I was being dragged, again. The bulky man held my forearm really tight and continued tracking me out of the cell and through the narrow passage I was pretty sure my blood circulation had stopped by now.
"Rose!" Alex screamed when a man slapped him hard on the face. It made my blood at another level.
"Leave him the fuck out of this!" I yelled to the top of my voice as I pushed my nails in the wrist of my captor.
The man dragging me, pushed open the metal door before we entered. He shoved me, not so gently on a wooden chair and tied my arms and legs, they did the same with Alex and he was crying uncontrollably. It made my heart break again and again.
Screaming in my head, 'Where the fuck are you, Xavier?!'
Trying to wriggle out of the ropes. I tried hard but all the energy was drained from my body. I didn't have the energy to lift my finger, I just threw my head back and closed my eyes tightly.
Looking sideways, "Alex," I called him as he looked like he was going to pass out on the chair now.
"Baby, look at me," he slowly turned his face towards me and this time he scared me.
The look on his face was blank, absolutely blank, as if he was struck by some tragedy and he couldn't react. "Alex, talk to me."
His lips quivered as tears started to flow down his eyes, he sobbed uncontrollably and I couldn't freaking do anything.
"Alex, baby, it's fine. Don't cry, we'll be fine."
"No!" He screamed, "They hurt you, they hurt me, Y-You …. there's so much… blood."
Before I could assure him, a scream left my lips when an excruciating pain passed through my arm. The cool metal that was plunged into my arm was twisted making me scream louder.
"Don't hurt her!" Alex screamed as he tried wriggling out of the tight ropes around him.
"Scream louder you bitch!" The man yelled in my face and slapped me hard on my cheek making my head fall onto the opposite side. Tears escaped from my closed kids sliding my bruised cheek and falling gently on the ground.
He grabbed a handful of my hairs and yanked them to his side, "Remember me?" He asked.
As now I finally know who I am, I searched his face from my memories. Thinking hard, I finally recognized him as, "Matt Rogers," I mumbled.
Matt pulled my face further into him, "So, you got your memories back?" He said through his clenched teeth.
"That's enough!" Savannah's voice yelled, and I finally got a chance to breathe. I took in a much-needed breath, my lungs burning making me cough violently.
"They had too much fun I guess," she tsked.
"Ma'am," Matt called her from the back, "Ah! Thank you." She smiled at him who bought a chair for her to sit on.
"So, Evelyn, had a great time, huh?" She asked and looked around the room.
"Of course!" I exclaimed sarcastically.
"Well, I did too. It was fun pushing your kids that day and also, this pathetic kid." She said with a smile on her face.
Oh! How badly I wanted to wipe it off her face. Well, if it was for me, I would have beheaded her in front of the entire town, she deserved it much more than that. She dared to hurt my kids, MY kids. The woman will pay before something happens to either of us.
"Anyway! We have a surprise for you, ready?" She asked before walking towards the door.
Savannah opened the doors and came back in, but not alone. My breeding hissed in my throat when I saw a wheeling in an unconscious Chris Walker.
"CHRIS!" I yelled as best as I could and shook my hands violently. "Chris, wake-up!" I yelled again. "Please!" Tears strolled down my eyes looking at his pale face, my heart ached while seeing him in this condition.
"Stop yelling you bitch!" Savannah yelled and slapped me hard on my cheek.
I pulled my head back and glared at her, "What have you done to him?!" I asked through gritted teeth.
"Don't worry he's not dead." She said and opened the bottle of water and splashed it on Chris's face who began coughing. When his coughing fits ceased, he slowly opened his eyes and when he saw us, he was fully awake.
"Evelyn! Alexander!" He began with his gruff voice. "I told you not to touch them!" He yelled at Savannah, all the while trying to free himself but he couldn't.
"Like I would listen to you," she rolled her eyes.
"Why are you doing this, I loved you?!" Chris scowled at the black head.
"Do I look like I give a fuck," she scoffed, "I always wanted Xavier. I tried to kill her five years back, but then also I couldn't make him mine, because of this pathetic child," she pointed at Alex who was half-asleep by now. "So, I came in relationship with you to stay close to Xavier. When I thought he would be mine again, she came alive!"
"Why are you with her Matt?" Chris asked.
He clenched his jaw, "Because she destroyed my career. I wasn't able to join any company in New York, not only there but wherever I went, just because of Xavier Knight and her!"
I shut my eyes tightly when my vision began to get blurry.
‘No! No, you can't fall asleep. You have to stay awake. Stay awake, Evelyn!’ I chanted in my mind.

It was the first time I admitted to myself that I’m Evelyn and man, it felt good. It felt like mine.
"Enough with the talk, let's just kill them." Matt declared.
I balled my hands in tight fists, my nails digging in my palms to the point it started bleeding.
Matt was about to take a step towards Alex, when I screamed to the top of my lungs, "Stay away from my son!"
"Stop!" Yelled Savannah as she pointed the gun on my forehead.
"Enough! Let's get this over with, let's kill them all and put an end to it." She yelled and pressed the gun harder against my forehead. Matt was about to say something but was cut off by the door opening with a bang.
