Prince Christopher Carter, who was still in a coma, was brought forward again. Everyone watched his unresponsive state deteriorate further, his life force rapidly slipping away. His loyal followers had already started forming a protective ring around him.
Addressing Peter, Cabral threatened, "If anything happens to my brother, your life is at stake!"
Arrogance oozed from his words. Peter shot back, "Watch yourself, kid. This is Hua Nation’s territory. You step out of line, and I’ll square up to you!"
This time, the whole power of Peter’s True Qi was channeled into his glare. The aggressive Cabral was startled into silence. Although he didn’t understand what Peter had said, he knew Peter was threatening him.
The translator was also taken aback and, after hesitating for a moment, decided not to translate Peter’s threat.
Everyone from Hua Nation turned to Peter. They were impressed with his boldness. What a character this young man showed!
Dael Smith took a complicated look at Peter, also deeply shaken by his words.
Two foreigners had understood Peter’s words and threw menacing looks his way.
"To treat or not? If so, move aside."
Peter took out his acupuncture needle set while walking forward.
As Cabral tried to object, Peter silenced him with another glare, prompting him to instinctively step back.
Once Cabral retreated, nobody else blocked Peter’s way.
"Back off, or you’ll think I’m targeting you," Peter told Cabral, noticing his proximity.
The translator translated it as a request from Peter for them to make some room so as not to hinder the treatment.
Upon seeing the foreigners moving further away, Peter began his procedure. His hands moved swiftly, sending silver needles flying into Christopher, who lay there unconscious.
At first glance, it was a terrifying sight. Christopher’s entire body, including his head, was covered with vibrating silver needles.
"You...!" An individual, clearly part of Christopher’s guard, expressed his shock towards Peter. He saw a needle even in the temporal region of Christopher’s head. Under normal circumstances, such a puncture would have been deadly.
To everyone’s surprise, the comatose patient was unaffected, whereas Prince Cabral let out a loud cry and spat out a mouthful of blood, despite being a considerable distance away.
Peter glanced at the chaotic crowd, swiftly pulled out the silver needles from Christopher, and injected a dose of True Qi.
After a moment’s thought, Peter also fed him a Replenishment pill.
As soon as Peter’s True Qi entered Christopher’s body, the unconscious prince immediately sat upright.
More astonishingly, not only was he sitting up, but his eyes also reflected a spark of life.
Dr. Richardson exclaimed. Although he had suspected Peter could potentially be capable of curing the prince, he was taken aback by the reality. He wondered how incredible Peter’s methods must be to treat the patient simply by inserting silver needles.
Compared to the bloody prince, the doctors and professors were more preoccupied with Christopher’s condition. They never thought Christopher could survive, but the young man who appeared out of nowhere miraculously revived him. Their eyes reflected a mixture of astonishment and comprehension.
Once Christopher sat up, he quickly recuperated. At that moment, his gaze met Cabral who was surrounded by people.
When Christopher’s gaze fell upon him, anger flared in Cabral’s eyes, and he began voicing commands to his subordinates in a foreign language.
Though Peter could hear their voices, he couldn’t understand the language, so he stood still.
Observing Cabral’s condition, Peter silently thought this kid had enacted the soul-stripping skill on his older brother and was now dealing with the backlash. He predicted that even if Cabral didn’t die, he’d surely be severely ill.
As Peter was contemplating, Christopher, who had awakened, walked toward him. His eyes first drifted to the silver needles in Peter’s hand. He then smiled at Peter and began to express something.
The translator quickly conveyed his words.
Only then did Peter understand that Christopher was thanking him for saving his life and mentioned that he needed to handle family issues first before expressing his gratitude properly.
Peter had noticed the shift in Christopher’s eyes. He deduced that there were problems between the brothers, and Christopher was well aware of the underhanded tactics used against him this time around.
Peter sighed internally. It seemed unavoidable to get entangled in their affairs. Unknowingly, he had already stepped in too deep.
After seeing Christopher awake, everyone’s attitudes changed significantly.
Christopher spoke a few words to Dael Smith and, without ordering treatment for the injured prince, they carried Cabral away.
Soon, the foreigners had all left the place.
Once they’d gone, everyone’s attention returned to Peter. Everyone was puzzled about the day’s treatment and wanted to know more.
"Doctor Peter, what exactly happened?" an old man finally asked.
"It’s nothing serious, just a minor issue that needed some needlework, no big deal," Peter replied casually.
Everyone looked at Peter with a complex expression — how can an issue that had stumped all the doctors and professors present be ’no big deal?’.
"Which school did you graduate from, Doctor Peter?" asked a middle-aged professor.
"I didn’t even finish high school — I’m a farmer," Peter replied truthfully.
Everyone stared at Peter in disbelief.
Dr. Richardson then smiled, "Given Peter’s exceptional circumstances, he has been admitted to our Traditional Chinese Medicine University in spite of the usual criteria. He’ll be starting university next semester."
This left everyone speechless again. Wasn’t this just too demoralizing?
Dael Smith gazed at Peter with a complex expression, "Today, you’ve done a great job, upholding our country’s honor. Well done!"
Peter turned to Dr. Richardson and chuckled, "I have some matters to attend to, so I won’t keep you all any longer. I’ll take my leave."
Having said that, Peter scurried away as if escaping the place.
Feeling rather uncomfortable being around these professors and doctors, Peter wasn’t eager to stick around.
