Lin Yi acted as if she hadn’t noticed the icy glint in Li Xiaofei’s eyes. She continued to smile calmly as she said, “If I’m not mistaken, your two precious daughters and their mother are already in our hands.”
Eden never acted without absolute confidence. Her coming to meet Li Xiaofei meant she was certain of her advantage. Li Xiaofei remained silent. Then, he suddenly struck.
Lin Yi only felt a blur before her eyes, and a moment later, she was dragged into a strange indigo-colored space. It was dim and oppressive, with rolling yin energy. The ground was shrouded in a bluish-purple mist, and the sky was seemingly within arm’s reach. A bizarre energy filled the space between heaven and earth. She felt the energy in her body not only being suppressed, but slowly drained away.
“A domain space?” Lin Yi was truly shocked and said, “You’ve actually mastered such a divine technique?”
Li Xiaofei’s heart stirred. Lin Yi’s expression didn’t seem fake. That meant she wasn’t Angrus. After all, he had already dragged Angrus into this little black room and killed him two or three times already.
Li Xiaofei wasted no more words and struck without hesitation. He summoned his battle armor and the Blood Dragon Spear appeared in his hand. He unleashed his full killing intent with a thrust.
The sky instantly filled with spear shadows. Each and every spear image carried the explosive power of a star.
Lin Yi stood her ground, her fair hand lifting gently, using nothing but her flesh and blood to confront the spear shadows head-on.
Sparks scattered in all directions. Lin Yi, the most beautiful woman in all of Chongque City, stood there like a frail willow in the wind. Yet astonishingly, she received Li Xiaofei’s endless, star-shattering spear strikes with her bare hands.
Li Xiaofei’s expression turned serious. He had already sensed her true strength from the moment he drew her into the Realm of Eternal Samsara. This domain siphoned the opponent’s energy and laws into his own body. The more it could draw, the stronger the opponent was. Lin Yi’s strength was at least at the Pulsar level.
“If I didn’t have absolute confidence, would I have come to find you?” Lin Yi smiled. “After all, you’re the infamous monster who killed two Bureau Directors.”
Li Xiaofei flipped his spear and planted it into the ground before him. His voice was cold. “Your schemes are clever, too clever. They’re so clever they’ll cost you your life. You’re cautious, I’ll give you that. But not cautious enough.”
As his voice rang out, a long blade appeared in his hand. It was a celestial iron treasure saber he had obtained from Chongque City’s resource vault. The saber flashed.
Lin Yi’s expression changed drastically. The white blade light rushing toward her left her with the impression that she could not evade or resist it. She immediately recognized it as the pressure of blade intent. The strike could not be taken barehanded.
Lin Yi immediately formed hand seals in front of her. Three golden jasmine emblems emerged from her sleeves, spinning rapidly to form a golden shield that guarded her from head to toe.
But the thunderous clash between blade light and shield never came. The blade light simply passed silently, and everything returned to stillness. Yet, Li Xiaofei did not follow with a second strike. Instead, he simply withdrew.
“Your saber technique is impressive, but there’s no way it could break through my Three-Petal Glazed Lantern...” A trace of a smile formed on Lin Yi’s face.
But before she could finish...
Blood splattered loudly throughout the space. A hint of disbelief appeared on Lin Yi’s stunning face as she looked down in shock. Her arms had been severed from her body. She hadn’t blocked that strike at all.
“You...”said Lin Yi, instinctively taking a step back.
But suddenly, her vision spun into chaos. Her body crashed heavily to the ground. She realized that at some unknown moment, her legs had also been cut off. That one strike from Li Xiaofei had severed all four of her limbs, reducing her to a limbless torso.
Blood gushed violently. Lin Yi lay on the ground, struggling to lift her head to look at Li Xiaofei. He walked slowly toward her, saber in hand. That strike just now had been from his self-created saber technique, the Naihe Bridge.
He had never used his sword or saber techniques since arriving in Chongque City. He had always fought with the spear. But to save his daughters, he had no choice but to end it quickly.
A Naihe Bridge infused with Black Hole level life energy had completely defeated Lin Yi. Li Xiaofei’s plan was to subdue Lin Yi and then force the truth about his daughters’ whereabouts from her. Or to use her as a hostage to rescue them.
When she watched Li Xiaofei draw closer and closer, Lin Yi’s mind was spinning wildly, processing everything. A sharp thought flashed through like a lightning bolt. And finally, Lin Yi understood.
She suddenly burst into wild laughter. “So it’s you! You’re the one, the Primordial God that Chang’e has been hiding all along! It was you... hahaha! You’ve been hiding right here all this time! You’re finished now!”
A savage gleam flashed in Lin Yi’s eyes, as she unhesitatingly forced all the energy in her body to erupt. It was like a star being detonated. A terrifying surge of energy exploded within the entire Realm of Eternal Samsara, shaking the domain to its very foundations.
Li Xiaofei retreated at full speed. But even so, he was still blasted backward by the force of the self-destruction. When he landed, his breath was slightly unsteady. His plan was now completely ruined.
Li Xiaofei’s expression darkened. He hadn’t expected Lin Yi to be so ruthless as to choose self-destruction at the critical moment. Worse still, Li Xiaofei couldn’t even confirm if Lin Yi had truly died, or if just like Angrus, she was using a false body.
If it was the latter, then things had become very troublesome. Too much had been exposed. He deactivated the Realm of Eternal Samsara and returned to the prison cell. The entire confrontation had lasted no more than a few minutes. But Li Xiaofei knew he could no longer stick to the original plan and wait here any longer.
He had originally intended to endure the tortures of the Dark Division’s prison to experience the brink of death. That way, he could replicate Ishihara Masami’s miraculous cultivation breakthrough.
With his current level of martial cultivation and life force, if he succeeded, he wouldn’t just surpass Ishihara Masami in all aspects, he could leap straight to becoming invincible below the Black Hole level. But now... he couldn’t risk it anymore.

“You’re back?” said Si Kongxue, looking at him with a gentle smile.
She didn’t ask how he had suddenly appeared in the room. Li Xiaofei had made his preparations the last time he returned to Chongque City. She, the children, and his parents had all been hidden in this ‘Safe House.’
This was the newest Safe House he had set up. He had been here before, which was why he could use Spatial Point Theft to teleport directly to it.
Now that he saw his wife and daughters safe, Li Xiaofei finally let out a long breath of relief. It was now clear that Lin Yi had been bluffing earlier. But he also understood that the real war had begun.
He was now an enemy of Chongque City. No, of both Chongque City and Eden. Every step from here on would be critical.
