Surprisingly, Peter Brown became the center of attention. With a wry smile, he said, "I’m sorry, but I really don’t know about Bright Rise Group."
Peter was telling the truth. He might have known about the wealthiest man in the province, Javier Carter of the Luca Clan, but he genuinely didn’t know about the Bright Rise Group.
While Peter was telling the truth, Mason Reed, who was in the middle of bragging, didn’t appreciate his remark. Mason brought up his father and the Bright Rise Group to impress the attractive teacher and let the female students know he was a second-generation rich. His plan was to flirt with girls at school.
As he was bragging, someone claimed they didn’t know about the Bright Rise Group. To Mason, it seemed like a deliberate attempt to embarrass him. This was an attack on him!
Mason couldn’t think about anything else. In his mind, Peter intended to make him look bad, which was unbearable.
"You said you don’t know about the Bright Rise Group?" Mason couldn’t help asking loudly in front of the class.
Reluctantly, Peter nodded. "I really don’t know."
Mason glared at Peter angrily.
It was clear that Peter had offended Mason.
So far, Peter couldn’t figure out how a single statement had offended someone. He wasn’t afraid of Mason, though.
At this point, Ella Johnson looked at Peter with a smile. "Which student are you?" There was no special emotion in her eyes.
"My name is Peter Brown. I come from a farming background."
Peter didn’t conceal his identity, sharing it outright. He didn’t think too much about it and spoke naturally.
Mason snorted when Peter mentioned his background as a farmer. In Mason’s mind, he had revealed his wealthy background, while Peter purposely used his farmer identity against him.
Neke Armstrong gave Peter a thumbs up quietly, "Awesome, well done!"
Several male students in the class were also unhappy with Mason’s habit of showing off his father’s wealth. They were pleased to see someone stand up against Mason.
Fellow students began to think Peter was targeting Mason.
After introducing himself, Peter sat down. Neke whispered with a smile, "Peter, awesome! You outshone Mason right away. I didn’t expect you to be so assertive. Even the teacher looked at you differently. If I’d known, I’d have stood up against that kid myself."
"I genuinely don’t know about the Bright Rise Group. I only know that there’s a provincial richest man named Javier Carter."
Neke looked at Peter with wide eyes, "You really don’t know about Bright Rise Group?"
Neke smacked his forehead, "Damn!"
"Although Bright Rise Group is not an old company, it’s quite powerful right now. They were the title sponsor for this year’s Central Television’s Spring Festival Gala. After advertising, their wine became very popular nationwide. It is said that the chairman of Bright Rise Group will surpass Javier Carter in wealth this year."
It was a wine company after all!
Finally, Peter learned what kind of company Bright Rise Group was.
Seeing Peter shake his head, Neke continued, "If that kid really is the son of Joaquin Thompson, we can’t underestimate him. Bright Rise Group is quite prominent right now, no wonder he uses his father’s name to woo girls!"

Peter even felt that if Mason was elected class president, he could handle many things for the class.
After listening to Mason, Peter thought he might vote for him. Having someone like him could benefit the class.
"Peter Brown, go and compete with him. Just because he has money doesn’t mean he’s special. I think he’s bluffing, offering empty promises. He won’t be able to deliver!"
Neke, who couldn’t stand Mason, also jumped onto the stage to give a speech.
Neke also came from a wealthy family and talked about the benefits just as Mason did, promising all the same things Mason had.
Afterwards, Peter found it amusing that several wealthy families’ children went up on stage and promised the same benefits as Mason.
Once everyone had given their speeches, Ella Johnson looked at Peter, "Anyone else for speeches?" She noticed Peter hadn’t gone up and purposely asked.
Peter pretended not to see her glance, "I think that’s all."
Smiling, Ella said, "It’s good to see everyone so enthusiastic. This shows you care about the class. After the self-introductions and speeches, I believe you all have a better understanding of each other. Now I’ll give you a sheet of paper. Write down your class committee candidates, but remember, you can only choose one person for each position."
As she said this, she handed Peter the stack of forms, "Peter Brown, help me distribute these."
Peter saw that the forms were already printed, with only the names left blank. He took them and started distributing the forms to the class.
After Peter had handed out the forms, Ella said, "Okay, now write down your candidates."
The students quietly discussed among themselves, and those who had given speeches seemed nervous.
Ella quickly selected a few girls to help count the votes on stage while keeping track of the results on the blackboard.
