Yasmin look at her wardrobe and it feels so empty just like her heart, the party is just few hours away and she has nothing to wear
She has been so engrossed in work and forget to check if she has any attire for the party.
Although there are few dresses but they don't seem fix for the occasion, she can not wear what he has seen her in before, it has to be something new
Something to proof to him she is doing so well after he broke her heart brutally, which means going shopping in the limited time.

After the long battle for what dress to buy Yasmin settle for long arm wine red off-shoulder with high slit and braided updo for the party.
She walk outside the house and meet Mr. Bays about to get out of the car, thankfully she is not too late
Yasmin walk to him with a grateful smile for offering to drive her to the party.
After what happened the last time in her apartment he apologized for his behavior and told her it was a mistake of the moment
She decided to take his words for it and just let go, after all he is still her Boss and she made a promise.
"You are stunning" he said to her staring in awe
"That's the goal" she said with a light chuckle
She wait for him to help open the door but when he keep staring at her, Yasmin decide to open it herself instead
"Oh! Pardon me" he apologize as she reach for the car door and open it for her
Yasmin got in and he follow after getting into the driver seat and drives to the party.

Ever since childhood Kyler Black has love parties and merrymaking, it's his way of relieving his stress and today's party is no different.
For days now he has not been himself and could barely keep up with work.
The party was supposed to be the public launching of the new businesses and the introduction of the new small companies partners
Despite the success and the preparation for the occasion, Kyler feels a bit suffocated entering the large decorative hall with Veronica
Maybe because 'she' will be here today and he still do not have the courage to face her.
After a long yearning he might get tempt if he happen to set eyes on her.
When she didn't arrive early, Kyler who has had his eyes fixed on the entrance start to think she is not coming
Maybe she hasn't recover from the break-up yet and can't bring herself to see a betrayal like him.
"Mum is here, I will go talk to her for a moment" Veronica said to him
They've been walking together for a little while now and he has forgotten she was with him
"Go ahead" he said and watch her leave
He must be selfish not to let her go after utterly betraying her also, he thought forgiveness was all he needed to revive their marriage but it failed
No matter how much he tried, his heart could not bring itself to forgive her for sleeping with another man
He keep imagining and dreaming about it every night when he lies beside her in bed.
Maybe it isn't selfishness but the strong determination to fulfil his vow to his father and not be like him

Veronica walk up to her mother who just arrived with her Father and give them a brief hug
"You guys didn't tell me you were coming"
"President Black invited us" her mother replied with a smile
"Are you treating him well?"
"Of course he's my husband"
The other woman appear behind them and stop beside her father holding a smug expression on her face
"It's been a long time Veronica, I heard you visited the house few days ago"
"What is she doing here?" Veronica asked looking upset
"I asked to come along" her father replied
"Yes, It was suffocating always having to stay in the house so honey bring me along to get some social air"
This is ridiculous! Bringing his mistress to such party function as this and that too with his wife just feels wrong
What if people find out about her and worst of all the fact that the Giuliana family has an illegitimate son
Or is that what this venom is trying to do? She sure isn't back for nothing, this thief really want to steal big from her
"I don't think my husband will be too happy to see your mistress at his party Dad" she said with a faint smile after much thought
"Today I'm accompanying my son, he joined the family's company as a manager"
Veronica is shock to know her half-brother has joined the company and turn to her mother who nod her head to affirm it
Trying to be calm she turn to her father and ask to be excuse with her mother pulling her a short distance away.
"If you continue to keep quiet and let Dad have his way, that slutty woman will steal everything away from you Mom!"
"She has already stolen your father, It is only because of your husband's threat that he hasn't divorce me" she said about to breakdown
Veronica look disappointed at her Mom who seem to have lost all hope of getting her husband back
How can she let another woman steal her husband in the first place? And now have her place threatened
She even let herself become a joke in the heart of the man she's married to, unlike her who after involved in an affair still got her man to herself
Veronica sighs and try to hug her Mum to comfort her when the two people who just walk in capture her attention instead

Kyler stare at the infuriating scene of the two walking into the hall with their hands cross together in a closer contact
He drop the glass of wine he has been holding for a long time without taking a sip out of it and move closer
She look so ravishing and breathtaking in the body hug dress, her low thigh is reveal in the dress and it catch his eyes immediately she take another step closer
The smile on her face is the same with the one she always have on whenever she feels happy about something
When he complimented her because she got a job well-done or when she sees him from afar
But she is looking at another man and giving him the exactly smile
"Miss. Cassidy is here"
"I can see that" he snapped at Alex who just stop beside him.
The nervous feelings about seeing her is no longer there, he feels so het up now that she arrived holding another man.
Without thinking he walk to them before Alex could stop him and stop them from going forward
The smile on Yasmin's face disappears slowly as the familiar unresistable pair of blue eyes glare at her
She know she promise herself not to get flustered by him tonight no matter what but just seeing him and having his gaze on her breaks all the courage she has managed to mustered.
"I'm sorry I'm late president Black, an emergency came up at the last minute"
Mr. Bays said to him apologetical
"It is very irresponsible of you" he replied with a harsh smirk looking at Yasmin and she almost thought those words are for her.
"I did not know Miss. Cassidy is your secretary too" he said glancing briefly at Mr. Bays then down at their entangled arms
"She could be anything to me after all she is mine" Mr. Bays replied with a brief smile and Yasmin look surprise at his choice of words
"Mine?" Kyler asked with raised brows and his eyes seems to light up an unfriendly fire

Kyler push his hands into his pockets trying to stay calm and not raise his fists up but it also seems he is being teased by him.
"If you would excuse us..." He said and Kyler swear he catch his smirk as they walk past him.
His furious eyes follow after her every steps and watch their hands wanting so much to disengage it
Just as he wanted to go again to them, Alex came and stop him shaking his head to ascertain it's a bad idea when he gaze at him.

Yasmin smile again at the beautiful comments being showered on her by the men that surrounded them and try not to blush too much.
It was a really blessing that she listened to her heart and brought a new dress
But then she feels uncomfortable like he is watching her closely, like a hawk watches it prey in order to grab it away.
She dare not look back to check if this is really true for the fear that she might actually catch him staring
Although it might be her wide imagination but it is better to play it safe than get caught staring instead.
The angry face minutes ago still bothers her, he really do not want her here
"Yasmin?"
"Huh?"
She turn to Mr. Bays who just call her name clueless about what was discussed ten seconds ago
"Do you don't want a drink?" He asked and Yasmin look at his hands to see two glasses
"Of course I want" she said with a cool smile and take the glass with a thank you
She try to concentrate on the talks and also try meeting the new partners alongside Mr. Bays

Alex tap him again for the sixth time to get his attention once more and the people in front of him knew it's time they leave
"We hope to talk more another time"
Kyler ignore them and focus on the one person he has been staring at for the past twenty-five minutes
He feels restless seeing them still close to each other and the other guys who keep trying to flirt with her at interval
It seems like his precious toy being snatch away and played with by others.
"You are not hoping to kill them with your glares are you?"
"I wish I could" he murmured heatedly
"Is her presence bothering you? Should I ask her to leave?"
"What nonsense! Why would I be bothered by someone I have no business with anymore" he replied with a snap taking his eyes off for a bit
"Of course"
"I should have made this a non-male party"
Kyler turn back to watching her moves and widen his eyes in great shocking fury
He watch her chuckle as a guy slowly put his fingers on her neck and touch her necklace with a smile
Determined to get his fists on the guy's face, Kyler try charging to them but Alex stop him with a grab
"There are too many eyes, your wife too is here" he reminded him
Kyler give a furious heavy sigh and breath out trying to maintain his cool but it's not working
He then turn to Alex and an idea struck him, something to get her away from the men.
