"Um... th-this... what’s going on here?"
Yunyun huddled in the corner of the bath, timidly asking this question.
She was in a suburban mansion — the lord’s manor of Axel.
During the coldest days of winter, a hot bath was pure bliss. Here she was, soaking in a huge, luxurious bath big enough for four people.
And indeed, there were four people present.
"Hah... what are you talking about? We’re just taking a bath, aren’t we? It feels nice, so stop complaining." Megumin lay limp at the edge of the bath, motionless as she enjoyed the comfort of the hot water.
"That’s right, Yunyun, just relax and enjoy the hot bath." Darkness sat at the edge, trying to comfort the woman who was shrinking timidly in the corner.
Though this was their first meeting, the beautiful young girl was simply too shy. As the older woman, Darkness naturally took on a mature, comforting role.
"Um... I... I’m really grateful that you invited me over and even let me bathe here, but..." Yunyun’s grateful voice grew increasingly faint.
Finally, unable to contain herself any longer, she burst out:
"Why is Mr. Adam here too—!?"
She pointed at the man sitting casually in the bath, who showed no sign of discomfort, while she remained utterly bewildered by his presence.
"..." Adam remained silent.
Appreciating the bathing beauties before him was intensely pleasurable. If not for his rationality and moral principles, he might have pounced like a hungry wolf.
But indeed, this was an unusual situation.
This should have been a ladies’ bathroom chat — so why was he, a grown man, here?
He had forgotten exactly how it happened...
But Adam vaguely recalled that Darkness had recklessly hugged him and refused to let go.
Between the sliminess of the mucus and the smoothness of the knight’s skin, he became dazed from the intense sensations.
While the feel of the voluptuous knight was pleasant, the mucus’s stench was overwhelming. Sometimes having such a keen sense of smell was more curse than blessing.
And so, after returning and being embraced again, Darkness had dragged his dazed self into the bath to play chess with three beautiful girls.
He would never admit this was intentional, even if he secretly wished to checkmate them.
"Hey Yunyun, instead of showing gratitude, you’re picking fights right now — are you doing this on purpose?" Megumin immediately claimed the moral high ground.
She had conveniently forgotten that she was the one who had gotten Yunyun all sticky earlier, making her long-lost childhood friend cry.
Adam had only invited Yunyun to the mansion because he worried such excessive behavior might damage their friendship.
Of course, he hadn’t meant for her to get caught up in this situation.
"I apologize if I’m making you uncomfortable." Adam said to the girl huddled in the corner, "I’ll leave so you can relax."
As he prepared to stand, the shy Yunyun suddenly jumped up.
"No! We can’t let you leave!"
Her towel-wrapped figure was curvaceous, the wet fabric clinging transparently to her skin, revealing how well-developed she had become.
...Though still not quite matching a certain perverted knight.
But given the age difference, and that Yunyun still had plenty of time to grow, I had high hopes for the beautiful girl.
"You’re the lord of the manor, how could we let you leave? If anyone should leave, it should be me, the guest!" Yunyun insisted with unexpected determination.
Despite her blushing face betraying her embarrassment, she was resolute about leaving the warm bathroom.
"No need to say more!" Yunyun cut Adam off, hurrying towards the exit, "This is how it should be — if anyone’s an outsider, I should be the one to leave!"
"No, that’s not it... your towel fell off."
Yunyun looked down to see her fair, rosy skin exposed to the air. Embarrassment washed over her as a crimson blush crept up her cheeks.
A scream echoed throughout the mansion.
The girl had paid the price for her rashness.
Now she huddled in the corner of the bath, head hanging low, face pale, muttering under her breath.
With Adam’s super hearing, he caught fragments of her mumbling:
"It’s over... can’t get married... what should I do... mom..."
Adam knew he absolutely couldn’t speak at this moment. With so many girls in the bathroom, trying to comfort her would only cause trouble. Silence was the best solution!
That’s what his warning radar told him.
But it wasn’t over yet!
The incoming danger wasn’t just Yunyun’s mishap — an unpredictable troublemaker was approaching!
The bathroom door burst open, and a beautiful girl with water-blue hair appeared before everyone.
System crash! This idiot would definitely misunderstand!
"Wh-what’s wrong! I just got back and heard screaming from the bathroom — what happened?!" Aqua stood at the door, anxiously expressing her concern.
But she froze when she saw the four people in the bathroom staring at her blankly, her eyes fixed on the man in the bath.
We’re completely busted! I’ve been caught hard-rocked!
A moment of silence fell.
Megumin lazily greeted her, "Oh, it’s Aqua, welcome back."
"Ah, as you can see, we’re taking a bath." Megumin explained with an innocent face, completely unaware, "Well, it’s very cold outside, so everyone wanted to warm up in a hot bath... um, could you close the door, Aqua? The wind is getting a bit chilly."
"Ah... okay." Aqua closed the door again.
How strange! Really strange!
This idiot Aqua actually didn’t make a huge fuss! Why?
Just as Adam was feeling confused, Aqua opened the bathroom door again.
He thought she had come to her senses and was going to make a huge fuss, but instead she appeared before everyone wrapped in a towel.
"Count me in!" Aqua announced, "All of you taking a bath together — that’s too sneaky! So, count me in!"
As she spoke, she casually entered the bathroom.
Quickly and efficiently rinsing her body, she walked into the bath and sat down right next to Adam!
