Finally, they arrived at the unassuming gateway to Kamar-Taj. Dave stepped out first and extended a hand to Hancock. She hesitated for a moment, looking at the seemingly ordinary entrance before taking his hand.
"This is it?" she asked skeptically.
Dave smirked. "Don't judge a book by its cover."
As they entered, a hooded figure stepped forward to greet them.
"Welcome to Kamar-Taj," the figure said, bowing slightly.
Dave returned the gesture. "I'm here to learn. The Ancient One invited me."
The figure nodded and gestured for them to follow. Hancock stayed close to Dave, her posture tense as she walked.
It's all his fault, she thought as her lower region ached with every step.
As they walked through the halls, the ambient energy of the place became palpable. Hancock paused, looking around as if she could sense the power radiating from the walls.
"This place... it's alive," she whispered.
"Not alive, but full of magic, making it seem like it," a familiar voice corrected.
Dave and Hancock turned to see the Ancient One herself standing at the end of the corridor, her face adorned with a smile as she looked at them.
"Welcome back, Dave. And I see you've brought a guest," she said, her gaze settling on Hancock.
"She's here to learn too," Dave explained, stepping forward. "I'm here to learn too, like you offered."
The Ancient One smiled faintly. "Very well. Let us begin."
"The knowledge at Kamar-Taj is for everyone, but some knowledge is too profound for you to understand until you're ready," she said as she passed them two rings.
"These are called Slings," she continued. "Some spells are so powerful that they need a medium to be used."
"This Sling will allow you to cast highly-used spells like the Eldritch Gate and give you access to the Mirror Dimension," she explained as Dave nodded, while Hancock inspected the ring.
"Now, that is your first test," she said, leading them further.
"You just need to visualize the place you want to be, and while wearing the ring, make a circular motion with your hands. The ring will automatically channel the magic, and you both need to focus on the magic meditation as the spell works," she explained.
"Begin," she said, as Dave looked ahead, lifting his hand. He closed his eyes and began to move his hand. In just one go, he created a gate back to his room.
"That was easy," Dave said, smiling.
"Your talent in magical arts is really great," the Ancient One said, directing her gaze to Hancock.
"I can sense that the destination you're imagining is too vast. You won't be able to conjure the gate ," the Ancient One said as Dave looked at her, his mind racing. It seems she's trying to make a portal to the One Piece world, he thought.
Boa Hancock nodded as she took a deep breath and moved her hands. This time, there was a spark before it vanished.
"That was good for a first try," the Ancient One said, encouraging her to continue.
"Master Wong," she called.
Wong appeared, and Dave looked at him. It was the same heavyset man as in the movie.
"Take him to the library and teach him," the Ancient One instructed, and Wong nodded.
"Your talent is great; it doesn't need supervision. You can learn on your own," she said to Dave, then continued, "But she will need supervision," pointing at Boa Hancock.
Dave nodded again. "Please take care of her," he said, as he handed over his trust.
"I will," she replied.
"Hello," he greeted Wong, who nodded back and said, "Looks like you're under me from now on."
Dave smiled. "Seems like it," he said as Wong laughed.
"It's good, as long as you're not under that guy," Wong said, nodding towards another teacher who was disciplining his students rather harshly. "His methods are too extreme," he added.
Dave nodded in agreement, as the spar looked more like an one sided beating.
Soon, they arrived at the library, just as described in the movie—a massive space filled with rows of shelves and countless books. At the back, there was another shelf with books chained to it.
Seeing Dave eyeing the chained books, Wong spoke. "Only those who are truly ready can see these books, as they contain knowledge so powerful that it can corrupt an untrained mind," he said. Dave nodded, understanding the weight of the warning.
"I saw you creating the Eldritch Gate easily. Why not try another spell?" Wong asked, handing him a book. Dave took it and opened it to reveal a spell titled Sword of Vishanti.
"Huh? This seems powerful," Dave remarked.
Wong nodded. "It is powerful, but less complex than the Eldritch Gate."
Dave studied the spell carefully. After a moment, he closed the book, chanted the incantation, and focused on the sword. To his surprise, a sword materialized in his hand. Unlike the glowing, ethereal quality of the Eldritch Gate, this sword had a reddish-black aura that pulsed ominously.
"It's similar in shape, but much more destructive," Wong noted as he observed the sword. Dave nodded thoughtfully, wondering if his demonic energy had somehow fused with the spell's power, adding an unpredictable element to its strength.
I am pretty sure Ancient one told you this, but you are damm talented, where were you up until now?" Wong asked seeing the sword as Dave just smiled.
he waved the sword as eh compared it with his Devil Sword Dante, 'it seems more powerful than it' he thought as he saw the sword slicing through the air easily, though his eyes also saw it slicing through the magic present in air, something Devil Sword Dante can't do.
'It's like it has Anti-magic property' he mumbled as he was reminded of his Third template, it arrive the moment he reached 100% in Whitebeard template after slaughtering Celestial Dragons.
It was an template he never thought he would get, and it's from the Overgeared world but the mission is not for this world but in another world, and the another world is Supreme magus.
