Along the road, Yan Fei and Wen Rou spent day and night together, their affections for each other growing rapidly. Before, Yan Fei had to use tricks just to hold Wen Rou’s hand, but now he could finally hold it for real. Wen Rou also revealed her true self to Yan Fei, allowing him to see who she truly was.
The two young people attracted each other and began to fall into the torment and sweetness of love. As neither of them had much experience with relationships, even though they knew of the other’s interest, they didn’t know how to proceed, thus stood at an impasse, waiting for the right moment. Aside from this, they seemed no different from any other couple in love.

Riding in a tour bus through towering mountains, they didn’t arrive at their destination—the hidden Dai Ethnic Village in the mountain stronghold—until the afternoon. This Dai village was very primitive, and such untouched ethnic strongholds were becoming increasingly rare in today’s advancing human Civilizations. They could only be found in the deep mountains of Yunnan.
With the guide’s introduction, Yan Fei and Wen Rou curiously explored the Dai Ethnic Village. The customs were quite unusual, very different from anything they had experienced. During their visit, the Dai villagers held a wedding ceremony demonstration, choosing Yan Fei and Wen Rou to play the bride and groom.
Yan Fei and Wen Rou, their faces flushed, rehearsed the Dai wedding ceremony guided by the villagers. During the ceremony, they stole glances at one another, feeling their hearts race and becoming even more bashful.
In the evening, after enjoying a very distinctive Dai feast, the Dai clansmen organized a Bonfire Night Party, where everyone had a great time. Even Yan Fei let go of all his worries, joyfully indulging in the journey to the Dai homeland.
In the end, Yan Fei escorted Wen Rou back to her room to rest. Wen Rou didn’t dare to speak the entire way, and Yan Fei, watching her embarrassed disposition, felt a stir in his heart. But Wen Rou remained silent, so he reluctantly left without overstepping and returned to his own room.
At night, Yan Fei lay in bed, restless and unable to sleep. He tossed and turned until past one o’clock in the morning before he finally fell into a deep slumber.
