"Peter, where are you?"
Peter Brown was about to head back to Flower Creek Village when he received a call from Priest Wilson.
"Taoist priest, what’s the matter now?" Peter knew that whenever the priest called, it was never good news.
Sure enough, Priest Wilson said, "Peter, there truly is something that needs your help."
Peter laughed bitterly, "Taoist priest, I’m not that capable. The country has numerous experts, why do you have to find me?"
"Peter, this is the thing. At an island reef in the South Sea, a strange phenomenon has been occurring. Every full moon night, a red light shoots up to the sky from that place. The soldiers we sent have gone missing one by one, even our cultivation organization’s member also disappeared after getting there. This has alarmed the Higher-Ups."
How could such a thing happen!
Peter was indeed a bit intrigued.
"Peter, this time we will organize ten people to undertake another investigation, and I have recommended your inclusion to the Higher-Ups. I hope you would consider joining."
"Why would they let me join?"
"Peter, our team must send one person to participate, and everyone else is currently on a task. So I can only ask you for the favor."

Peter pondered for a moment and said, "Alright, I can go."

Peter smiled, "If possible, please help me procure some jade."
"Alright, I will handle that for you. A car has arrived in your county, I’ll have someone contact you. Time is pressing, we will set off soon."
After the call, Peter started considering his preparations. Feeling the seriousness, he was sure this was no ordinary matter.
After some thought, Peter made several calls informing specific people that he had to go abroad and might not be available.
Clearly, Priest Wilson had calculated that Peter would participate; hence the car was already dispatched. Soon after the call ended, a stranger called Peter.
"Commander, my name is Cyrus Parker. I was ordered to come and pick you up. I’ve arrived at your hotel."
When Peter went downstairs, he noticed a young man radiating an unusual aura standing in the lobby. At first glance, Peter noticed a bloody aura on the young man, a trait acquired only by those who had killed.
Without a word, Peter knew that this man carried the unique characteristics of a soldier.
As Peter approached, the man stood up and greeted him, "Commander, I, Cyrus Parker, am here to pick you up."
Peter didn’t say much; he just gave a slight nod and said, "Let’s go."
The car looked ordinary, but after getting in, Peter realized it was far from it. As soon as Peter sat in, the car sped off.
The car stopped at a local barracks, and a helicopter already waiting fired up and headed towards the provincial capital city.
Peter grinned to himself, Priest Wilson had certainly created quite a spectacle. He wondered what the big deal was.
After changing flights in the capital city, Peter switched vehicles several times before reaching a city in the south.
Upon arriving at a hotel, Priest Wilson, who had already arrived, greeted him, "Peter, thank you for taking the trouble."
Peter laughed, "Does this count as my completion of a task?"
"As long as you come back, we’ll consider it a task."
"Rest here for the moment. There are two more people yet to arrive. We’ll set off once everyone is here."
Peter nodded and asked, "Do we need to prepare anything else?"
"We’ve taken care of that. All the military supplies are ready and will be distributed once we board the ship. Oh yes, I’ve also arranged some jade for you, but it might not be much."
Priest Wilson was obviously busy. After delegating some tasks, he left.
After Priest Wilson left, Peter picked up a bag that had been left behind. There were only about ten bits of jade in it. However, they were all quality pieces suitable for inscribing talismans.

After packing these items into his space ring in a secluded spot, Peter felt a bit safer.

Once he finished buying the items, Peter stayed in his room ceaselessly inscribing various talismans.
After he had finished, Peter realized Priest Wilson had not yet arrived. So he took out some Lingcao from his ring and began refining some Healing Pills.
A day later Priest Wilson arrived, and Peter followed him onto a fishing boat.
"Taoist priest, we’re taking a fishing boat?" Peter asked with a smile.
Priest Wilson also smiled, "How could that be possible? We are using this boat to reach the deep-sea area, then a warship will take us further. We will then transfer to another boat at an island reef. We’re undertaking this mission in secret; we can’t directly sail to the reef."
Peter laughed, "Didn’t you say that people already know about this, how is it still secret?"

Priest Wilson didn’t say more. It seemed he was not fully in charge, only playing the role of an arranger.
"Tell me, Taoist priest, aren’t you in charge?"
"This matters is of great importance, a Squadron Captain has been dispatched to oversee. By the way, you might not be aware of our structure. The lowest rank is the group leader, like myself. Above that is the Junior Captain, then the Squadron Captain and then the Senior Captain. For anyone above that, I’m not entirely sure."
Peter was surprised, "Does that mean there are highly skilled cultivators among them?"
Priest Wilson replied, "At least, I’m sure there are individuals several levels above me."
Peter was stunned, thinking to himself that he had underestimated humans. It seemed there were indeed high-level cultivators.
