His sister was now living with—probably could be considered living with—Jiu’er, so bringing Jiu’er online with her was somewhat within Simo’s expectations.
...But he remembered Jiu’er as a rather quiet young lady.
She spoke in a soft, tender voice, gentle and sticky...and supposedly very timid, crying out for help when caught. She clearly wasn’t the same type as his sister.
"Hello, Brother Simo."
Jiu’er greeted Simo with a polite bow.
However, seeing Jiu’er with both hands carrying an axe taller than herself and splattered with blood, Simo couldn’t help but shudder.

"You should thank your brother.
Lin Yiyi said irritably, "I thought you spent so much time creating your character... But then I checked the forum and saw your brother posted, asking if someone sneaking into Gerald’s dental clinic was you—I looked at the screenshot and sure enough, it was."
"A forum? There’s a forum too?"
Simo caught on to something, "Wait...we can’t go into that dental clinic?"
Lin Yiyi knew what he was thinking and let him down directly, "You’ll probably have to finish the first mainline quest before you can access the forum feature.
"As for that dental clinic... it’s our bait for fishing."

Suddenly, his eyes lit up, "Sis, since you’re here... how about taking me along? I can’t die in this mission, if I do, you might really lose a brother..."
"...Your quest doesn’t allow for resurrection?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Yiyi and Jiu’er’s expressions turned serious as they asked.
Simo paused for a moment, then confirmed, "Yes, the quest says I need to meet Annan Winter before I can resurrect."
"Just like Sister Wen Xue."

"When we decided to log on to rescue you, we knew we wouldn’t have time for dinner tonight. Since we’re here already, might as well help you with your mission, right?"
Lin Yiyi sighed and added, "So we called Wen Xue over to eat something quickly and get online.
"Bringing one person or two makes no difference—I’m heading to Frostwater Harbor tomorrow, and the day after I come back Jiu’er will go. It just so happens I’m free today, so I can take you both through your beginner missions."
"What about... Wen Xue?"
Four of a kind inquired.

"My main mission is to either assassinate or drive insane several people in No. 37 Xiushui Street as a form of retaliation," Xitan Pulan said calmly. "Come nightfall, my abilities might be useful. And our missions do not conflict.
"We combine our strengths—first, we complete your mission, then we do mine."
Xitan Pulan stated steadily.
Four of a kind remained silent for a while, then a confident smile spread across his face.
If it weren’t for the bruise caused by being kicked in the face lessening that confidence...
"We’ll see who’s helping whom," he retorted.
He extended his hand to Xitan Pulan and introduced himself, "Four of a kind. People call me Brother Ke. I’m a sophomore. You can call me Ah Ke or just Ke."
"Xitan Pulan, real name Wen Xue."
Xitan Pulan took Four of a kind’s hand and replied steadily, "I’m a doctor... an intern."
"That’s awesome, Doctor," Four of a kind praised, "Next time I’m sick, I’ll come to you for treatment, Sister Wen!"
"I’m afraid that won’t work."
Lin Yiyi interjected.
Four of a kind protested discontentedly, "Sis, why do you have to be in everything! I’m talking to Sister Wen here!"
"Because I work at the Shen City Mental Health Center."
Xitan Pulan lifted the corners of her eyes with a sly smile, "I don’t think you would want to come there."
