It started off as another dream. I could see Lucian calling out to me, his lips were moving but I couldn't make out his words. I was pleading with him not to leave me while holding on to him.

For the first time in two weeks, I felt alive. The excitement, relief, happiness, and even fear racing through me were bright and intense.

Slowly, things were starting to return to normal. We had dinner downstairs for the first since Lucian returned home, even Devin was present.
Loretta excused herself, even though I could guess why she was leaving, it surely must have had something to do with Fred who had excused himself about five minutes ago.
