Steve’s brow furrowed, his shield lowering just slightly as he looked at Tony.
"You accepted their call?"
Tony shrugged, raising both hands innocently. "What? They rang. I picked up. Don’t look at me like I just invited vampires inside the house—it’s not like they hacked us. Relax."
Natasha gave him a flat look. "You didn’t think maybe letting the hostile warlord monologue wasn’t the best idea?"
"Hey," Tony countered, gesturing at the projection, "free intel. Besides, I like to see the guy’s face before we vaporize his toy."
The Kree commander’s golden eyes narrowed, clearly unimpressed by the banter. His tone dripped with disdain.
"You believe yourselves clever. Amusing. But understand this—Earth is marked. Your defiance has ensured only one outcome: extinction. The Kree Empire does not negotiate with primitives."
Dave finally stepped forward, his presence drawing every eye. His voice cut clean through the projection feed, calm and final.
"You made your mistake the second you thought Earth was weak. You brought war to our doorstep. You won’t leave with the chance to regret it."

Tony leaned back in his chair, smirking faintly. "Wow. Guy talks like a Saturday morning cartoon villain. Anyone else hearing that?"
Steve’s eyes stayed steady on the feed, calm and unwavering. "They’re stalling. Buying time."
Natasha folded her arms, her voice cool and sharp. "So do we let him finish his speech, or cut the line and act?"
Dave’s gaze never left the commander, a faint, knowing grin tugging at his lips.
"Let him speak. The more he talks, the more he shows how afraid they really are."
The Kree commander’s composure cracked, anger flashing across his face. His tone sharpened into steel.
"You will regret those words. The Empire will carve your defiance into history as a warning to all who resist."
Then the feed cut out in a snap, leaving only the sight of the warship looming near Neptune. Its weapons flared red, charging with lethal energy.
The room went still, broken only by the quiet hum of Tony’s satellites as they locked onto the incoming power surge.
Tony’s voice was steady, but edged with anticipation. "...So, I’m guessing we’re past the talking phase."
Dave’s reply came calm, almost cold.
"Good. That means it’s our turn."
The silence inside Unity Tower was unshaken, as if the coming storm beyond Neptune wasn’t even worth their concern.
The first Kree barrage lit up the void, spears of crimson energy lancing toward Earth’s orbit. But before they could close the gap, Tony flicked his wrist.
High above the atmosphere, his satellites flared to life. One by one, panels unfolded, cores spun, and the sky filled with a lattice of blue fire.
A hum rolled through the comms, rising into a thunderous pulse. Then—
Beams of pure energy tore across the void, punching through Kree missiles like paper lanterns. The enemy’s weapons detonated in premature blossoms of fire, the shockwaves scattering debris in silent bursts.
Steve didn’t even blink, his hands clasped loosely behind his back as he watched the screen. Natasha leaned against the table, her eyes cool, as if she were observing a training exercise.
Tony smirked. "That’s round one. Let’s make it interesting."
With a few taps, he fed new commands. The satellites realigned, their cores overcharging. A formation of beams locked onto the Kree warship itself.
The commander aboard barely had time to shout orders. Shields shimmered, glowing under the strain. For a heartbeat, it looked as though they’d hold—
Then Tony’s "Turbo Blaster" network fired in unison.
The blast tore through the Kree shields like wet paper. The warship shuddered, entire decks crumpling under the bombardment. Explosions rippled across its spine, venting fire and bodies into the void.
Inside Unity Tower, the team didn’t move.
Romanoff exhaled slowly, almost bored. "They should’ve brought more ships."
Dave finally spoke, his tone flat, almost dismissive."This isn’t a war. It’s a warning."
Another Kree cruiser appeared on sensors, swooping in to flank. But before its weapons even powered, Tony’s satellites adjusted, carving it apart with surgical precision.
Outside, the Kree armada was being shredded—one vessel after another collapsing under relentless orbital fire. And still, inside Unity Tower, Earth’s defenders sat calm, untouched, and unbothered.
The wreckage of the second cruiser was still drifting when silence fell over the Kree comms. For a few precious seconds, all that could be heard was static and the ragged breathing of commanders struggling to understand.
Then a new shadow crept across the void.
A massive Kree Dreadnought dropped out of hyperspace, its hull bristling with weapons, easily five times the size of the warships already destroyed. Unlike the others, this one carried layered shielding and a power core that pulsed like a living star.
Its commander’s face appeared on every available frequency, his voice booming across the Tower’s comms.
"You dare insult the Kree Empire with toys? This ends now. By my hand, your world will burn."
Tony arched an eyebrow. "Cute. He rehearsed that."
The Dreadnought wasted no time. Its frontal cannon charged, a burning orb of red energy gathering at the prow. The intensity was enough to distort the sensors, making alarms across the Tower flicker.
Steve narrowed his eyes. "That’s not a standard weapon."
"Nope," Tony replied, his fingers already flying. "That’s a planet-cracker prototype. Let’s see if my satellites like dancing."
A colossal beam of crimson fire surged toward Earth’s orbit.
For the first time, Tony’s satellites struggled—the lattice of blue shields flared under impact, humming violently as the planet-shattering energy slammed against them. Windows in Unity Tower trembled, the whole structure groaning faintly.
Shuri leaned forward, eyes sharp. "That’s... borderline unstable. If your grid fails—"
"It won’t fail," Tony cut her off, his jaw tightening. "But I’ll admit... this is the part where it gets fun."
He tapped a command, and three satellites peeled away from formation. They rotated, cores spinning faster until they glowed white-hot.
"Turbo Blaster... overdrive."
