"I am telling you that you are the one Rafael met first, I am talking about the Jones party, I told you to go with me remember? I left early, well that was where Rafael and I supposedly met but I thought he come earlier but then I found out that it was you he met,"
"But I don't remember meeting him,"
"That's because you guys didn't talk and well when we met again, he already had his eyes on me and just approached me,"
"Oh, but we don't have to talk about that Natalie, it's all in the past,"
Nicole said, there was no use passing blame or bringing up the past, she just wanted them to be okay again.
"I know, I just, I am sorry Nicole, for everything, I was so blinded by jealousy, I came back home, I didn't want the life you had Nicole but everything was going so wrong for me, mom and dad blaming me for running away and for forcing my life down your throat, I was dealing with so much depression and then you were so happy and didn't look at me, I just felt left out and made the worst mistakes of my life,"
"I didn't leave you out, you were the one that left me out, I came back home when I heard you were around but you were so cold, I thought if I give you the distance that you will come around,"
"I didn't see it that way, I just saw that you didn't care about me as you did, and then you had it all and suddenly I didn't know what to do with my life so I felt, ah, that should be me, that should be my life and she stole it and I needed to get it back,"
"I didn't steal your life, Natalie, I would never do that,"
"I know that now and I am sorry my mistake cost you your happiness, after what happened, I couldn't live with myself, I thought it would be better if it all ended."
"You were suicidal?"
She asked in shock, she never thought her sister would go through to that extent.
"No, I wasn't but I could say I was on a self-destruction mission when your husband had me arrested, I really wanted to go to jail but then you woke up and told him to let me go which resulted in your break up, I felt so ashamed of myself and everything I did, I couldn't face you,"
"And that's why you have been avoiding me?"
"Yes, I couldn't face you, you lost so much because of my actions, no don't say I didn't push you, I know that was a mistake but my actions, they lead to those shits happening, if I hadn't been such a bitch, none of those things would have happened,"
Natalie lamented, Nicole knew her words were true but still she didn't blame her, everything in life happens for a reason, she might not have the life that she wanted and had thought will be hers but at least she was happy, at least she had people around her who cared about her, she couldn't lie and say everything was perfect but again, it doesn't have to be, it was still fine just the way it is.
"Natalie, listen to me, okay?"
She asked and her twin nodded.
"I don't blame you for anything that happened, yes they did because of your actions but I still choose not to fault you, you were broken, I am not excusing your behavior but I am just saying that I am blaming you either, I just want us to go back to how we used to be, we used to be so close and you were my best friend,"
"I know right, you were mine too,"
"I want that back,"
"I don't think I deserve a second chance,"
Natalie said sadly.
"I am not giving you a second chance woman, you are my better half, there are no second chances the two halves just have to come together and be happy together again, can we do that? I know it won't be easy getting back the way we were before all these happened but I, want us to be like that,"
Nicole said holding her sister's hand, it's been so long they sat close to each other, she missed her so much, more than she could ever say.
"Thank you, Nicole, you, I don't deserve you,"
Natalie said crying, her tears triggered Nicole's own and they both cried to their heart content after which they hugged each other close and stayed like that for a while, Nicole missed her sister so much and she was grateful that they were finally okay,
"Can I spend the night here?"
Nicole asked when they pulled apart.
"Sure, if that's what you want,"
"Yes, it's what I want, I am coming, just going to get something from my room,"
She said running to her room to get her phone, she needed to be up early so she had set her alarm, then she took her robe and ran back to her sister's room.
"What have you been up to? I am seeing you everywhere and it just gets me wondering if we switched without my knowledge,"
Natalie said when they lay in bed together, Nicole smiled at her words.
"We didn't switch, you know we are the same right? We have everything in common, I am just in my you element while you are in my me element,"
"Does that make sense to you?"
Natalie asked smiling, Nicole missed that smile, missed it so much when she saw the smile her eyes watered.
"Why are you crying? Did I say something wrong?"
"No, you didn't, it's just that I haven't seen that smile in almost a year now, I am so happy and overwhelmed right now,"
Nicole said hugging her sister on the bed.
"We will do better okay?"
She asked.
