The night passed swiftly, and the next morning came with a sense of urgency.
"They're in this town now," Black Widow mumbled as she glanced at her phone. Dave nodded, casually sipping his coffee.
The two were seated in a small, quaint restaurant, enjoying breakfast while keeping a watchful eye on Thor and his group, who were seated a short distance away.
"Yes?" Black Widow answered her phone, her tone sharp and professional. After a brief conversation, she ended the call and turned to Dave. "There's been another disturbance—same energy signature as before, like the one observed before the hammer incident."
Dave set his mug down and nodded thoughtfully. "That confirms it—there are more visitors from Asgard," he said, his eyes narrowing slightly as he pieced the puzzle together.
'It's likely Lady Sif and the Warriors Three,' Dave continued inwardly 'And if they're here, it means the Destroyer isn't far behind.'
Black Widow raised an eyebrow. "More from Asgard?"
"Thye maybe Thor friends or they can also be enemies, have your SHIELD evacuate this town," Dave explained, turning his attention back to his breakfast.
While Natasha got stunned as she relayed the information back to Phil, who nodded as he told her reinforcements are coming.
Meanwhile, back at the inn, Diana woke up groggily, rubbing her temples as last night's events replayed in her head.
"Ugh, damn it," she muttered, her cheeks turning crimson. She had drunk far too much and ended up completely wasted—and worse, she had embarrassed herself in front of Agent Natasha Romanoff.
"I was supposed to be the one fighting alongside Dave, not getting wasted like a fool," she groaned, her voice muffled as she buried her face in her hands. Looking around the room, she spotted a bucket nearby, evidence of her drunken state the night before.
Her face burned with embarrassment. "Why am I ?" she whispered to herself, gripping the bucket. She peeked out the window cautiously, not daring to step out yet, especially with Dave and Natasha likely discussing serious matters.
"I'll just wait until they're busy before I go out," Diana decided, sitting back down and silently vowing to redeem herself.
"They match the description," Natasha suddenly said, her sharp gaze fixed out the window. She had spotted four individuals dressed in clothing reminiscent of Knights like clothing, walking calmly through the deserted streets.
It had been an hour since Dave informed her about the imminent conflict. The town had been evacuated, leaving only Thor, Dr. Selvig, Jane, and another figure who had been with them-Darcy Lewis. The rest of the area was now swarming with agents, prepared for whatever was coming. Even Hawkeye had been stationed nearby, perched on a high vantage point with his bow ready.
"That's them," Natasha confirmed, her voice steady but tense. She could feel the weight of the situation building as the Asgardian visitors moved closer to Thor's location.
Dave leaned back in his chair, seemingly unfazed. "Lady Sif and the Warriors Three," he said calmly, finishing the last sip of his coffee. "Looks like the reunion is about to happen."
"Should we intercept?" Natasha asked, her hand instinctively brushing the firearm holstered at her side.
Dave shook his head, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "No need. Let them reach Thor. Things are about to get... interesting," he said, standing up and stretching as if preparing for a casual stroll.
Natasha studied him for a moment, trying to gauge his intentions. "You really enjoy watching chaos unfold, don't you?" she said dryly.
Dave chuckled. "Not chaos—opportunities," he corrected. Then he glanced at her. "Stay sharp, Widow. The real show hasn't even started yet."
As Natasha turned back to the window, she noticed the four visitors moving towards Thor location, "Be ready, we don't know if they are friends or enemies" she said as Every agent was ready for the conflict.
Sif and the Warriors Three continued their approach, standing just outside the large glass doors. The weight of the moment was palpable as they prepared to confront Thor.
"Hey Thor, we're here!" Volstagg's excited voice rang out.
Thor slowly turned at the sound, his eyes lighting up as he saw his old friends standing there. "Ah, my friends," he said with a wide grin, recognizing them instantly. He stepped forward to meet them, examining each of them one by one.
Dr. Selvig, who had been sipping his mug, froze when he saw the four figures at the door. A sense of realization crossed his face, and he put his mug down. "So... this is the reality? Thor's form is not from myth, but they're real. And they're here," he mumbled under his breath.
Jane looked at them, her eyes wide in disbelief. "Are they really... from Asgard?" she asked, unsure whether she was seeing things correctly.
Darcy Lewis also wondered if she is dreaming or not, for her Thor ws nothing but an Drug addict who is now in his delusions yet people from Asgard are relay here.
"They're my friends," Thor answered, giving her a reassuring smile. "Sif and the Warriors Three," he said, introducing his Asgardian companions to the humans in the room.
Sif and the others nodded and greeted Thor's new companions. "It's good to meet you," she said, looking at Dr. Selvig, Jane, and Lewis.
"This is Jane," Thor introduced her, "and this is Lewis," he added, pointing to the two.
"But..But why are you guys here?" Thor asked as he said "you shouldn't be here" he added.
Volstagg gave them all a hearty wave. "We've come to bring you back, Thor."
Thor's expression grew darker as he heard this. "Back?" he repeated quietly. "After everything that's happened, after I killed my own father... I can't go back."
Sif, looking at him with concern, responded, "Your father lives, Lord Odin Lives, Thor. Who told you he is dead?"
Thor turned away for a moment, his face hardening. "Loki... he told me. I believed him," he said, his voice betraying a deep pain.
"No," Sif said firmly. "Loki lies, Thor. He wants nothing but to manipulate you. Your father lives, and you have not killed anyone."
