Chapter 235: Chapter 133: Sinister Intentions
Through the hole in the tent, augmented by the Drone Quantum Radar’s scanning and powerful sound-collecting capabilities, the real-time image inside that tent suddenly appeared before Yan Fei’s eyes.
In this tent, there were a total of nine people. Two of them were bearded Arab men wearing red helmets, and three were ragged, masked militants. Since their faces were covered, their physical features were obscured. Opposite them sat two Caucasian men, and next to the Caucasians was an average-looking, middle-aged man dressed in a tight black robe.
They were seated together, apparently discussing something.
One of the men wearing a red helmet spoke up first, “Mr. James, I must reiterate, all of the Red Helmets’ actions were conducted under the supervision of your arranged personnel, we have followed your commands to the letter. So even if our attempt to frame the Syrian government forces was uncovered, it is not our fault, but entirely due to a misstep in your command. So you can’t abandon us , you must take responsibility for our safety.”
The Caucasian man named James angrily responded, “Our intelligence operatives are only responsible for planning the operations; the actual execution is entirely your people’s doing. It’s your people’s carelessness that left so many loopholes for Syria and Russia to exploit, exposing the true face of your Red Helmets. To assist you in completing the tasks, we even employed a famous Hollywood screenwriter to plan for you, yet you not only fail to reflect on your actions but also have the gall to blame us first!”
The Red Helmet said, “I don’t care, we Red Helmets are now in a desperate situation, about to be captured by the Syrian government forces. If you Americans do not rescue us, once we are arrested, we will confess all our behind-the-scenes dealings with you, letting the world see the true face of The United States of America. Even if our entire force is wiped out, we won’t let you get away with this.”
James looked very angry, as if wanting to turn hostile. The other Caucasian man quickly calmed him down, saying, “You Red Helmets are our allies and close partners of The United States of America, we don’t have a tradition of abandoning our allies. So, rest assured, we will surely make our case through the International Community to call on Syria and Russia to grant you a way out. Then you and your families can move to any country you desire and live a happy life.”
The Red Helmet said, “General Lynch, that’s the attitude that allies should have toward each other. We helped you Americans tarnish the government forces, allowing you to use the topic of chemical weapons as a pretext to launch a military strike against the Syrian government forces to achieve your political goals, and we have paid a heavy price. Now, the Syrian government forces hate us to the bone, branding us as traitors. Once captured by the government forces, we will immediately be executed. Since you are willing to help us escape with our lives, you indeed are our close allies, and we should be thankful to you.”
The Caucasian man named Lynch, who turned out to be a general of the US Forces, was there on a special operation and was not wearing a military uniform or carrying any rank insignia. He said, “We can work with the International Community to relocate your families to Europe and the Americas. But before you leave, you must do one last thing for us. If you accomplish this task, not only will we ensure that your families enjoy a good life in Europe and the Americas, but we will also give each of the main leaders among you a substantial bonus of ten million US Dollars each.”
The Red Helmet perked up immediately and asked, “Dear General Lynch, may I ask what it is you would like us to do for you?”
Lynch gestured toward the direction outside the tent, saying, “In one of the transport vehicles outside, there is a very terrifying load of chemical weapons. I hope you can detonate these chemical weapons in one of the densely populated cities of Syria, then capture the damage caused by the chemical weapons on video and send it to us. This will be a genuine chemical weapon attack, with death and injuries all real, so there won’t be any holes or faults for others to exploit. If you can just do this, we will fulfill our promises, safely relocating all of you and your families, as well as ensuring you possess endless glory and wealth.”
The Red Helmet, without any hesitation, replied, “General Lynch, we Red Helmets will handle it.”
James then reminded them from the side, “Aren’t you going to think it over some more? You should know that those are unique chemical weapons of Russia, and if released, a lot of people will die. Even those lucky enough to survive will be left permanently disabled. All those victims are your compatriots…”
The Red Helmet instantly retorted, “No, Mr. James, those people are not our compatriots. Our compatriots are those who have already emigrated to the West in pursuit of Democracy and freedom. So, the more of those foolish people that die within Syria, the less aid they can offer to that dictator, and in fact, we are assisting the cause of truth in purifying this world.”
Lynch said, “If that’s the case, then go out and get your people ready to receive this batch of chemical weapons, and go complete the task! Mr. James will be by your side, helping you with strategies and planning, including your escape route after the task is complete. He will inform you at all times.”
