Yang Liu burst into loud laughter, “Yan Fei, you really don’t see the big picture. Whether Weight Loss Cookies are in your hands or mine makes no difference to the real higher-ups in China; the only difference is who holds the control. You may have feelings for our country and have made many contributions, but some of the higher-ups are wary of where your technology comes from, so they’d feel more at ease with the technology in my hands. And by coming out so early, aren’t you afraid I’ll suspect that you orchestrated this whole situation, that I will refuse your terms and seek cooperation with someone else? You should know how much I dislike you; I might just choose another.”

On the surface, your company has the ability to repay the debt, and helping you would bring them huge benefits—it’s a win-win deal that should benefit both sides. So why do they refuse? Yan Fei looked at Yang Liu and said, “Do we even need to think about the reasons? Isn’t it because you are the one causing trouble behind the scenes? Without their help, I have no choice but to submit to your terms. You’ve made sure of it. I believe you’ve done extensive groundwork, and even if someone else could help me, they won’t. So now, you are the only option I have, right?”
Yang Liu nodded, “I didn’t expect you to see through everything. It seems you’re not that foolish. To obtain Dream Foods, I did indeed pay a hefty price.”
Yan Fei shook his head, “You truly live up to your reputation as the ruthless man, Yang Liu. To achieve your goal, you’re probably ready to share the Weight Loss Cookies with other forces, right? If I’m not mistaken, Green Fir Capital will definitely hold a large share in the new company. That must be their basis for cooperation with you.”

Green Fir Capital and other forces will acquire shares in the new company. Green Fir Capital will even hold 40% of the shares.”

But once you take over, you’re giving away at least 40% of the profits, letting foreigners gain. Yang Liu: “With Weight Loss Cookies in your hands, you could never unlock their full potential. Once we acquire them, we will immediately break into the international market. Yan Fei closed the file on the table and said, “Deal, I accept your terms.”
Yang Liu was taken aback, then after a pause he said, “I thought you’d hesitate, but you agreed so readily. It seems Lu Pingping holds a high position in your heart.”
Yan Fei replied coldly, “My relationship with Lu Pingping is none of your business. I can accept your terms, but the formal signing of the contract should be postponed to tomorrow night at 8 o’clock.”
Yang Liu suddenly laughed, “Yan Fei, you still hold out hope, thinking that by tomorrow night at 8 the Municipal Government will decide to help you? Or that you’ll be able to rescue Lu Pingping by then? Or are you expecting some sort of turnaround?”
Yan Fei said coldly, “This is my only condition. If you agree, wait; if not, get lost.”
Yang Liu stood up and said, “Fine, I’ll give you this chance. Tomorrow night at 8, I will sign the agreement with you in front of the Television media here. Once the agreement is signed, the 3.5 billion US dollars will be transferred immediately, so you can save Lu Pingping, and the remaining money will be enough for you to squander for a lifetime.”
After saying that, Yang Liu walked out of the conference room.
