“I knew it, didn’t I tell you all?” Malgath said as he sat behind his desk, facing the audience and cameras with a smug smile.
“I told you that the TiSF were incapable of protecting their own space, and the latest reports coming out of the universal senate prove that I am once again correct.
The universal senate has voted in favour of placing trade embargoes on the Terran Empire. As to what these trade embargos are, we will have to wait until the universal senate decides and makes a statement.
I personally am all in favour of this, even more so after the TISF’s attack on the ship transporting Diva Lorelie, Dragon Princess Tephe, and this shows close friend and regular guest Diva Rowena.
Honestly, the Terran Empire should be lucky they are getting away with just some trade embargos; if the worst had happened and those three had died, then the Terran Empire could very well be looking at a war against three other races, two of whom are more powerful than them.
I don’t think I need to explain to everyone what would have happened to the Terran Empire should that eventuality have taken place.
To talk more on this subject we just coincidentally happen to have a guest who knows much about the workings of the universal senate, so let me welcome my guest, another close friend of the show, former senator of the Hades Galaxy to the universal senate, Lady Erkath.”
“He really does hate the Terran race, doesn’t he?” Adam said as he and the women relaxed in the mess hall watching The MMM Show.
“It’s not all that surprising, really. Malgath is, after all, related to Princess Liluth Solar.” Rowena replied with a giggle.
“He is?” Adam asked in surprise.
“Yes, he is married to Ulesse Solar, the third princess of the Solarian kingdom and younger sister of Liluth.
“It makes sense then,” Adam replied in realisation.
“Are you worried about the repercussions the Terrans will face?” Lorelie asked with curiosity.
“Not at all, after the attempts the TISF made on me and the bounty they placed, I believe that this will do them good. They should focus more on protecting their space from real threats, such as what happened to you.”
“Then what’s your opinion of Malgath?” Rowena asked curiously.
“I don’t really know him well enough to comment; all I can say is that he certainly knows how to host a talk show.”
“Talk show?” Rowena asked?
“It’s what we call this type of show back on Earth, where guests appear in person or via video feed and talk about different subjects such as their recent works,” Adam explained.
“Really? You have these sorts of shows back on your planet?” Rowena replied with interest before asking, "What's a video feed, though?”
“It’s like a holo call, except that we don’t have holograms back on my world, so the celebrities who can’t make it to the studio because of their busy schedules call in using a computer or phone, and they appear on a large screen normally behind the host.”
“Interesting, I have never heard of someone calling into The MMM Show or, for that matter, any other talk show, as you call it.”
“What do you call them then?”
“We call them Holochat Shows.”
“Ah, that makes sense,” Adam replied before suggesting, as a joke, “maybe you should call up Malgath then and make a surprise appearance on his show.”
“Oh, that's an interesting and entertaining idea,” Rowena said thoughtfully.
“I agree, it would certainly cause a stir if you suddenly did that.” Lorelie agreed as she too thought the idea sounded interesting.
“Seriously? How is that no one has ever thought of doing this before? I mean, what happens when a celebrity can’t make it to the show?” Adam asked in surprise.
“Appearance on Holochat shows are arranged months in advance once a celebrity's new project has been confirmed for the go-ahead; that way, they can book it in the schedule well ahead of time,” Lorelie replied.
“Ok, but what happens if a celebrity comes up with something new and innovative? Like what happened to you and Earth’s music?” Adam asked.
“That very rarely happens, and if it does, it is generally just reported by the press like in news feeds,” Lorelie replied.
“That can’t help your career grow anywhere near as much as appearing on a Holochat show,” Adam replied.
“That's just how things are,” Lorelie replied with a shrug.
“So change it,” Adam said adamantly.
“What?” Lorelie and Rowena replied together while Tephe listened with interest.
“Set a new precedent, sure, other celebrities and entertainment companies will quickly realise how this will help them grow in popularity, but you will both go down in history as the founders of this new idea and precedent, and that is something no one can ever change or take away from you.
Imagine the reaction that will take place if you both make a surprise appearance on The MMM Show, especially after the incident that just took place and while you're the talk of the universe.”
Lorelie and Rowena stared at Adam in surprise before Rowena asked, “How did you come up with that idea?”
“I didn’t.” Adam replied before continuing, “It’s something that’s been happening back on Earth for years. I’m honestly surprised that no one in the entire known universe has thought of it before.
This is the perfect opportunity for you to boost her fame even more, Lorelie. After all, everyone is already talking about your new genre of music and wanting to hear more of it… There's an idea: why don’t you perform a song for everyone live on the show?
This way, it will build even more anticipation for your upcoming tour, and with Rowena here joining you on the holo call, her career will benefit as well.”
“What do you think?” Lorelie turned and asked Rowena after thinking for a moment.
“I think this idea has merit, also it will be interesting to see how Malgath and everyone else react to our sudden appearance on the show,” Rowena replied with her signature smirk and a sparkle of amusement in her eyes.
“I agree, I think we should give it a try.”
“Do you have a song in mind?”
“Good, let's do it then.”
“Of course, this all depends on you having Malgath’s contact info,” Adam stated.
“That’s not a problem, as I have long had his contact details; the issue is having him answer since he has most likely disabled notifications while he is live,” Rowena replied before accessing her uniband.
“I see your point.” Adam commented before thinking of something and asking, “Spector, can you help in any way?”
“If Diva Rowena adds Malgath Morthil Mirawenys to her emergency contact list and connects her uniband to one of my access terminals, I can then trick her uniband into thinking that she is in distress and have it force communication,” Spector replied.
“Emergency contact list?” Adam asked curiously.
“Every uniband has an emergency contact list so that in the event of an emergency, emergency service personnel can use their own unibands, which have special privileges to force the injured individual's uniband to call everyone on that list,” Lorelie explained.
“Won’t that cause contact to be sent to everyone in my emergency contact list?” Rowena asked.
“Negative, while that is indeed the way it works normally, I can limit it to only contact Malgath Morthil Mirawenys.”
“Let’s do that then,” Rowena replied before she added Malgath to her emergency contact list and then held her uniband over one of Spector’s access terminals that was on the table in front of her.
“Connection established.”
“Accessing emergency contact list.”
“Isolating Malgath Morthil Mirawenys' contact information.”
“Generating fake emergency service personnel override.”
“Initiating emergency contact.”
“So what you're saying, Lady Erkath, is that the Terran Empire can expect severe trade embargoes from the universal senate,” Malgath asked the beautiful Solarian who sat on the seat next to his desk.
“That is correct, considering that the Brood are not only one of the founding races of the universal senate, but that the very first supreme speaker, Kavita, is Diva Rowena’s ancestor, I think we can expect them to push for ‘very’ severe trade embargos.
Also, let's not forget that the dragons will not take kindly to Dragon Princess Tephe almost dying after finally making her debut. After all, they have worked hard to keep much about the dragon princess secret from the rest of the galaxy in order to protect her, only for the TISF to almost kill her.

As Lady Erkath continued to speak, an alarm suddenly sounded in the studio, shocking everyone from the show staff to the audience.
As everyone registered where the alarm was coming from, they all focused on Malgath, who had raised his uniband with concern etched on his face.
However, after reading the information that his uniband was showing him, his face morphed from concern to confusion.
