Five Maids and One Devilish Smile
The light of the setting sun poured through the tall stained-glass windows, casting golden and ruby hues across the marbled corridor. Leon’s steps were soundless as he made his way down the curved staircase of his mansion. The silence of the moment was companionable, filled with the soft sigh of curtains swaying under the evening breeze.
As Leon descended the grand staircase, the soft creak of polished wood underfoot was the only sound. As Leon reached the midpoint of the stairs, he paused —his eyes locking on the scene unfolding below.
Bathed in the golden hush of the chandelier light, five maids stood in a loose circle near the corner of the living room—Fey, Mira, Mona, Lena, and Rui. Their attention was fixed inward, toward something—or captivated by something between them. They hadn’t noticed him.
Their matching uniforms hugged each curve like silk woven from midnight—tight black corsets cradled generous bosoms, short skirts barely brushing the tops of their thick — toned thighs, and dark stockings ran the length of long, shapely legs. White aprons clung uselessly at their waists, more decorative than modest.
Though they shared the same raven-black hair and dark eyes, each radiated her own unique charm. Rui stood with her sweet shyness at the edge, fiddling with the hem of her skirt. Mira, ever warm, was giggling softly, eyes sparkling. Mona exuded a quiet, sultry calm, while Lena’s sharp poise gave her a regal edge. And at the center stood Fey—fox-eyed and dangerously curvy, standing at the center like a spark waiting to ignite.
Leon’s gaze lingered, amused. They don’t even know I’m watching... he thought, lips curling into a quiet smile.
The group whispered in low, flustered tones, clearly caught in something half embarrassing, half thrilling. Cheeks pink, eyes darting, none of them could meet the others’ gaze.
Leon leaned forward slightly, his eyes narrowing with amusement. "Still shaken from earlier, incident?" he muttered, a wry smile playing at the edge of his lips.
He had shared something uniquely intimate with each of them today—small, teasing touches. Words that lingered too long. With Fey and Mira especially, the moments had tipped into something far more dangerous.
Exhaling a quiet sigh, he descended the stairs like a shadow slipping through moonlight, silent and deliberate. The maids remained huddled below, unaware of his presence, caught up in their own flustered chatter.
"Let’s see how long they last to notice me," he murmured under his breath, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Leon reached the foot of the stairs and glided past them like a panther, deliberately ignoring their presence. He crossed the room and his way to the couch—broad, velvety, blue and white —and settled himself into it without a word. The maids remained completely unaware of his arrival.
He leaned back luxuriously; one arm draped across the backrest. The white shirt he wore was loose at the collar, revealing a slice of smooth collarbone and the start of a sculpted chest. His black pants clung to his long legs, the soft fabric shimmering faintly in the light of the chandelier above.
His posture was loose, graceful, one leg crossed over the other, hand draped over the armrest.
Still, none of them noticed.
He waited a beat a little longer—just long enough, then let out a deliberate, soft cough.
Then, with devilish timing, he let out a quiet, deliberate cough.
"Ahem. My adorable maids..." Leon drawled, his voice smooth as wine, laced with amusement. "...should I be worried that you’re conspiring in the corner without me?"
The reaction was instant—and glorious.
Fey nearly dropped the ribbon she was nervously twirling. Rui yelped like a startled kitten. Mira gasped, spinning on her heel, while Mona and Lena stiffened like cadets caught slacking.
Five pairs of wide, black eyes locked onto him—then froze.
For a breathless moment, no one spoke. It was as if time had stilled.
There he was—their lord—lounging like a prince of mischief on the velvet couch, warm lamplight washing over him, the golden glow of the setting sun framing him like a halo. That teasing smirk danced on his lips, half challenge, half charm.
He chuckled softly, savoring the stunned silence.
The maids stared, hearts thudding as one.
Too handsome. Too dangerously charming.
For a single heartbeat, they froze like statues—caught in that breathless moment between awe and panic.
Leon saw it. Every flustered glance. Every unspoken thought.
Still draped across the couch like sin made flesh, he raised a brow, amused and perfectly aware. He let their silence stretch, just a beat longer, before murmuring with a lazy smirk,
"If you keep staring at me like that, I might start to think I’m some rare beast—trapped in a noble’s private collection.
"If you all continue to gaze at me like that," he murmured, "I might start to think I’m some rare beast on display in a noble’s private collection."
The spell snapped. Their faces turned crimson
Rui nearly jumped. "W-we weren’t staring!" she yelped, hands clenching at her skirt. "You’re not a beast!"
Mira waved her arms, panicked. "It’s not like that! We were just—uh—talking! Just talking!"
"My lord!" Fey squeaked, face flaming as she pressed both palms to her cheeks. "We didn’t even hear you come in!"
Mona opened her mouth—nothing came out.
Lena tried to speak—only a tiny squeak escaped.
Both ended up just nodding frantically, like dolls wound too tight, their faces redder than fire.
Leon chuckled—low, warm, and rich with amusement at their flustered reactions.
His gaze slid over each of them, calm and deliberate, a glint of fond mischief in his eyes.
"You’re all too easy to read," he murmured, voice almost affectionate.
Their blushes deepened instantly—an eruption of color blooming across cheeks, ears, even the napes of their necks. Embarrassment radiated off them in waves, only amplified by the weight of his stare. He smiled at that—slow, knowing, and far too pleased.
Then, as if salvation had struck, Rui suddenly stepped forward. "Ah—my lord! I almost forgot! The snacks! Your... um... evening tea!"
"I’ll help!" Mira added quickly, seizing the lifeline. "Come on, Rui—let’s go!"
The two bolted toward the kitchen like startled deer, skirts swishing behind them, leaving the other three frozen in place beneath Leon’s lingering gaze.
He turned back to them, eyes half-lidded, one brow arched in silent amusement. He had seen through the excuse, of course—but said nothing. Instead, his tone dipped smooth and unhurried.
"And you three?" Leon asked, turning toward the remaining maids, his voice all silk and shadow. "No excuses to run away?"
Fey stiffened. "L-Lord... I—" but her voice caught in mid-sentence.
