"Adam, are you in there?"
Just as primal desires threatened to overwhelm him — the urge to claim Darkness as his own consuming his thoughts — Aqua's voice came from outside the bathroom.
Her voice snapped Adam from his daze, and Darkness's eyes fluttered open.
As expected of the Goddess of Water! Her mere words had quelled the passionate fervor between the man and woman who stood at passion's precipice.
He winked at the voluptuous beauty in his arms and shook his head slightly, signaling her to stay quiet.
"Ah, it is you! I knew it, no wonder—" Aqua's voice softened, then rose again, "Adam, hurry up, I need to take a bath too, I feel all sticky and uncomfortable!"
"..." With clear reluctance, Adam said, "Aqua, can you come back in 5 minutes?"
"Huh?! Why?! No, I want to take a bath right now!"
Hearing the stubborn protest in her voice, he had to say, "I'm not wearing any clothes!"
"That's fine, I don't mind! We can bathe together!"
"Woman, I'm in a very delicate situation here, so if you don't want to see a dragon erupting, wait until I calm down!"

However, the voluptuous beauty in his arms had other plans. Upon hearing his exchange with Aqua, she made an astonishingly bold move!

"Hiss!" He couldn't help but draw in a sharp breath!
"Adam? What's wrong?" Aqua hadn't left yet, and hearing his voice, she asked with concern, "Are you okay? Are you feeling unwell... down there? Let me come in and heal you!"
She reached for the bathroom door.
"Aqua, I'm warning you not to open this door."
He wrapped his arms around the beauty in his arms, holding her still to stop her movements. His eyes widened slightly, silently scolding her for causing trouble at such a moment.
However, his hands, meant to hold her still, ended up on her shapely bottom. To keep Darkness from moving, he gave a particularly firm squeeze.
Her burning body instantly stiffened, her breath coming in quick gasps as she let out soft moans!
Those alluring, seductive sounds tugged at the young man's heartstrings.
"Is that so... you should be careful."
Aqua's intelligence level was reassuringly low, and she dismissed it as typical male behavior, simply telling him to be careful.
If it were Kazuma, she might have used a〚God Blow〛when he came out, but Adam was completely different.
"Mm, I'll be careful."
"Well then, I'll go first."
Only after her footsteps faded into the distance did Adam finally let out a soft sigh and relax.
"Darkness, it's time to leave." He nudged the beauty in his arms, but found her body limp and unmoving, "Darkness?"
Anxiously lifting her face, he found her eyes tightly closed, her cheeks flushed red, and her breathing gentle.
"Did she faint?" Adam was stunned.
This girl, who had been so aggressive tonight, nearly pushing him over the edge — who would have thought she'd be the first to pass out?
Had her mind cleared, making her realize what outrageous things she had done? Was she too embarrassed to face it, choosing to deliberately faint?
That possibility couldn't be ruled out. After all, this was Darkness they were talking about.
He couldn't tell if she had gotten caught up in the moment or if she had planned this, gathering her courage tonight to make her move on him.
If Darkness were conscious, he wouldn't know how to face her either.
Go with the flow, or try to talk to her about it? Either way, he wasn't sure if he could resist his impulses — he might end up damaging the group's friendship.
But he knew one thing! From today onwards, Darkness had occupied a very important position in his heart. Second only to Aqua.
Wait a minute! Why did that stupid goddess' name appear here?!
Could it be that I actually—?!
No, impossible! One shouldn't, at least shouldn't!
Shaking his dizzy head, he wondered if he'd had too much to drink — his confused mind kept drifting to thoughts of that wisdom goddess.
Time was pressing. He quickly dried the unconscious Darkness with a towel, wrapping her thoroughly in it.
With her eyes closed and peaceful, Darkness resembled a nun, her usually hidden sense of holiness fully revealed.
"Pervert." With this soft curse, he picked her up again.
After considering the bathroom door, he turned his attention to the ventilation duct.
The luxurious bathroom featured a sizeable duct. Though it would be tight carrying Darkness, they could manage. The door wasn't an option — running into Aqua or other team members would be impossible to explain.
Oh well. He'd just have to deal with it.
Even while carrying someone, he could easily jump from the second floor. He leaped from the window.
His feet landed silently.
If Elsa knew her assassination techniques were being used , would she kill him?
A night wind blew, making Adam shiver in the cool air.
Without hesitation, he crouched low and hurried to Darkness's room.
Fortunately, her room was on the outer edge of the second floor, closest to the main door.
He placed her on the bed and covered her with blankets.
"Phew..." He let out a long breath, his tension finally easing.
But in the next second, he tensed up again.
Not good! He had to get back quickly!
If he didn't return within these five minutes, that idiot Aqua would surely break down the door!
If she didn't find him bathing in there, everything would be exposed.
In his panic, Adam completely forgot about Aqua's negative intelligence — or perhaps he simply didn't want to deceive her.
He turned and ran from the room.
Reaching the spot below the bathroom, he executed a double jump, stepping on the protruding wall bricks to return through the window.
Just in time. Aqua was knocking on the bathroom door, calling his name.
"Adam, aren't you done yet? I can't wait anymore!"
"Done, done!" He quickly rinsed his dirty feet and called out, "I'm getting dressed now, I'll be right out!"
"Hurry up, I'll wait for you outside."
After she turned to leave, Adam quickly dressed and walked out.
"Aqua, I'm done bathing."
"So slow!" Aqua had grown impatient waiting outside.
Just as he'd suspected, she hadn't left — she'd been sitting outside the bathroom the whole time!
Adam asked curiously, "Aqua, weren't you drunk? I thought you'd sleep until morning."
"Yeah, I thought I'd be hungover too. But for some reason, I suddenly woke up." Aqua pondered for a moment, "After all, only pure water elements can attract me, and I came to the bathroom because of the water elements—"
Adam didn't hear the rest of what she said.
Because never before had he hated Water Element Affinity this much!
