Rafael sat in his office, his mind wasn't at peace, he just didn't know why but he got the feeling that things weren't right and that something was wrong but he couldn't pinpoint what it was, he got up from his seat and looked out through the window of his office, Florida was beautiful as always, everything going in the normal order but he was troubled, it might be because of what was happening with his woman and her sister, so far the heat on Nicole have subsided, not that much though, she was still getting lots of hates and he hated that he couldn't shield her from the backslash but his wife was strong and she has been coping well.
Every since the news came out everything has been up and down, first he had to deal with facing another public attention that he didn't want, then investors started pulling out of deals with him and then there was his wife who was the bigger victim, she couldn't even leave the house and he felt guilty, she had to endure the most, his dealing might have gone down but he was recovering well, on the first day the news broke out, he had lost lots of deal and the stocks had gone down for the first time in years, what even baffled him the most was, he hadn't even be worried for his loses, but he had been more concern and worried for his wife and unborn child, they were the ones that needed to be protected and it made him sad that he was doing a shitty job at protecting them, he knew Nicole was aware of what's being said about her, he couldn't be with her twenty-four, seven as he had wanted and he knew she checked online when he wasn't home, he wanted to take the phone away from her but he couldn't since that would be taking the link she had to her only friend away.
Nicole's parents hadn't been much help, they weren't even in the country right now, something about them having
"Hello, Caleb?"
"Hey, man, I just wanted to check up on you, are you doing fine?"
"Yes, I am trying to be,"
"I know right, your wife's sister is being the devil and it becoming more and more upsetting,"
"Why? Is there something new?"
Rafael asked getting up from his seat, he wasn't sure but the way Caleb sounded, it felt like Natalie did something new, she had been calm for almost three days now.
"Yes, she leaked your wife's gallery location, I thought you already knew, the whole place is jampacked with people and I don't think they have anything nice to say about her, and did you know your wife had a page with over seven million followers, I must say her works are good, I even follow her without knowing she is your wife,"
"I know about the page, it's what she does, and don't worry, she isn't at the gallery, so nothing much would happen, they will just get tired and go back to wherever they came out from,"
He said, he was glad Nicole agreed to stay home for a while, she was supposed to officially open the gallery this weekend but he told her to put it off.
"I am glad to know that but you might want to check up on her because some artist is claiming he stole some of her works and her sister came out to back the artist up, which was when she revealed the identity of the anonymous artist and her location,"
"What the fuck?"
Rafael asked getting up and picking up his car keys, he had told the driver to stay in case Nicole needed anything since she was more comfortable with him, he walked fast out of the office towards where he parked his car, this was too much, Natalie has gone too far, it was time to make her pay, he has been silent for too long which is why Natalie had the gust to do all she is doing, he won't be silent anymore, he thanked Caleb and hot into his car.
Rafael drove towards home all the while trying to reach his wife, but she wasn't taking her calls, he called the house and they said she left earlier with her driver, he called Grace who wasn't in town by the way but Nicole tells her things so he was sure she would know where his wife went, she picked up on the second ring.
"Hey, Grace did Nicole tell you where she was going? She isn't at the house,"
"Hi, Rafael, she didn't, the last time we spoke she had been angry soI am guessing if she isn't at home she might have gone to see her sister,"
Grace replied, he had thought of that but since he told her not to confront Natalie, he hadn't given it much thought, but it seem that might be it, he thanked Grace and ended the car, turning his car towards the direction of his in-law's mansion, his phone rang when he asks halfway there, at first, he didn't pick up since it was a number that wasn't registered in his phone, his phone started ringing again, it was his driver whom he had called too.
"What the fuck man? Where did you leave your phone? I have been trying to reach you, where did you take my wife to?"
Rafael barked out.
"Sir, I am sorry sir, the madam,"
His driver replied.
"What's going on? Where are you guys?"
He asked, he didn't like how the driver sounded.
"I took her to her parent's house, there is been an accident and she is at the hospital, we are at the hospital,"
He disclosed, Rafael brought the car to an abrupt stop, an accident?
"Accident? What happened?"
"I don't know much, I drove out after dropping her off at her family house, when I got back she was being taken in an ambulance and no one is talking to me.
