Celine gazed at herself in the mirror. She can't believe she was putting on a wedding gown…without her family. Though it was a contract marriage, she hopes her family could be with her. She knew she wasn't her father's favourite but he had never neglected her. Though she always had quarrels with Jasmine, she was still her little sister.
Celine took in a huge breath as she took the bouquet. Rufus had insisted on making the wedding a memorable one even if it was just a contract. She had refused but later agreed on only putting on the wedding gown to the registrar office.
She was very surprised at how the innkeeper got the wedding dress within two days. Rufus must have given him a lot of money. Celine was about to get up from the bed when the room door was pushed open.
"Are you ready?", Beta Rufus asked, looking at her with a stunned expression.
The woman before him was looking very gorgeous though she looked a little pale but compared to the night he saw her, she was looking way better.
The wedding gown was looking perfect on her body with her slender waist and her breast which was puffed up by the padding on the dress. He wished he could make a perfect wedding for them. But, he had to respect her wishes. He was at least happy that she agreed to put on a wedding dress.
"Yes, I am ready but please could we make it a little faster? I really want to rest early. You know we need to go back tomorrow", Celine said looking down.
She doesn't know why but her heart suddenly skipped when she saw the man in his white suit. He was looking so dashing. Her body was longing to hold him to herself. She wished she could just kiss those lips of his.
Hey Celine! What are you thinking? When did I become this spoiled?
Celine hit her head as she tried to get rid of those mushy thoughts from her head. Beta Rufus saw her hitting her head and he was confused.
"What happened, Celine? Are you alright?", He asked worriedly.
"Uh? Sorry, I am fine. It's just that I think I saw a fly buzzing around my head so I wanted to hit it", she made up a random excuse.
"Fly? I will get the innkeeper to change our room then", Beta Rufus suggested.
"No…no… I mean… I don't want you to bother him", she replied. She looked at him as she said", let's just go and get married".
Beta Rufus looked at her for a few seconds before nodding his head. She was looking a little weird but he shoved it off as he was excited to get married.
He made sure it was a little perfect for her. If not that she insisted on doing it low key, he would have gladly done everything required in a wedding.
Beta Rufus knew it was just a fake marriage but he was determined to make it real before the end of the six months. He would surely make her fall deeply in love with her.
He was determined never to let her go. If she was thinking he would just leave her after six months according to the contract, then she was in for a surprise. He was going to make her his…willingly.
He believes in his charms.
Beta Rufus held Celine's hand as they got into the rented car that will take them to the court for the registration. It felt so unreal yet a bit too shocking for Celine who had her head down all through the journey.
She never thought of getting married so soon and definitely not to a man that locked her family up under the orders of his master.
Actually, Alpha Jax was their master and they all had to obey him. But the case of Beta Rufus was different. He was the Alpha's right hand man…more like the executioner. He can't refuse an order…he has to obey at all cost or lose his life and that of his family. That was the rules in the Pack
That was one of the reasons that made Celine run away that morning when she found out she was in the house of the Beta of their Pack. And when she realized he was her mate, she couldn't take the pressure.
She always had the thought that the Alpha wants to punish her whole family for the crimes of Jasmine. She had warned that stupid girl so many times but their father had always edged her on.
Celine thought that it was all a trap to get her locked up alongside her parents. Her father had told her to hide the day before he was caught. He said he didn't want Alpha to kill his whole family.
But it seems it was all a misunderstanding. She wasn't even involved in the first place. At least that's what Beta Rufus told her.
"We are here, Celine", Beta Rufus cut into her thoughts.
"Oh! Okay, let's go in then", she said but she took no steps to get out of the car.
She was really scared…she was unsure of her decision. Should she do it? Will her father be pleased? She was feeling reluctant. What are the odds that this man would keep his promise to let her go after six months?
"We could go back if you want but remember what you promised. You agreed to it yourself", Beta Rufus said as he looked at the reluctant girl. Was it really hard to get married to him? Wasn't she supposed to be his mate?
Arrrgh! He so much hates to force himself on someone but he would have to do it if Celine decided to change her mind.
"Give her some time to calm down, Rufus", his wolf said.
"Yes, I know. I am just worried she might change her mind", Rufus replied.
"No, she won't. She is our mate, remember? She can never leave us", his wolf advised.
"It seems you are forgetting she already left us a long time ago. We are just lucky to get her back", Rufus replied to his wolf.
"I just believe she won't"
"I just hope so"
The sound of the car door opening jolted Rufus back to earth. He quickly got down so he could catch up with Celine who was walking very fast towards Court House
She seemed like she was afraid of changing her mind.

Celine looked at the marriage certificate in her hands with an awkward expression. She can't believe she was married to Rufus Edmund, the Beta to the Alpha of Blood Moon Pack.
When they got to the Court House, she braced up herself as she walked briskly towards it. She just doesn't want to regret it. She doesn't want to dishonor her promise.
Though he was her mate, Celine still find it surprising to be married to him.
She remembered vividly how she ran away that morning after they spent the night together. Her eyes bulged out when she found herself naked. She thought she had fallen into the hands of those useless drunks in the pub.
Though she couldn't remember all that happened that night, she can't forget the feeling attached. She felt a tingling sensation whenever he touched her.
Celine also felt the pain as he penetrated into her. It was so painful and she thought she was on fire but after a few thrusts more, she felt a sensation around her.
Celine bit her lips as she remembered how he touched and caressed her body that night and the pains afterwards. That was the one thing she couldn't forget even when she tried to. She felt defeated and weak.
Celine's face flushed bright red in embarrassment. Beta Rufus who saw her looking flushed couldn't help wondering what this little woman must be thinking.
The car they hired stopped at the front of the inn. The innkeeper welcomed them with some group of workers as they threw flowers all over the floor according to their tradition.
"I have written to my mother about our wedding. She would be preparing for the welcoming ceremony for you. Please just act along", Beta Rufus pleaded softly.
Celine nodded her head. Does she have a choice? She had already signed the papers. Besides, she had promised to do everything he asked so his family would think the marriage was real.
The only condition was that he won't touch her without her consent. But can he really do it?
"What about you, Celine? Can you stay in same room with him without having any sexual tendencies towards him?", Her wolf asked.
"Of course I can, Tita. It's easy", Celine replied hastily. Tita, her wolf, laughed at her before Celine angrily shut her out.
Celine was so angry that she balled her hand into a fist as she bit down on her lips.
She won't ever let him touch her. That was the agreement. Tita sure know how to piss her off.
