Silva looked forward, and the monster was already headed his way again. He smiled, gripped the Abyssal Blade with both hands, and looked ahead. "Are you ready to take it down?" he asked.
"Have been for the longest time," the blade replied.
Silva pulled back as flames wrapped around the sword, twisting and coiling. His gaze was locked on the monster. He launched forward, thrusting the blade, it ripped through the dimension, leaving small dimensional tears.
In that one blade alone was a power that could dissipate a mountain instantly, destroy a massive country, and ruin a continent. Yet that monster came to face it head-on, fist versus sword.
They collided, sound vanished, color seemed to fade as well in that instant. BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The explosion came seconds later, and what it left was a devastating wake. The air was ripped apart, the temperature of the sky rose rapidly, and dimensional tears formed everywhere.
The monster was entirely evaporated; nothing of it remained. All that stood there was Silva, floating above the battlefield below.
"It lasted longer than I expected," Silva muttered, then looked down to see the battle that was happening. His clones were going at it with full force, ripping through the hordes of enemies with relative ease. The ten of them managed to stop all the hordes and refused to let them pass. No matter how many came, they couldn't get through at all.
Silva flew down, looked at the city, and noticed the gates slowly opening. Then, the host of armies from the citizens emerged, some riding strange ice monsters that looked like mythical lions or something, while others flew on wings, all led by the same ice angel he had fought before.
They roared in battle as they rushed forward, their presence making the ground shake violently.
"I guess their city is no joke at all," Silva commented. He stood there watching as they approached while his clones kept fighting.
When the army got close and saw someone standing there, the leader immediately called a halt, keeping a safe distance.
He looked at Silva and instantly knew who he was. He felt his heartbeat quicken and drew a cold breath to calm himself and analyze the situation. Looking around, he saw Silva taking down the enemy, well, multiple versions of Silva.
That made him realize he had been wrong about Silva, and when Silva had said he wasn't their enemy, he had meant it.
He was also stunned when he realized that only ten of Silva's clones were holding off the entire horde of Abyssal monsters, and none could even get through. This revealed more of Silva's strength and made the ice angel understand how wrong he had been to fight him. If Silva had wanted to, he could have destroyed him in moments.
This realization was heavy, it hurt his ego, but most of all, he knew he had to make things right with their savior and ensure he didn't back away from helping them. With that thought in mind, he came down from his mount and walked toward Silva.
His men called out to him, but he ignored them and continued walking. When he was close, he clasped his hands together and bowed his head.
The scene shocked the entire army. In their tribe, this gesture was the greatest form of respect, used for apologies and grand greetings. It was not something to be thrown around, so when they saw it, they were shocked.
"I'm sorry, great hero, for the way I acted before. Even if it will cost me my life, I apologize," the ice angel said.
The scene was completely ridiculous because, behind Silva, a war was raging. The sounds of the monsters tore through the air, all of them held back by a few clones. It was an incredibly surreal sight.
Silva smiled, then turned around. "Take your army back. We'll be handling this," he said casually and walked away with his sword in hand. He stepped into the midst of the Abyssal monsters and, like his clones, began to massacre them.
Outside the exam, seven figures sat in the dark of a hall, each one slightly illuminated by a light behind them that only showed their silhouettes.
They sat in a circular arrangement on large marble thrones, and at the center of the hall was a large marble sphere floating.
With that sphere alone, they watched everything happening in the exams. Each of them could tell what was going on everywhere at the same time inside the exam.
"It seems that Luwen from the Azure Dragon Sect is really competent and powerful," a voice said, deep and distorted.
"Indeed he is. But why would the Azure Dragon Sect send one of their prodigies to us, the Arcane Council? Our ways and theirs do not match even in the slightest," another voice said.
"We have gone past the time of that divide. The Arcane Council is the most powerful organization on the planet, regardless of how much the cultivators and martial artists try to deny it," another said.
"Indeed. They still need our help when it comes to certain parts of the planet and the Lumis region as a whole, the ancient grounds, the resources, and everything else. We still have a lot to offer.
And much like us, they also have a lot to offer. We are working with them now to see how we can have a mutually beneficial arrangement," one spoke. Her voice was distorted, but it sounded mostly female. The source of thɪs content is 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵~𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖~𝙣𝙚𝙩
"Hmmm… there are two other figures that have caught my attention. One seems to be of some sort of elf race, and the other is of vampiric blood.
Those two have shown extreme skill and finesse in dealing with their issues. They both have their laws, and they are using them very well. Incredible," one said.
"Hmm, unusual, they are the first version of their race that i have seen here on this planet." Another deep voice said.
