I seemed to have put on my long green sleeve inside out. As for my pajamas, I just grabbed whatever I could find in my bag. I hadn't had a chance to organize my clothes in the drawer.
Once I was sure I looked presentable in the mirror, I headed to the kitchen. I hurriedly prepared some food. I reheated some tinola. Even though he only asked for water, it's still a good idea to bring him some food so he can eat and take his medicine.
"Juice... juice, oh—" Don't panic, Thaliana Tangi!
I returned the juice to the fridge. It's better if he drinks lukewarm water. I also searched for the medicine container in the drawers, and when I found it, I quickly grabbed some paracetamol. I placed the food and the medicine on a tray.
Once I was sure I didn't need anything else, I went up to the third floor. Ugh, it's so high!
"Sir?" I knocked, but there was no response. I lowered the tray and opened the door. It wasn't locked after all. I entered, picked up the tray again, and closed the door behind me. I glanced to my left. That's Rozzean's room.
I lowered the tray once more; it was quite heavy. I walked up to the door and knocked.
He didn't respond, so I turned the doorknob. I peeked inside and saw my boss was covered in blankets. Shivering.
It's so cold in his room! What is this, Antarctica?!
"Sir, I'm here," I said. I picked up the tray again and pushed the door open with my foot.
I looked around at Rozzean, who was still wrapped in a blanket. I placed the tray I was holding on the table inside his room. The first thing I did was grab the air conditioning remote and lower the temperature.
He'll freeze even more. It's so cold in his room.
"Sir, I've brought the water, and I also brought your food so you can eat. You have a fever, sir, right?"
He didn't say anything.
"I noticed it earlier. You clutched your stomach a few times, cleared your throat multiple times, and even coughed. Why didn't you tell me, sir, that you're not feeling well? You could have taken medicine earlier so it wouldn't have gotten worse..."
I took a step back as he lowered the blanket. Now I can see his head. I swallowed hard at the gaze he gave me.
He's really sick. It's written all over his face. But damn, he still looks good.
"S-sir?" I asked.
He closed his eyes for a moment. He really looks like he's in pain.
His face is pale, he looks so tired, and his eyelids are drooping. He looks so miserable! but still handsome.
"Water."
He spoke directly.
I immediately complied, got the water, and remembered the food. I approached him.
"Sir, you're sick, you need to eat. This tinola is still warm; you can sip the broth. There is also medicine here," I said.
"I wish, sir, you had told me that you're not feeling well. We could have acted sooner," I added.
He handed me the water. When he sat up and leaned against the headboard of the bed, I noticed he still didn't have any upper clothing on. Goodness gracious! He's going to freeze.
"Sir, you should have dressed. That's why you're so cold. The air conditioning was on high when I came in, and you still didn't have anything on top. Where is your drawer?" I asked.
He was staring at me again.
"Sir, where is your drawer? You need to get dressed. Do you want to die? I'm sure you don't want hypothermia, right?"
