Bonnie's heart took on a fast-pace as she stared at Xavier. His eyes were red and laced with anger or maybe it was hatred.
Well, she wasn't surprised. He had always looked at her with those eyes.
"Nothing," he stuttered. "I was just asking Mercury why the bathtub was nowhere to be found," she lied.
Xavier looked over at Mercury as if trying to affirm the accusations were right. "You can leave," he told her.
Mercury bowed slightly before walking out.
" You sincerely didn't think I would let you kill yourself again?" He scoffed.
Bonnie took in another deep breath as she squeezed the note the more in her hand.
"I'm sorry, but can I have some privacy?"
Xavier regarded her for a moment, then sighed. " Have you forgot this is my room?"
Bonnie's eyes thinned as realization became dawned on her. " I'm sorry," she fidgeted. " I will leave your room now," she took a step forward but Xavier caught her by the arm and pulled her closer to him. " What the fuck are you doing?" She yelled with fear.
Xavier stroked her back slightly, causing heat to rise in her. But the weird thing was that Xavier was also feeling weird.
"Rowan knows when you left the heat and he knew that I haven't been sleeping with you. You guys are leaving tomorrow, so in supposed to stay with you tonight."
Bonnie took in another deep breath. " Tonight, you said. It's still afternoon."
Xavier pulled back and stared down at her with a hint of rage. "Do you think I want to spend more time with you? You aren't even Gwen."
Bonnie looked away as she felt a purge of sadness. Xavier was right anyways. That aside, she knew how happy her wolf was that it would be spending a lot of time with its mate.
It could be obstructing her but it was what she needed at that moment as well.
Bonnie looked up again and nodded slowly. "I will do anything you want."
Xavier nodded, with a twist to his mouth. " You should get the maids to bring in snacks. I'm going inside the bathroom for a long shower," he didn't wait for a reply and instead strode towards the bathroom.
Bonnie released the breath that she didn't even know she was holding. She walked out of the room and realized that Mercury was waiting at the door.
"Get the maids to bring us nice snacks and perhaps some champagne," she ordered and stretched out the note that Mercury caught before walking away.
She took several breaths in front of the room before finally walking back in. She couldn't stop the sweaty palms or her shaking legs at the fact that something might actually happen between them that night.
Though, she was sure that Xavier doesn't love her. And may never want to do anything with her but she wanted it. He was her mate after all.
When she walked back inside, Xavier was standing in front of the mirror, naked.
Even though it wasn't the first time that she would be seeing him naked, it felt weird that he was and it created a lump in her throat and a blush on her cheeks.
She looked away quickly and instead moved around towards the bed.
"You are not stepping out of this room, do you know that?" His thick voice sent a shiver down her spine.
She swallowed harder. " Alright Alpha."
However, she was expecting him to talk about the men that came over to his room a few moments back and it was surprising when he got dressed and didn't say a word.
The knock on the door jerked her up and she realized that Xavier had dressed up in a long trousers and an undershirt. He looked super sexy.
He opened the door wider for the maids to walk in. They moved to the table and placed the tray of food there. They brought along a bottle of champagne.
Xavier turned towards Bonnie, a teasing smile on his face. "You told them to bring champagne?"
Bonnie stared up at him and got lost in his smile. If only he could smile at her that way. She wouldn't even worry if it was sincere or not. She slowly nodded.
Xavier nodded briefly and moved towards the table, just as the maids walked out of the room.
"Are you going to stay there or come here?" His voice was back to being stiff. He sat on the chair and poured himself some wine.
Bonnie got out of the bed and dragged her feet towards him. "I'm not really hungry," she complained.
"Then drink," Xavier ordered in a deep voice. " You are in my room after all. You can safely enter your heat."
Something became stuck up in her throat suddenly. She didn't know if it was right to do so but she strangely wished she could go back to heat. Maybe, she would be able to have Xavier in her arms, to have him inside her.
The thought made her blush and she looked away and reached for the champagne, at the same time that Xavier reached for it as well. Their hands touched and a mixed feeling passed through them.
Bonnie wasn't sure if Xavier felt the same because he didn't act like it. If he was, then he was just good with faking his emotion.
"Are you good with alcohol?" Bonnie withdrew and Xavier helped her with the alcohol.
Bonnie nodded, even though it was all a lie. She wanted to get drunk anyway, perhaps she wouldn't be feeling so miserable.
"Interesting, I don't like when people give me trouble after drinking," he mumbled.
Bonnie nodded again and finished the drink in one go.
Xavier watched her for a moment and took the fries. He also sip the alcohol, but not as how Bonnie was taking it.
By the time he looked up at Bonnie again, she was drinking the third round.
"Amazing!" Xavier laughed as he watched Bonnie gulp down the whole cup as if she was in a competition.
Bonnie hit the cup on the table violently and smiled. "I told you that I could do it."
"Sure, you did," he smiled and picked up his cup as well. "Just be careful so you don't get drunk. I don't_," he pulled to a stop quickly when Bonnie cupped her face and stared at Xavier. "What?"
Bonnie blinked once. "Am I beautiful?"
Xavier furrowed his brows and regarded her for a moment. "What the fuck?"
"I mean I look exactly like Gwen. That makes me beautiful right?"
"You better_," he started with clenched teeth.
" Are you attracted to me?" Bonnie said quickly, cutting through his words.
Xavier sighed immediately, realizing she was drunk already.
Though, Somehow, her question bothered him. He had been feeling weird recently anyways. And then, he remembered the lies that she told him. There was no way Bonnie could have been fucked and still had a little hole.
Xavier knew something was off with her mate. There was no way he could be mated to two wolves but he knew something was off somewhere, something that even Bonnie wasn't telling him.
He poured himself more wine and sipped slowly. "Tell me, Bonnie. Who is your mate?"
Bonnie looked up slowly and smiled. "I'm not going to say that, unless," she sat up and smiled. " Unless you kiss me."
Xavier regarded her for a moment as if he couldn't believe what she had just requested.
He went closer to her and pulled her up. His arm snaked around her, pulling her closer to his hard chest and the hard cock.
