Around fifteen minutes later, Chii and the other two girls went ahead upstairs while I remained downstairs. Not because I was going to sleep outside the room but because I promised the other girls to contact them before midnight.
As soon as I opened my phone, my eyes fixated on the most recent notification.
"Ruki… How is the sleepover with Chizuru and her friends? Have you laid your hands on them as well?"

After thinking for a while, my fingers began tapping my screen, composing a cheeky reply.
"Sorry, Hifumi. Your man is so irresistible. It doesn't help that Chii mischievously invited them. Not that I'm putting all the blame on her. I await your punishment. Maybe a sleepover with your friends too?"

Not a minute later, Hifumi's reply arrived.

The living room was quiet now, save for the soft creak of the house settling and the distant hum of the girls' voices upstairs. An-rin's chaotic energy and Kushii's shy boldness were probably clashing as they bickered over who got which side of the bed, with Chii playing referee. Or maybe instigator?
I checked my other messages. There's Akane, who asked me if I managed to brew the tea. Then, Fuyu told me she couldn't sleep and asked me to send her a voice message.
Well, I hit the video call button instead. It connected almost instantly as if she was waiting for it since she had sent her message earlier.

She was propped up in her bed, a cozy blanket draped over her shoulders. The soft glow of her bedside lamp cast a warm halo around her.

"Ruki…" She greeted with a sweet whisper as if she didn't want to wake anyone else in her house. "I didn't expect a video call. You're supposed to be at a sleepover, not keeping me up with your face."

Her lips twitched into a small, playful pout. That's something she used to do whenever she wanted to scold me before. Nevertheless, her eyes sparkled with amusement. "Boyfriend, huh? Right. You are mine now… So, why are you going to sleep at another girl's house? I could've just listened to your voice and been fine. Now I'm stuck staring at your smug face."

Then I lifted it, putting it at an angle where she could see the entirety of me. Fuyu's eyes widened for a split second before she burst into a fit of giggles, her hand covering her mouth to muffle the sound.

"Right, I did." I put on a wry smile before continuing to tease her.
Just , the video call continued for a few more minutes before the girl became satisfied. Right after the call ended, she sent me another photo of her, this time, with a proper view of her nightgown.
Really, just when I thought I could already calm down for the night, she fed me more stimulants.
Before going upstairs to join Chii and the others, I continued checking the other messages and Hifumi's reply.
