"Sir, I didn't know who was that. The guy who came to deliver the package said its a gift from a friend to Mrs. Audriana Lorenzo and it is in our policy not to invade the customer's privacy, that's why I didn't check the content before handing it over to Mrs. Lorenzo" said the man who came in earlier to the manager of the hotel.
The hotel manager who goes by the name Mr. Delvin rolled his eyes and waved off the serviceman so he can leave the room walked over to Audriana who was receiving light caressing on her back, hair, and occasional kisses on her cheek and hair by her husband as she sat on his lap.
He was seated on the bed holding his wife all the while caressing her back and asking her to calm down. He was quite shocked as to who will send such a gift.
When he got back from where he went to, he saw some cleaning suppliance with disposed air freshener and other things, then the door was opened which was strange. He entered and the room was smelling of air freshener and something dead, then he saw Audriana with a cloth over her nose and mouth while spraying the room with two cans.
He asked what was going on and she told him what she received and he was quite shocked and angry. Who sent that a newlywed or to anybody? Who?
Audriana seemed a bit scared and shaken and he had to assure her that it was probably a mistake or a prank. He informed the management immediately and some cleaners were sent to help chase the smell away and the service guy who brought the package for Audriana was summoned.
"Sir, ma'am" Mr. Delvin began when he was standing in front of them.
They both looked up at him and he continued.
"I want to say I am deeply sorry for the scare, this might have been sent wrongly and we do have a policy of not invading our customer's privacy, hence we couldn't check the package before handing it over to your wife. I on the behalf of the management apologize to you," he said placing his palm on his chest.
Dimitri put Audriana on the bed and shakes his head as he got on his feet.
"No, Mr. Delvin, it isn't your fault at all. The package didn't come from you or your management so there is no need for you to apologize" he folds his arm and frowned a bit then looked at Audriana who was already looking at him.
She widened her eyes when he caught her staring and she immediately bows her head trying to calm her fast-beating heart. She wasn't sure if it was the package she received earlier is the cause of her heart beating fast or the fact that her husband caught her staring.
"I am just curious as to know who that person is and why send such disgusting look. My wife here was terrified, I wasn't home when she received the package but when I got back she looked scared telling me about it. I just want to find out who it was and their reasons for that" he state and the manager nods taking out his handkerchief to wipe his forehead.
"Yes, Mr. Lorenzo, we are working on that. We have phoned the delivery company to ask who placed such order. We will definitely inform you on what we are able to get our hands on" he assures them.
"Thank you very much for that Mr. Delvin"
"It's fine Mr. Lorenzo. We are sorry again and I hope this didn't paint a bad name of our hotel to you?" he asked.
"Oh, no. It didn't" Dimitri confirmed.
"Well then, have a good day sir" Mr. Delvin made a salute and turned to leave not before waving at Audriana.
Dimitri watched him as he left their room and let out a sigh and walked over to Audriana who had her head down. He sat on the bed still watching her.
She felt the bed dip but didn't bother to look up at him. She was still shaken at what just happened and he sitting close to her and acting like he cares so much for her was getting too much for her to handle.
Does he really care or he is just playing his part of the contract? Or just fulfilling husband duties. She wasn't sure of the possible option that came to her mind.
Maybe she is bothered because she likes him... like him? she possibly couldn't like him right, she is always telling herself she can't like him. She mustn't. Her thoughts were interrupted when he cleared his throat and she looked up to him.
"Are you sure you don't have any other friend aside Sofia?" he asked the same question he asked her earlier.
She shook her head no.
"Well then, we shouldn't be bothered too much. It will be taken care of, okay?" he said.
"Okay"
"Now" he stood up and her eyes followed his movement "Just because we are not compatible or we don't like each other, well can't speak for you though" he winked and she rolled her eyes. "It doesn't mean we can't go out, explore, do stuff..." he trailed and he saw her face scrunched with an eyebrow raised.
"No you dirty mind, I meant to do stuff as friends but if you want more than friend stuff, I am down girl. Remember we agreed to be friends? Before we got married and don't you remember?" he asked when she gave him a confused look.
"Don't tell me my handsomeness made you forgot our agreements?" he asked again and she burst out laughing.
"Don't let it get to your head," she said after a while of laughing
"So you agree I am handsome?"
"I didn't remember agreeing to be friends with you, and where are you going with your talking?" she asked ignoring his earlier question.
"Let's go out, you know do stuff, like playing games in an arcade, going to see a match, going to the beach.... you know stuff" he shrugged.
"Hmm... I like the idea though but we will go to the arcade then to the beach" she said and got up from the bed. She stretched making her shirt ride up a bit and that got his attention to her flat stomach.
He took his gaze when he felt he stared long enough and cleared his throat.
"I didn't say you get to decide where we will be spending our day today"
"Excuse me, Mister, a good mature husband will let his wife decide where they spend their honeymoon" she crossed her hand under her bust.
"And a good wife will be submissive towards her husband and do as he says" he smirked.
"Do I look like a slave to you?" she asked with a raised brow.
"This marriage thing is new to you eh?" he asked with a chuckle and walked over to the closet they are sharing. "Just get ready, and pack a swimsuit, I would like to see what my wife looks like in swimwear." he turned to wink at her.
"In your dreams jerk" she entered the bathroom and slammed the door hard.
He just chuckled and picked something simple to wear. It was definitely going to be a long day.
