Sydney’s POV:
We all are speechless. My mom and dad don’t know about anything that happened in hell. They are looking at me for answers. I’m looking at Jacen. How am I going to answer them in front of Cassie? Dorothy’s dead. Those demon girls killed her. It’s not their fault. They helped us. Dorothy tried to kill us all. She had the wrong motive. We don’t.
“I killed her.” Jade boldly told like she did a great job.
“What? why did you do that? Why...you murderers...” she sobbed and fell down on her knees. Jade should have not spoken harshly to her. No matter how much I hate her. I know her pain. I know the pain of losing my parents. At least I got them back, but she won’t.
“What happened in hell, Sydney? How did you get out? I don’t understand anything. Who’re that two girls? Why did they kill Dorothy? You need to explain a lot.” my mom filled me with any questions. It all needs to be answered.
“I will fill you with everything, mom. We can’t talk here,” I whispered as I looked at Cassie. She looked so broken. Suddenly, Noah came forward to comfort her. Cassie always likes Noah, and she never spoke with hatred when she’s with Noah. But he doesn’t like her. Noah helped me to get the key to their room and betrayed Cassie.
“Don’t take another step. I hate you. I hate you to the core. I hate you all.” She yelled at him.
“Please let me talk. We didn’t kill her. It happened unexpectedly. I can’t feel your pain. But I’m sorry about that.” Noah tried to smooth talk to her. He wasn’t acting. He’s talking from his heart.
“My brother doesn’t need to talk like that. She won’t understand anything. Dorothy tried to kill us all. We are the ones who should be angry.” Jacen told me, but he was loud enough to be heard by Cassie.
“Did she try to kill you? I know that. That’s why you killed her in return.” Cassie murmured to herself. I hope she realizes the mistake her mom made all these years. She still can change herself now.
“Follow me, Sydney. I will take you to the council meeting where we can discuss everything.” Mom told, taking me to a massive hall. Andrian Johnwolf and Countess Bailfang are seated and discussing something. They got shocked the moment they saw my face. This is the first time I’m seeing the first vampire and Werewolf.
Soon, I filled them with everything they need to know. “It seems like I’m hearing something which is impossible,” Countess told, signing heavily.
“I can’t believe this. Why didn’t I notice your eyes?” Mom said, examining it. It’s a mixture of Orange and blue.
“This eye colour isn’t important, mom. What am I going to do now? I don’t think there’s a way to give up my powers. This is the thing I brought to myself. Now, who am I? Will I be the heir to this kingdom or rule hell? I need someone to guide me.”
“I know what she needs to do. She can manage both. The routine of her life won’t be simple. But if she’s willing, she can live a double life.” Countess confirmed.
“What are you saying? She needs to give up something. She can only do one thing.” Andrian argued. I’m taking sides with Countess.
“I’m willing to live a double life here in Slateville and in hell. I need someone to guide me. That’s all I asked.” I declared. Andrian stopped his argument and nodded.
“I will guide me. I will find a way for you to manage both places, Sapphire. It’s settled.” Countess patted my shoulder.
“Prepare the day for her coronation. The first time, it was cancelled. It won’t happen again,” she added.
Later, I talked with Noah. He said that he’s happy that I’m with his brother. He wasn’t angry at me. He said he knows how much Jacen and I love each other and finally Noah and I got back as friends. The rest of the day was filled with happiness. Noah, Jacen, Amelia, Mason, Jade, Zissa, Kassidy, Lydia, Victoria, Peter and I enjoyed the dinner and spend the most precious time together. It was fun. The fun that I never have seen in my life till now. The next day, I created a portal to the world. New Orleans. The place where this story started. That’s where Jacen saw Phoebe and fed on her. That’s when I met him. Now, we six are back here. Mason, Jade, Zissa and I are standing at the entrance of the portal.
Everyone in the world would have thought Mason and Phoebe are lost. Now, he’s going back, but I know he won’t utter a single word about Hell or Slateville.
“I can go by myself. Thank you for giving my life back, Sapphire. I never thought I would get my life back.” Mason thanked me with a hug. Instead of feeling happy, I felt sad. He lost her sister.
“I’m sorry, Mason. I couldn’t get your sister’s life back. If I could go back in time, I would totally save her time. Trust me. If there’s a chance, I will definitely do that.”
“I know. I know. It’s okay. We can’t change the past. Even if we can, I don’t want you to involve yourself in another problem. Just visit me whenever you can. You are like my sister now,” he emotionally said.
“Sure. I will visit you again. You are like my brother, too. A human brother...” I said, half-laughing and half-crying.
“Enough of these sentiments. We need to find where Lucifer lives. So, bye.” Jade came right to the point.
“Fine. Bye,” I waved at them and came right through the portal back to Slateville. I wish I could spend some time in New Orleans. I will get time once I could visit Mason again.
After a week:
The Tv news told everything about the heir to the Slateville kingdom. And do you know where I am I doing? I’m in the ball after the coronation. It was supposed to happen a month ago. But it was destined to happen only when I become the ruler of both the paranormal city and hell.
Right now, there’s a shining silver tiara on my head. I’m the princess of Slateville. I should be wearing a full blue gown. But the gown comes in a blue colour till my knees and the remaining are in orange colour. It represents that I belong to Slateville and hell. If I could learn how to be a Queen of hell, there would be no problem in showing justice. Justice will be served rightly.
“You are looking so beautiful, baby,” Jacen said, holding my hands. We both are standing in the middle of the hall. He’s in a black tuxedo. Jacen looks so hot and handsome. It’s been a long time since I got time to admire him. Now, I got the whole eternity. He’s all mine. The trouble was all worth it.
“I need to see what’s underneath this lovely dress,” Jacen said, making me blush.
“You can see it when the party is over,” I told him, leaning on his shoulder, dancing slowly to the beat. This is the life I wanted. A perfect life, a forever life.
“I thought I will be living alone if you are not immortal, baby. I can’t live that life. Now, I don’t have that problem. My girlfriend is immortal just like me.” he whispered in my ears. I can feel the happiness. I can imagine him being my prince and the king of Slateville. One day, we will get married. All the beautiful things going on in my mind are yet to happen.
“Yeah, I can live a forever life with you, Jacen. I love you.” I proposed to him again. I can say it a million times.
“I love you too, baby. You are all mine,” he said, lifting my head and kissing me. It was a passionate kiss. I never wanted it to end. But I broke the kiss to say something in return.
“I’m all yours.” I kissed him deeply again. I know this is the end of all my problems. I’m starting my happy life with Jacen at this Academy. I’m going to study here with my friends for the rest of the year peacefully. Then, I get to live forever with Jacen. Forever and ever and ever......
