As the Revenge opened fire with its laser cannons, Adam had Spector perform some basic evasive manoeuvres like barrel rolls to avoid the laser beams before he turned sharply and headed for another part of the asteroid field as the Revenge followed while continuing to open fire.
"Get back here bastard." Bonnie's voice suddenly said through the intercom.
Adam ignored her as he continued having Spector evade the oncoming attacks while manoeuvring around the asteroids.
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Why does it seem like he is not gaining any ground on the large ship? Aren't smaller ships supposed to be faster and more manoeuvrable?]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): The asteroids must be making it difficult for him, look, the large ship is not bothering to avoid the asteroids and is instead blasting any that get in the way.]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): The advantage of having a bigger gun I suppose.]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Still he should be getting away.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Maybe he's purposefully not trying to get away.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Why would he do that?]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): I guess he plans to keep her busy until the fleet arrives to attack her.]
"Hold still and let me kill you already you damn snake." Bonnie said just before she fired off 12 seeker missiles causing warning alarms to go off in Spector's cockpit.
[Entrash (Hoenn 7): WTF! That's 12 missiles, isn't that overkill?]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): I told you larger ships had more powerful weapons, that isn't just the power of the weapons but also the number they can fire at once.]
"Prepare countermeasures and standby to launch on my command." Adam instructed as he piloted Spector towards one of the larger asteroids.
"Affirmative, Thermal Countermeasures are standing by."
Adam had Spector skirt just above the large asteroid that was spinning through space as the 12 missiles the Revenge had launched closed in on him rapidly.
As the Spector approached a rather sharp piece of the asteroid that was jutting out Adam had Spector turn sharply after flying over the jutting out part before saying "Deploy."
Some of the 12 missiles that were closest to the surface of the asteroid attempted to follow Spector before they had passed the jutting out section which caused them to crash into the asteroid and explode while the remaining missiles got confused by the thermal countermeasures that appeared as they rounded the corner causing them to retarget on them and detonate.
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Damn that was close.]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): Yes however I expect that won't be the last time the large class ship launches missiles, the larger the ship the more room for munitions it has after all.]
"Slippery fucker, try dodging this, fire the Tachyon Cannon." Bonnie said angrily before the front of her ship split open like two doors to reveal the barrel of a laser cannon much larger than the rest.
"*ALERT* Tachyon Cannon detected."
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Oh fuck.]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): What the hell is that?]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): What the hell is a Tachyon Cannon and why's it so big.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Afraid that Bonnie's ship would have a Tachyon Cannon. These weapons are much larger and more destructive than what the ship normally uses in battle.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Are you saying not all ships have them? Also why hasn't she used it before now if it's so powerful.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7):Tachyon Cannons are energy based weapons that can fire energy beams that are far larger and more powerful than normal over extremely long distances at a speed faster than light.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Wait, I thought you said energy weapons can't travel faster than light?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): The energy produced by laser cannons can't, however tachyon energy is a different type of energy and is indeed capable of traveling faster than light while also being fired in FTL because of this.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Tachyon Cannons can only be found on ships of the large class and above, this is because of their size and the power requirement that is needed to fire them.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): The reason why she hasn't used it before now is because of its incompatibility with this battle. Tachyon Cannons, although powerful, can only be fired infrequently because of the time they need to cool and recharge after each use.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): They are normally only used against ships of the same class and above or maybe a space station. They excel at dealing mass destruction of everything the beam touches except for the most powerful of shields and armour.]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Are you saying the streamers ship is toast if it gets hit?]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): She must be super pissed if she's using a tachyon cannon against the streamer.]
Adam piloted Spector making it enter a vertical dove in an attempt to avoid the tachyon cannons attack as the chat watched particles of energy forming on the barrel's tip.
Suddenly the particles vanished from the tip of the barrel a fraction of a second before Spector seemed to suddenly lose control and be flung away while spinning and rotating crazily just as a beam of energy far thicker, longer and more powerful than anything the chat had seen so far erupted from the barrels end.
The chat watched as the energy beam sped through the asteroid field disintegrating anything it touched until It finally dissipated leaving nothing but a straight line devoid of any asteroids.

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): I'm impressed you saw that, most would have missed it. That's because the tachyon energy hit him before the beam came into view.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): What! How's that possible?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): You forget that tachyon energy travels faster than light, while the beam you saw was in fact only the light of the tachyon energy traveling at the speed of light. Naturally he was hit by the tachyon energy before the light beam.]
[Justiceistruth: (Earth): Holy shit, I didn't even catch that.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): It's not surprising since they happened at almost the exact same moment. All the asteroids and other space debris that were hit actually disintegrate before the light beam hit them, of course the further the tachyon energy travels the more time it would take for the light beam to catch up.
[Justiceistruth: (Earth): Then why is he still alright if he got hit?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): He must have just narrowly avoided being directly hit by the tachyons beam itself and instead been hit by the residual force of the energy beam; he's very lucky, if he was even slightly slower he and his ship would have disintegrated.]
"Lucky fucker." Bonnie said angrily as Spector continued to spin out of control narrowly avoiding several asteroids.
Adam's hands flew over the console in front of him as he wrestled with the out of control Spector until he finally managed to get in under control.
Adam breathed a sigh of relief before another warning alarm went off as the Revenge fired off another 12 missiles at him.
"For fucks sack." Adam cursed as he controlled Spector to flee from the incoming missiles.

[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): This is pretty standard and why you rarely see lone smaller ships taking on a larger one.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): She's basically bullying him, it's like when he played against Prime in Space Rogue.]
[Devil_Prince_Asura (Deverinian 9): Yeah except this time the pirate boss is really trying to kill him and not just bullying him because it makes her feel superior.]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Shame he can't throw an asteroid at the pirate ship like he did to Prime.]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): Also death here is permanent unlike in Space Rogue.]
Spector flew and swerved between smaller asteroids as it tried to stay ahead of the incoming missiles.
While some of them hit the smaller asteroids and exploded, most stayed locked onto Spector.
"Have the rear ballistic repeaters open fire on the missiles and prepare more countermeasures." Adam instructed.
"Affirmative, Ballistic Repeaters opening fire and Thermal Countermeasures are standing by." Spector responded as the chat watched the hidden compartments on the back open before two ballistic repeaters started firing rapidly at the remaining incoming missiles.
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Why is he using his ballistic repeaters now?]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): There isn't a large enough asteroid around for him to pull the same trick as last time, also if he continues to just use his countermeasures he will eventually run out.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): What's taking the fleet so long to arrive damn it?]
"What the fuck was that? Report." Admiral Dexter said in surprise as the fleet that was trying to catch up with Adam and the Revenge saw a giant energy beam sweep through the asteroid field as it disintegrated everything in its path.
"Sensors show it was a Tachyon Cannon sir." The sensor operator said in disbelief.
"A what! Where did that bitch get a tachyon cannon and why didn't Cooper tell me, fuck."
