It was two weeks into Jessie's recovery and she was finding it hard to curb her attraction for Theo. He was everywhere!
He wanted to help her to change for bed, to get into bed, to get out of bed... Jessie knew Theo was just tryin to be kind but she swore to all things holy that, if she got a whiff of his cologne one more time, she was going to let her restraints loose.
She sighed and tried to get up from the couch before her stupid bladder embarrassed her.
"Should I give you a hand-?", Theo started asking, rushing over to her.
"No! No, you cannot give me a hand Theo! Just... just let me be, goddammit", she replied, then walked away as quickly as she could.
When Jessie reached the bathroom, she sighed and rested her forehead on the wall. She could not explain her anger towards Theo.
No! She actually could. She was mad at him for being so damn irresistible and making her forget about her heartache. She felt so guilty that he was making her forget someone she had claimed to love her whole life.
Jessie sighed again (her favorite hobby), did her business and came out of the toilet. She walked steadily as she could with her crutches and went to Theo's room.
After knocking tentatively and getting no response, she opened the door hesitantly and got in.
It was the second time Jessie had found herself in Theo's room and this time around, she was able to scrutinize it completely.
A bluish gray colour dominated the whole theme of the room, making a contrast with the stark white that was all over the house, in all the other rooms.
As Jessie was looking, she did not hear the door to the adjoining bathroom get opened and did not see Theo step out. The only thing that gave him away was in shampoo that smelt like cinnamon.
Jessie turned abruptly so as to face Theo and almost twisted her good ankle. Luckily enough, Theo caught her just in time.
She stayed for a moment in his arms silently, then stuttered out, "I- I just- I'm really sorry for snapping at you earlier. It was uncalled for. I'm just really-", she took in a deep breath then looked at him straight in his eyes. "I'm just really stressed out- but I didn't mean to take it out on you- and I shouldn't have-"
"Jessie", Theo said, cutting her off. She nodded stupidly in response with a small hum.
"Shut up", he whispered, then placed his lips delicately on hers. Jessie's eyes widened momentarily, then she melted into the kiss and closed her eyes.
Their noses brushed against each other and Jessie gasped at the sensations she was getting. It was almost as if all her senses had gone into overdrive. Theo took advantage of this and slipped his tongue into her mouth.
Theo was everywhere. She could feel his touch on her skin, the very touch that was giving her goosebumps right now. Every breath she took was filled with his fresh and clean scent. His sweet taste, the feel of his tongue on hers. Their heartbeats pounding almost in sync was like music to her ears and his hand placed on her lower back was giving her goosebumps.
Moments later, reluctantly, Jessie opened her eyes and almost as if it was an accord, both her and theo's left each other.
They kept their gazes on each other, their eyes reeled with a shy but fiery passion that was bearing on the restraints of control. Theo seemed never to want to let go of Jessie and Jessie wanted to keep in breathing Theo in.
All of the sudden, Jessie let out a small laugh, breaking the moment. Theo looked confused for a moment, then gave her a questioning look, dropping his hands from her waist.
"I just realized your eyes are not actually black, they're grey", she replied, fiddling with her braided hair.
"Oh... okay... huh", was all Theo said making Jessie flush deeply against her dark skin.
"You're adorable", he whispered, as she made a move to go out of the room, pecked her lips and loosened his towel, throwing it carelessly on the bed.
Jessie went out immediately with an even deeper unnoticeable blush know her face. She closed the door behin her and leaned against it, touching her lips with an awe-filled sigh.
She had never felt something so extraordinary, and at that moment, she felt there was nothing that could compare to that feeling.
