His chest puffed out as he gazed down at the lake’s red surface, the result of battle tainting the waters that had been silver. The corpse of the Aqua Serpent-Beast floated nearby, half-immersed, its lifeless bulk sending ripples across the lake’s unnatural quiet. He plunged beneath the surface. The water enveloped him with a cool, wet slap, silencing the world above. As he went down, the reddish color grew darker the farther down he descended. The blood spot had spread downwards in lake-like ink in water, obscuring all in a red haze. Visibility plummeted almost at once. For an ordinary human, it would have been impossible to see more than a few feet away—much less swim so far down in the thick, metallic-tasting red liquid water. Underwater breathing? Impossible. But Leon was no ordinary human. He was a Master Realm cultivator. His lungs did not burn. His eyes, improved by his cultivation, cut through the darkness better than any human’s. Still, the descent wasn’t smooth. The water pushed against his body, laden with blood and the scent of violence. Every movement churned clouds of mud and blood, obscuring the already-poor visibility further. He descended steadily, allowing gravity and training to guide him. His boots eventually touched the lakebed after a few seconds. Not very deep, he calculated. Perhaps a hundred, hundred-fifty meters at most. He scanned his surroundings. Only mud and silt that moved with him. The lakebed was flat, soft, and dead. No glint. No magical heartbeat. No treasure that was apparent. His forehead creased. "System," he queried internally, eyes sweeping every square inch of the gloom. "Where is this treasure you spoke of?" The response came nearly at once. [System: Host, move five meters left. Then move four meters diagonally forward.] He obeyed the instructions readily. A couple of hard kicks, a spin of the body, and he changed position precisely as the system had told him to. His scowl grew. "System, I’m here. Where’s the item?" [System: Host, look straight under your right foot.] He looked down—just dirty dirt, lake muck and waterlogged trash. Nothing even glimmering. "System, there’s just mud down there." [System: Correction. Item is hidden. Clear away the topsoil.] Leon didn’t protest. His hands burrowed into the lakebed, shoveling away the heavy, greasy muck. He displaced layers, fingers raking through the cold dirt. There appeared a soft silvery-blue shimmer behind the soil. As yet more mud pulled apart, there stood revealed before him the whole form: an ethereal blossom, its petals glowing like the light of water in the night, hidden away beneath the bed for goodness-knows-how-long. He extricated it, gently drawing out the whole—roots and all—from the mire. Petals like a lily, curled like a rose. Its light was nearly holy, a soft glimmer emitting from its stem. The smell, even in the water, was clean and sweet—a disquieting, cleansing scent which penetrated even through the scarlet tides. Above, Leon exploded from the water—SPLASH! He splashed back onto the shore with a deep breath, shaking water out of his wet cloak. Drops sprayed out around him as he scraped wet hair back. He stood still, cupping his hand, gazing at the flower. It was more lovely in the sunlight. Silver-blue petals shone softly, dew-like liquid hanging from their tips. Its fragrance combined rose and rain, an ethereal freshness. He stared for a moment longer. and then recognition hit him. His breath was caught. "No way." he breathed. "System, is this—?" [System: Affirmative. Host has found the Silver Aqua Flower.] His eyes went wide in pure, shocked amazement. "The Silver Aqua Flower?" he breathed, almost gasping. A plant so rare, it was believed to bloom only once in 500 years—and only if certain conditions were met: a mana-thick, water-based environment, left unspoiled by humans, and in an area abundant with elemental balance. Leon knew this from the knowledge the System had given him. And this too very common knowledge in Galvia, nearly every scholar in Galvia had heard the legends, spoken in hushed tones over ancient scrolls and inebriated tavern stories. but most wrote it off as myth. "Only four were ever found in recorded history." he muttered. And now. he cradled the fifth in his palm. He spun slowly, gaze wandering toward the drifting body of the Aqua Serpent-Beast. A small smirk spread across his lips. "Appreciate the present, friend," he said quietly. He laughed; tone full of humor. "Had I known you were keeping this on the down-low, I might have resisted you a little less. mercilessly." He let out a carefree sigh. "My apologies. He stared at the cold eyes of the beast, and then he continued with sincere thanks, "But don’t worry. I’ll use what you kept safe for centuries very efficiently. You should have a nice reincarnation." Returning to the flower, Leon’s smile expanded. "This. this could change everything." Legend had it that the Silver Aqua Flower gave infinite stamina to any creature—beast or man—who ate it. It didn’t provide brute strength. It didn’t detonate your cultivation. But it did something much more unusual: It provided an unlimited store of stamina. The user would never tire. Never collapse from overexertion. Never fatigue. Not just that, it provided a slow but total regenerative baptism—curing all wounds eventually, naturally and progressively. Severe wounds, internal bleeding, ruptured muscles—all would mend in a few days. A miracle of passivity. Leon was literally shaking with enthusiasm. "This... this device could render me invincible in combat. And... heh... also in the evening." He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck with a grin that was half pride, half mischief. "To the women with me in this new life—and those yet to join me down the road," he said, voice rich with confidence, "you’ve got one tough man coming into your world." His eyes sparkled with a boyish, confident glint, the kind that could melt hearts or spark a challenge. But then, a more earnest expression came over his face. "System," Leon said, studying the flower in his hand. "What’s the procedure here? Do I eat the petals? Chew the stem? Root first? Or swallow the whole thing?" [System: Host must eat the whole flower at once.] Leon gave a quick nod. "Okay. All in one. Got it." With no fuss at all, he put the flower into his mouth and chewed down. The petals were soft and cool, with a sweetness akin to fresh spring water. The stem was crisp and had a mint-like undertone. A refreshing chill coursed through his mouth, trickling down his throat and into his belly. His body started to glow—soft shades of silver and blue illuminating his veins beneath his skin. Power resonated within him, not frenzied like a burst of mana—but intense, solid, and endlessly recyclying. A few seconds passed, and the glow disappeared. [System: Silver Aqua Flower used up.] [Integration complete.] [Stamina Pool: Infinity ∞] He glanced down at his hands and smiled. "I feel. refreshed. As if I could sprint across the continent." He clenched his fists, blood buzzing with renewed energy. "I could cast a dozen spells without rest. fight for hours without interruption. and satisfy every damn woman I encounter." Then the system beeped once more. [System: Reminder—Stamina and Energy are distinct.] Leon blinked in confusion. "Wait, what do you mean?" [System: Host now has unlimited stamina—movement, endurance, and recovery from exhaustion are now unencumbered. Useful for physical activities. and also in your nighttime activities.] Leon smirked in a wicked fashion. "That’s what I’m saying." [System: Combat, though, needs both energy and stamina. While stamina prevents you from being exhausted, magical attacks and martial arts drain energy. Once energy is out, stamina will be useless.] Leon blinked. "So I can keep running forever. but still kill if I have no energy when fighting?" [System: Right. A cultivator who has zero energy is literally an athletic corpse.] Leon groaned, smiling wryly. "You really know how to kill the mood." [System: I am programmed to guide you, not flatter you. The goal is to make you your best.] He paused, then nodded. "I get it. I’ve got to raise my cultivation to increase energy. but right now, stamina’s a damn good upgrade. He looked out at the silver forest past the lake. The distant roars of magical beasts were faint reminders of the dangers that lay ahead. He smiled, opening his system menu. "Let’s raise those Blank Points." He bought a Mortal Realm Healing Pill, swallowing it. Warmth coursed through his body, healing the worst of his injuries and restoring some energy. "Okay, my lovely Blank Points—here I come."
