"The food here may seem ordinary, but if you want to eat good food, this is the place to do it!"
Briar Henderson entered like an old hand, flirting with a beautiful lady boss, causing Peter Brown to stare in astonishment.
Edward Martin chuckled, "This rascal is always !"
"Remember not to order any protected animals, we could get in trouble," said Peter Brown, always law-abiding, warned with some concern.
Edward simply laughed and replied, "Don’t worry, no one dares mess with us."
Peter Brown was speechless.
At this point, Briar Henderson came back in from outside and said, "Everything is set."
After they sat down, Edward Martin laughed and said, "Bring out the wine I stored here, we’ll drink that today."
Briar added, "That wine is really good. Peter, Edward said you came up with it. How did you do it, and why didn’t you save me an agency or something?"
Peter turned to Edward and said, "I didn’t expect it to be such a hit. The agency rights got snatched up by everyone almost immediately."
"They were in such high demand?" Briar looked surprised. He had only mentioned it to curry favor with Edward. He didn’t think that Peter would tell him the agency rights were all gone, which astonished him.
Edward praised, "Your wine is definitely good. I’m telling you, my father gave some to his old leader to drink, and he even got better from his illness, haha."
It was apparent from the conversation that Edward was genuinely pleased; he was enjoying a lot of popularity at home.
Briar started to look a bit restless. He turned to Peter and asked, "About the dealership deal?"
Edward chuckled bitterly, "My cousin, Phoenix, is likely to handle the next step. I think she will make some changes after hearing that all the dealerships were taken."
When Briar heard that Phoenix would be involved, his face twitched and he stopped talking about it.
Soon, the food that was served caused Peter’s face to twitch as well. If he wasn’t eating with these two privileged individuals, he would not dare to eat such things. After some thought, Peter decided not to care, after all, everyone else was eating, why should he not?
After taking a few bites, Peter shook his head and said, "This is really just a curiosity. This food is not nutritious. When you two come over to my place, I will invite you to have some real, nutritious food."
At this, Edward roared with laughter, "That’s fine, we can never refuse your food."
After a few more drinks, Briar turned to Peter and said, "Edward told me about how you caught a ghost last time. Is that a real or a pretend story? It sounded real."
Peter smiled but said nothing.
Edward could not tolerate this and raised his voice, "You ignorant child! When have I ever spoken falsely?"
"I simply don’t believe it. How can there be ghosts in this world?"
Edward was irritated when he saw Briar being incredulous and turned to Peter and said, "Peter, you mentioned that you encountered a ghost on the road today. Was it true?"
Peter was also quite drunk and laughed, "Just because you can’t see them, it does not mean they are not there. There are quite a few of them in this world."
Briar rolled his eyes and muttered: "I don’t believe your stories. Such things don’t exist."
"Peter, show it to him and let him see for himself!"
Everyone was quite drunk, and Edward and Briar started to go head to head.
Seeing Briar , Peter hesitated and said, "I can show you, but I’m afraid you might not be able to sleep."
"Rubbish, quit talking and if you can show me, I’ll give you an SUV."
Edward looked at Peter and said: "Peter, are you going to reject a free car? Say nothing of it, let him gift you a Mercedes-Benz!"
Peter just smiled and said, "There’s no need to give a car. Showing you can be done, but I’m afraid it might scare you too much."
"I bet! Just a Mercedes-Benz, as long as you can show me, I’ll give you one worth about 2 million!"
This guy really is rich!
Upon hearing Briar wanting to bet, Peter looked at Edward.
Edward laughed, "You fool, a car worth two million will probably be reduced by half or even for free. Peter, bet with him, you need to buy a car anyway, can’t go without one."
Peter shook his head and said, "Alright then, I’ll show you."
When he heard that Peter was going to bet, Briar said, "I won’t bet you anything. If you lose, just give me some distributorships."
Seeing that Peter had agreed to bet, Briar stopped eating and said loudly: "Where to? Let’s go!"
Peter thought for a moment and said, "There are often fatalities on the road, especially on highways. You just haven’t seen it yet. We can drive back while watching."
During the conversation, Peter somehow produced some leaves. Then he picked some leaves by the road. When he crushed these leaves with his hands and turned them into juice, he looked at the two of them and asked, "You really want to see?"
Briar had been drinking and was reddish now. He said it out loud.
"Then I’ll drive. You guys just focus on watching."
After finishing speaking, Peter let them apply the leaf juice to their eyes.
After the two applied it, Briar looked around and said, "There’s no difference."
Peter laughed, "Okay, let’s get in the car."
This time Peter drove much slower.
Throughout the journey, the two kept looking outside. After a while, Briar laughed and said, "I knew it was all supposed to scare us. How can there be ghostly beings in this world?"
Just as he finished speaking, Peter said, "Look ahead."
As soon as they heard Peter say to look ahead, both of them immediately cast their gazes forward.
To their surprise, they saw a woman in a red dress standing in the middle of the road.
When Briar saw this woman, he shouted at Peter.
However, to Briar’s surprise, Peter drove straight into her and passed right through.
The alcohol fog in Briar’s mind was swept away in an instant. His eyes were wide open and he quickly looked back.
Edward was sitting in the front passenger seat, and he was also startled by Peter hitting a person. He was stunned.
"You... you... you hit someone..."
Peter laughed and said, "What I’ve hit was a ghost. It is sitting next to you."
Upon hearing this, the two quickly turned and saw a face covered with blood looking at them.
Two screams echoed out, both of them were completely frightened.
At this point, Briar didn’t know what to do with himself and his body was shaking.
Edward, even though he had seen Peter catching ghosts, was still shaking in fear at the sight of this ghost woman.
