As early as possible Mrs Habiba (Umma) bathed and dress up before she wakes Mallam Audu up "Mallam stand up and bath your water is already in the toilet" Mrs Habiba said adjusting her hijab
"Habiba"Mallam Audu called but got no answer from his wife and sighed " why are you stressing yourself out?. It's just an ordinary cold. You know how I cough alot when am exposed to a little bit of cold, so please let forget about going to the hospital"
"No, and I mean it. You thought I was asleep when you were coughing all through out the night. Let me tell you something you don't know, I was not asleep my two eyes was open. Now go and bath and let start going or I tell your daughter" Mrs Habiba threatened because she knows that will be the last thing her husband will agreed to
"No need of telling her let me quickly go and bath, so we can leave" Mallam Audu stood up and want out to bath which Mrs Habiba sighed in relief.
Mrs Habiba and Mallam Audu were set to go out already, so they both walk out of the room looking good. Immediately they set there feet out of there room they saw Tehzeeb standing there looking at them with sharp eyes "Umma Baba Good morning. But where are you going to?" Comes her question after greating them
"Atleast allow us to answer your greatings before you start questioning us" Umma answered
"How you my dear. Don't worry were just going out to great someone, we will be back before you know it"Mallam Audu lied because he knows it's Tehzeeb small work to follow them now
"Greating as early as this morning. I think you should go later but it's to early for you to visit someone now"
"Toh Sanu Kaka mu da uban mu( Weldon our grandmother and father)" Umma said "we're going out now since we're your parents not the other way round. And you better dressed up and go for your IT before you will be late"Umma said not giving her the face to question them more. Tehzeeb sighed defeated, she knows her mother not to tell her anything again that's why she used her mother's tone on her
"Okay. My regards to whoever your going to great" Tehzeeb said and left them because she's not happy with them.
"Gogo Ramatu till we come back. I hope you can stay alone before we come back?" Umma asked
"Don't worry I will be fine. But at least have your breakfast before leaving" Gogo Ramatu said out of concern
"Don't worry we won't be long. Thank you" with that being said Umma grab her husband hand and left the house without even taking a second glance at her daughter for her to have chance to question them
Immediately they left home Tehzeeb break down and cry "oh ni (oh me). Don't tell me it's because they didn't tell you where there going that's why your crying?" Gogo Ramatu asked
"Is it not them. Why won't they tell me where there going early in the morning when they are not used to going out this early" Tehzeeb said with tears streaming down her
"Don't worry, you know it's not everything your parents tends to tell you. Something are better left unsaid, but with time you will understand them. Now wipe your tears and go and bath so you can go and get ready. Let me do your breakfast" Gogo Ramatu said helping Tehzeeb up from where she was sitting. Tehzeeb stand up and go ahead to do what Gogo Ramatu asked her to do without further complain
Mrs Habiba did everything needed to be done before seeing the doctor while Mallam Audu tries to tell her he's fine but that fell on deaf hears because she did not listen to him. When they called Mallam Audu's name Mrs Habiba stand up and hold him and they entered the doctors office together
"Good morning"Mrs Habiba greated
"Good morning, and please have a seat"the doctor said gesturing to the seats for Umma and Baba to sit on which they did. "So please how may I help you?" Asked the doctor
"My husband have been coughing since yesterday night. And this morning his still coughing" Mrs Habiba answers
"Oh sorry. Can you please tell me what you're feeling? Or do you feel any kind of pain in your chest or any other place?" Asked the doctor
"No I don't. It's just a normal cold, I tend to react so much to cold when am exposed to the weather" Mallam Audu explain
"Doctor don't listen to him. I want you to run some tests before anything" Mrs Habiba said out of the blue
"Am fine Habiba it's just a normal cold, don't take it so serious" Mallam Audu said. The doctor smile at them because mashallah they look adorable and cute. He cleared his voice to get there attention since they were busy arguing
"It's okay, let's just run some tests, so she would be satisfied" the doctor reason
"Thank you doctor" Mrs Habiba said which Mallam Audu sigh because he knows Habiba so much not to stir if she have said something. They run some tests and where waiting for the results to come out. When the results is ready the doctor come in and exchange some looks with Mallam Audu which Mrs Habiba was not aware of.
"Madam the results are out and nothing is wrong with him, but I will admister some drugs so you can get it in the pharmacy"
"Thank you doctor. At least my mind will be at ease" The doctor write down the name of the drugs to them and they left without Baba uttering a thing
"Mary" Ibrahim shouted
"Yes sir"
"I thought you said I have a new secretary. Where is she?" Ibrahim asked angrily
"Am sorry sir she would be here soon"
"What?" He asked in disbelief "are you telling me she's not here already? Impossible, you know I hate tardiness" Ibrahim shouted in anger
"A..a...am sorry sir" Mary said stammering
"Don't tell me sorry"shouted Ibrahim "you know what, if she arrived tell her to look for another company not this company again because she's no longer welcome here" Ibrahim dismissed Mary
"Good morning sir" someone greated from outside the door which was locked
"And who the hell is by my door. Mary check who the hell is that". Mary quickly went to open the door and saw it was Tehzeeb she walk out and closed Ibrahim inside before she speaks to Tehzeeb in a hush voice
"Why are you late?" Mary asked a bit worried
"Am sorry something came up" Tehzeeb replies
"I don't know what to do now, because the person you are working under is cold hearted" before Mary could continue she heard Ibrahim's voice from inside
"What the hell are you doing outside?, Did the person hold you there that you can't come in and tell me who it is" Ibrahim shouted from inside and instantly Tehzeeb recognized the voice because it's was the same way he talked to her yesterday. She just wonder what he his feeling like that he will be shouting on people
"Am sorry sir. We're coming inside now" and Mary open the door which Tehzeeb follow behind her "Sir, the IT student is here" Mary said in a low voice. Ibrahim without bothering to look up speaks
"I think i told you to let her know to get another company for her IT, and you have the guts to come in and tell me some trash" Ibrahim said banging the table in annoyance before he looks up and come eye ball to eye ball with Tehzeeb "don't tell me she's the IT student?" Asked Ibrahim
"Am sorry sir but she's the one"comes Mary reply
"Are you blind? Don't you have eyes or what? Did you think someone as clumsy and tardy as this can work here?" Ibrahim asked Mary who is already shivering.
"But sir"
"Don't but me. Just answer me"Tehzeeb was hearing all Ibrahim is saying but decided to keep quiet since she have nothing to say because she knows she was late. Ibrahim keeps on shouting on Mary before Tehzeeb finally speaks up
"Am sorry, it's all my fault" Tehzeeb said because she knows it's sorry that Ibrahim want to hear that his saying all this trash
"Sorry for yourself. This should be the first and the last you will come to work late or else forget working here" Ibrahim said to Tehzeeb before he turns to face Mary "and you" he said pointing to Mary "you can leave and next time you're taking IT student make sure you look at them very well before giving them a chance, because we can't just be taking anyhow people into the company"
"Okay sir. Such thing won't happen again"
"You may leave" he said to Mary which she left "get me a cup of coffee and I give you just two minutes after two minutes forget coming back here" Ibrahim said to Tehzeeb before he continues with his work. Tehzeeb left to asked Mary where she can get the coffee
"Woow, I don't need to stress myself on finding her again for revenge. She brought herself to me" Ibrahim said smiling evilly. Tehzeeb walk in shortly and handover the coffee to him which he collected and sip it but immediately spit it out
"Do you want to kill me or what?. I knew your dull but not to this extent. You better get me another cup of coffee again" Ibrahim said throwing the cup of coffee inside the trash can
Ibrahim did not allow Tehzeeb to sit even for a second because she was walking up and down for more than five times before he finally said the coffee is okay by him. Tehzeeb was pissed off but try to control her emotion since it's her second day. She don't want to be rude to him but vow not to keep quiet if this continues
