When Qing Feng saw Ye Qian arrive he hurriedly rushed over to welcome him. He chuckled sheepishly then said, “Boss, you’ve come.”
Ye Qian gave him a look and then asked in surprise, “Weren’t you in Burma? When did you get here?”
“Just last night. I was no help there anyway, you know I’m not interested in those kinds of things. This kind of life suits me better.” Qing Feng said. “Besides, Jack called me and said he lacked manpower and that he needed some help with the daily training, so I came. Then… Boss, you won’t make me leave, will you?”
Ye Qian shook his head helplessly, “Since you’re already here, and this place really could use help.”
Qing Feng grinned and said, “I knew Boss would be reasonable. Come, a kiss!” After speaking he moved close to Ye Qian, as if he were really going to give him a kiss on the cheek.
Ye Qian quickly blocked him with a hand and said, “Gay, I’m not gay. Where’s Jack? I have business with him.”
Qing Feng chuckled and said, “They’re inside, I’ll take you to them.”
After saying this he lead Ye Qian inside. When they passed by the cadets, Qing Feng swept a look over them and said in a severe manner, “Attention, everybody, military posture training for one hour.”
The recruits looked a little like they felt it was intolerable. Above them was the scorching sun, their foreheads were already beaded with sweat. But they did not utter a word and continued to stand very straight.
Ye Qian couldn’t help smiling bitterly. This guy’s display of toughness was not ordinary. But even though Qing Feng was a somewhat ostentatious, most of the time he was like a child, but in front of serious situations he was not negligent. Ye Qian had a lot of confidence in him.
Inside the office, Jack, Mo Long and Wu Huan Feng were seated inside, a set of gongfu tea in front of them. The tea in the cup was very strong and hot. When they saw Ye Qian enter, the three of them hurriedly stood up and greeted, “Boss!”
Ye Qian nodded faintly and took a seat on the sofa. “Everybody sit. Jack, I’ve troubled you. This place took a lot of effort.”
“This is my job, it was no trouble.” Jack said.
Ye Qian nodded and turned to Wu Huan Feng and asked in surprise, “Huan Feng, shouldn’t you be with Ran-jie? Right now Shanghai seems calm on the surface but underneath the waves are surging, you have to protect Ran-jie.”
“Ran-jie went to the office at dawn and said she’d be there all day so she made me leave. I think she won’t encounter any trouble in the office, so I came here to look around.” Wu Huan Feng said.
Of course Ye Qian understood Wu Huan Feng’s sincerity and did not blame him, he had just asked without thinking. There weren’t many people who could harm Song Ran, even without Wu Huan Feng around, after all, she used to be an assassin from the Dark Lily. Even though she hadn’t used her skills in years, a lean camel is bigger than a horse, ordinary people could not harm her.
“Any news of the Qing Gang’s movements?” Ye Qian asked.
“Right now no, but I heard that Situ Liren has been kicked out of the Qing Gang.” Mo Long said.
“Oh?” Ye Qian couldn’t help gawking, then asked in surprise, “Situ Liren’s been kicked out? Why?”
“I’m not sure. But last night when I returned to the Bewitched Bar, Situ Liren was being punished by members of the QIng Gang, and then they drove him out.” Mo Long said.
Ye Qian knitted his brows involuntarily, he couldn’t understand the Qing Gang’s motives behind this. Even though Situ Liren was in the wrong, Ye Qian had stomped on their face, it wasn’t likely that they would let him off so easily, or else where could the Qing Gang stand in the future? Ye Qian inwardly felt that the captain of the Qing Gang was no simple person, he could be a very difficult character. “Mo Long, you did well.” Ye Qian said.
“Boss, we’ve noted that Wei Dong Xiang is currently making very big moves. He’s hired the Black Falcon Mercenaries from Europe, about a ten or more men. I’m convinced that they are going to do something big.” Jack said.
“The Black Falcon Mercenaires? Falcon John’s men?” Ye Qian said.
“Correct. But Falcon John himself isn’t among them.” Jack said.
“The Black Falcon Mercenaries don’t have any skill, and they aren’t a big name in the mercenary world, but Falcon John is an extraordinary man. He used to be a lieutenant commander of the Special Reconnaissance Regiment of the United Kingdom. He’s participated in the United Nations Peacekeeping Army and the NATO military operation against Afghanistan. He has a lot of experience in battle. His own combat capabilities if very strong but he is somewhat lacking in leadership capabilities.” Ye Qian said slowly. “Jack, continue to pay attention to Wei Dong Xiang and the Black Eagle Mercenaries. But don’t expose our identity. I want to see what their plan is.”
“Understood, boss!” Jack said.
Ye Qian nodded and continued, “Oh yeah, Jack, make a table detailing the plans for the expansion of the company. I’m going to see Shanghai’s municipal committee secretary Wang Ping tonight. I want our the Ironblood Security Firm’s front-facing business to expand all over Shanghai.”
“Tonight?” Jack said with some surprise.
“What? Is there a problem?” Ye Qian said.
“No! Even though it’s kind of sudden, I believe I can get it done by tonight.” Jack said.
Ye Qian nodded in satisfaction, then continued, “Also, Jack, have somebody investigate the Qing Gang, Hongmen and Dong Xiang Corporation thoroughly. I want information on all of their members, the more detailed the better.”
“This will take some time!” Jack said.
“Don’t worry. Just get the information on high ranking members, as well as a detailed list of those people in government they have relations with. This will be very useful to us in the future.” Ye Qian said.
“I understand what to do, boss.” Jack said.
Ye Qian smiled faintly, he had no doubts about Jack’s ability to do things. “So? We haven’t swapped pointers in a long time. Interested? Everybody want to go out and practice?” Ye Qian smiled lightly and said.
